Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day on Monday!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day on Monday!

Hey there! Today starts the final week of Christmas preparations. If it doesn't get done this week it won't happen, will it? I always have big plans to do all kinds of extra things while my family is visiting for the Christmas holidays, but in the end, it's being together and loving each other that matters the most, right?

I have more gift card holders to share with you today, so let's get started!

First, Kathy Johnson used the Hearts Come Home Bundle with Teeny Tiny Wishes to create her fold-out holder. She combined Night of Navy, Whisper White, and a bit of Silver Foil for a classic wintry look. The Night of Navy 1/2" Gingham Ribbon adds a homespun feel.

Stampin_up_hearts_come_home_carolpaynestamps1

Hometown Greetings Edgelits and the Garden Trellis Textured Impressions Embossing folder provide lots of fun elements. The gift card pops into the little slit in the center.

Stampin_up_hearts_come_home_carolpaynestamps3

Next, Deb McCahan used punch/big shot art to create this adorable singing angel for the front of her gift card holder. She cut vellum with a  Bold Butterfly framelit, then embossed with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Folder to create the angel wings. The bow was created with the Bow Builder Punch and the greeting from Jar of Love was framed with the Duet Banner Punch.

Stampin_up_jar_of_love_carolpaynestamps1

The angel is attached to a belly band that also serves as the closure.

Finally, Mary Lang really knocked it out of the ballpark with her creation using non-traditional Wild Wasabi, Berry Burst, and Whisper White. She added a Season of Glitz Mini Gift Bow above the Labels to Love greeting. I was skeptical about putting these adorably tiny bows on anything to mail, but although it seemed smashed when the swap envelope arrived, the bow popped back into shape pretty quick!

Mary is the master of multi-folds and multi-layers! She stamped images from Carols of Christmas and  Hang Your Stocking for a festive feel! "Happiness is coming to town!" is also from Hang Your Stocking.

Stampin_up_labels_to_love_carolpaynestamps2

The completely open gift card holder. She stamped a greeting from Christmas Quilt in the center and "tis the Season" from Christmas Pines on the gift card pocket. She added a tree cut with a Card Front Builder Die to finish off with flair.

Stampin’ Up! Seasonal Chums!

Stampin’ Up! Seasonal Chums!

Hey there! This morning I wanted to share these two OnStage Live swaps with you that my team member, Linda, received that were created with the Seasonal Chums set from the Holiday Catalog. Seasonal Chums is an adorable little set that has matching framelits.  It was a bundle that I identified early on that I would like to have, but unfortunately I've not yet ordered it. That happens sometimes.

This swap was created by Linda Flemming. She also used the Oh My Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Christmas Quilt Designer Series Paper, a Delicate White Doily, and Layering Circle Framelits. She added a sentiment from the timeless Teeny Tiny Wishes punched with the Classic Label Punch. Her finishing touch is a tiny rhinestone, colored with a Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends, for his Rudolph nose!

Stampin_up_seaonal_chums_carolpaynestamps3

The second Seasonal Chums creation did not have a creator's name on it, which is  shame because it is a really good one! The white layer is embossed with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing folder. Both the white layer and the Wild Wasabi card base were cut with a Santa's Sleigh thinlet. A piece of Window Sheet was adhered between the layers to create the window for the Seasonal Chums reindeer to be adhered in front.

On the back side of  window the back side of the reindeer can be seen peeking through!

Stampin’ Up! Happy Thanksgiving!

Stampin’ Up! Happy Thanksgiving!

Hey there! We are having our family Thanksgiving on Saturday, but whenever you are or are going to celebrate, I hope you have a wonderful time celebrating and giving thanks with your family and friends!

Today I have just one  super-special card to share with you, a punch-art  swap I received from Mary Lang. This card is a true work of art!

Stampin_up_tree_builder_carolpaynestamps1

Isn't this gorgeous? Mary perfectly combined four current punches to create  her fall scene: Starburst (sun), Pretty Label (clouds), Tree Builder (autumn trees) and Classic Label (greeting).

Mary started with a card base of Soft Suede, followed by a layer of Pumpkin Pie embossed with the Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Impressions Folder. She sponged the Whipser White layer with Marina Mist and Pear Pizzazz, then layered on all of the punched pieces to create a masterpiece! She wrapped a bit of Crushed Curry 3/8" Mini Chevron Ribbon and a bow tied from Crushed Curry Solid Baker's Twine for the perfect finishing touch!

Stampin_up_tree_builder_carolpaynestamps2

Everything on this card has been sponged, either with Soft Sued ink or the coordinating color that matches the card stock piece. Mary added shine with a Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush, and stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes with Soft Suede ink before punching with the Classic Label Punch.

Stampin_up_tree_builder_carolpaynestamps3

Mary kept the inside pretty clean-and-simple with just a sentiment from Count My Blessings and a single apple punched with the Tree Builder Punch.

Stampin Up! You’ve Got This, a Stampin’ Blends Sneak Peek!

Stampin Up! You’ve Got This, a Stampin’ Blends Sneak Peek!

Hey there! I needed a card to match a belated wedding gift garnished with a fall spray from Hobby Lobby, so I used a You've Got This stamp to match the one in the spray!

