Stampin’ Up! Endless Birthday Wishes!

Stampin’ Up! Endless Birthday Wishes!

Hey there! Today I'm sharing  another Birthday Card Buffet sample, Endless Birthday Wishes:

Stampin_up_endless_birthday_wishes_1 - Copy

I LOVE everything about this set- the fonts, the birthday cake, how EASY it is to stamp!

Cool thing about photopolymers: they are super-easy to stamp a bunch at the same time. They are super-sticky and you can see through them as you stamp! I know this isn't new news, but until Stampin' Up! offered high-quality photopolymers about a year ago, I was photopolymer-resistant. Now I am IN LOVE!

To stamp each of the words separately on the white panel would have taken FOREVER, so this is how I did it:
Stampin_up_endless_birthday_wishes_3 - Copy

Attaching them all to Block I, I laid my Whisper White panel on my Stampin' Pierce Mat, then stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink (available soon). The Stampin' Pierce Mat "gives" a little bit when you stamp, which helps with ink transfer.

After I stamped the cursive words, I stamped the typeset words separately. I found that stamping the two fonts on the same block did not work well.

I colored the cake with my Coastal Cabana and Daffodil Delight Blendabilites Markers. These alcohol-based markers will be available to order sometime later this summer.

We stamped the inside with just one phrase and the "confetti" stamp in Daffodil Delight Classic ink:

The problem: the Endless Birthday Wishes stamp set is temporarily unavailable. Ugh! All non-catalog photopolymers are while-supplies-last, so when they are sold out they generally are gone forever.

The good news: Endless Birthday Wishes will be back, at least until the second shipment sells out, so when I let you know it's available again you need to order it quick! I will post the supply list for this card at that time.

While we are waiting for Endless Birthday Wishes to come back, here's a BRAND NEW set just out today, Calling All Heroes (item 138002)

Stampin’ Up! Papillion Potpourri!

Stampin’ Up! Papillion Potpourri!

Good morning! It's Monday and my first day back taking care of Liam! I'm really looking forward to it, he's such a fun little guy!

Today's card is another swap from convention by Andrea MacDonald. Andrea combined the Lattice Bigz Die, Papillion Potpourri, and the Bitty Butterfly punch to create this stunning card!

Andrea macdonald papillon potpourri

Cardstock is Whisper White, Basic Black, and Daffodil Delight. Ink is Jet Black StazOn. A bit of Daffodil Delight Polka Dot Parade Designer Paper and Daffodil Delight 1/2" Seam Binding add just the perfect touch of class to this one!

This card has no greeting, which is card sacrilidge as far as I am concerned (I like for all of my cards to "speak" to me, to invite me to open them!). In this card's defence, however, it could have just about any greeting, except for may "happy father's day" or "merry christmas", and this card would fit the bill!

That's all for now. If you remember from last school year, I go to Liam's house, so I need to get going. I have to drive by another grade school on my way to his house, and if the lights are flashing I have to drive REALLY SLOW!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Best of Flowers Chalk Talk!

Stampin’ Up! Best of Flowers Chalk Talk!

Good Monday morning! I have a bright and cheery card for you today using the daisy flower from the Best of Flowers 25th Anniversary set, one of the stamps from Chalk Talk, and a greeting from A Dozen Thoughts!

Wish Big 1

Cardstock colors are Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Naturals White, and Whisper White. Ink colors are Daffodil Delight, Coastal Cabana, and Jet Black Stazon. The centers of the daisies are popped with color using a sponge dauber and Daffodil Delight ink! The "wish big" greeting was cut out with one of the Bitty Banners Framelits, then layered on a Daffodil Delight strip that was cut 1/8" wider then the greeting strip then the ends were banner-cut with Paper Snips.

Wish big 2

The inside greeting is the the June 25th Anniversary set, Best of Greetings. It was masked with a post-it note punched with the 1 1/4" Scallop Circle punch, then the daisy was stamped all round the edges of the mask with Daffodil Delight ink.

The bottom of the card was stamped with the miniature upsy-daisy stamp from Best of Flowers.

I'm really diggin' this card! So much so that I believe it may have to be one of my convention swaps!

What do you think? Would you like to receive this card in a swap?

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Yes, Mam’s! Shoebox Swap Card #2!

Stampin’ Up! Yes, Mam’s! Shoebox Swap Card #2!

Good morning! Today's sample was created by another of my dear friends and downline, Angela Henson!

Angela chose the Gingham Garden Washi Tape colors of Melon Mambo, Island Indigo, and Daffodil Delight for her cards' color palette, in addition to Mixed Bunch and Loving Thoughts stamps, the Blossom Punch, and the 1" Circle Punch!

Angela 1

On the inside I layered the Daffodil Delight ink over the Melon Mambo ink using two different Mixed Bunch stamps. I like the effect!

Angela 2

Here's a fun and easy idea to coordinate your envelope: just add strips of Gingham Garden Washi Tape to the flap! I love how easy it is to attach, because the tacky adhesive is already on the tape! Fun!

More Spring Swaps!

More Spring Swaps!

Deb McCahan used markers on the backside of "Fifth Avenue Floral" white embossed vellum for this "happy" card! This is really a WOW in person! Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist, and Pacific Point make a great spring combo!

Diane Tritz used the frame stamp from "Just Believe" on page 109 of the Big Catalog as her focal point for this cheery card. She added distressed flowers punched with the "Itty Bitty Shapes" punch pack, and mounted it all on a Whisper White "Finial Press" Textured Impressions background. She also used "Sunny Garden" Designer Series Paper behind the focal point.

Karen Kurz used scallop die-cut "Sweet Stitches" fabric from the Occasions Mini to create this flower, which is actually a detachable pin! This card would make a great birthday or Mother's Day card! The flower stem is from the "Sweetheart" stamp set on page 58 of the Big Catalog, the buttons along the bottom are from "Button, Button" in the Occasions Mini, and the button in the flower's middle is a "Sweet Stiches" Designer Big Button, also found in the Occasions Mini!

Another Petal Cone Die Project!

Another Petal Cone Die Project!

This project is one of my favorites, not mailable at all, but a fun graduation project! The Petal Cone Die was turned upside down, a bottom (actually a top) added, and then a card on top as the finishing touch! The "tassel", (which is not CASED but is my own brainstorm!)is actually 5/8" Daffodil Delight Satin Ribbon cut into three strips and braided. I tied off the end with two of the strips, then frayed all the ends to get the tassel-y look! You could tuck some money or a gift card in the base, or just attach it to your gift!

For the inside I used a "Teeny Tiny Wishes" phrase, (pg 157 in the Big Catalog) LOVE that set, it comes in SO handy for just about every occasion! I also love how the fonts are all diferent for the words, so much fun! "You're one of the GOOD ones!" is from "Smarty Pants" on page 152!