Stampin_up_you've_got_this_carolpaynestamps1

This card previews a sneak peek of the new Stampin' Blends alcohol markers, available to order tomorrow, November 1st!

Stampin_up_youve_got_this_carolpaynestamps2

I rubbed a Bermuda Bay ink pad on the negative side of the Seaside Textured Impressions Embossing Folder before embossing a piece of Bermuda Bay card stock. After embossing with the Big Shot, this gives the background a much richer look. I stamped the bloom from You've Got This with Momento Tuxedo Black ink on Shimmery White card stock before coloring with Light and Dark Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends Markers. I added some Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends to the center, Old Olive to the leaves and stem, and used the Stampin' Color Lifter to blend and soften the colors. Stampin' Blends make you look like a pro without the problems!

Stampin_up_youve_got_this_carolpaynestamps3

This present is for a couple who were married in July (we weren't able to attend the wedding), so I used this elegant greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes, punched with the Classic Label Punch. Anytime during your first year of marriage you are a newlywed, right?

Stampin_up_youve_got_this_carolpaynestamps4

I used 1/4" Copper Trim for my embellishment (shown here on an experimental card with Fun Foam) The Copper Trim is pretty tied in a neat bow, but it becomes gorgeous when you pull the fibers apart!

Stampin_up_youve_got_this_carolpaynestamps4

When you stretch the fibers you end up with this unique and fancy bow! I love it!

Stampin_up_youve_got_this_carolpaynestamps5

Inside I used a sentiment from the Rose Wonder set. Again, this sentiment is appropriate for a wedding gift any time in the first year, or even an anniversary!

Stampin_up_youve_got_this_carolpaynestamps5

I colored the inside bloom with my Stampin' Blends markers. As a Stampin' Up! demonstrator I get to pre-order new products to play with them before customers can order them. We've had alcohol markers before, but there were manufacturing problems that necessitated a recall. After playing with them a bit, I think they've got all of the kinks worked out and I love them!

Stampin’ Up! CCREW917TECH Pocketful of Polished Stone!

Stampin’ Up! CCREW917TECH Pocketful of Polished Stone!

Hey there! Today I'm sharing another project from the Creative Crew challenges on Splitcoaststampers. We were asked take the same technique we used for our card and turn it into a scrapbook page, framed art, or 3-D project. I used the Pocket Framelits with the Burlap background and the Polished Stone technique to create this adorable treat pocket!

Stampin_up_pocketful_of_sunshine_thanksgiving_carolpaynestamps1

Again, I'm loving the look of Burlap stamped with Sahara Sand ink on Sahara Sand card stock! Adding the pocket details with the Pocketful of Sunshine stamp set, then cutting with the Pocket Framelits is just the best!

The leaves were created with the Polished Stone technique. You can catch the link to this tutorial on Splitcoaststampers here.

I cut the leaves with the smaller leaf from the Seasonal Layers Thinlets after stamping the Polished Stone piece with a Colorful Seasons leaf image.

Stampin_up_colorful_seasons_polished_stone_carolpaynestamps1

A Gold Faceted Gem makes the perfect center for a Touches of Nature Element. I made a teeny tiny banner to stamp "happy thanksgiving" from Teeny Tiny wishes.

Stampin_up_pocketful_of_sunshine_thanksgiving_carolpaynestamps2

To create the pocket, cut two pocket fronts with flaps using the Pocket Framelit:

Stampin_up_pocketful_of_sunshine_burlap_carolpaynestamps1

Adhere the 3/4" x 7 1/2", scored at 2 1/4", 3 3/4" and 5 1/4". Fold on the scored lines, then add Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the pocket flaps to adhere to the edges of the folded strip.

Stampin_up_pocketful_of_sunshine_carolpaynestamps1

Final touch is the Jute Twine handle added to the sides, tied through holes punched with the 1/8" Circle Handheld punch. I tied a double knot in the ends to secure.

Stampin’ Up! Carols of Christmas!

Stampin’ Up! Carols of Christmas!

Hey there! The Carols of Christmas Holiday Catalog Sneak Peek is exclusive for  Demonstrators this month, but next month YOU can order it too!

I LOVE the images in the Carols of Christmas set, and having the Card Front Builder Framelits to coordinate is just so much sweeter! I chose to use Basic Black, Powder Pink, Whisper White and Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer to create my first card:

Stampin_up_carols_of_christmas_carolpaynestamps1

I cut the Basic Black layer with the moon & stars card front builder thinlet before embossing with the Woodland folder. I sponged the raised tree trunks and branches with White Craft ink.

Stampin_up_carols_of_christmas_carolpaynestamps2

I stamped "PEACE ON EARTH" with Basic Black Archival ink on Powder Pink, quickly sprinkled with Clear Embossing Powder, and heat set. I then cut it with the largest Stitched Shapes Framelits circle.

Stampin_up_carols_of_christmas_carolpaynestamps3

The trees are cut from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper. The deer is also embossed with black ink and clear powder, then cut with a coordinating Card Front Builder Thinlet.

Stampin_up_carols_of_christmas_carolpaynestamps5

There are only two bold sentiments in Carols of Christmas, so I used "sending wishes your way" from Butterfly Basics, and "merry christmas" from Teeny Tiny Wishes inside the card. I used the negative image cut with the tree die to sponge Powder Pink for a background.
