Stampin’ Up! Papillion Potpourri!

Stampin’ Up! Papillion Potpourri!

Good morning! It's Monday and my first day back taking care of Liam! I'm really looking forward to it, he's such a fun little guy!

Today's card is another swap from convention by Andrea MacDonald. Andrea combined the Lattice Bigz Die, Papillion Potpourri, and the Bitty Butterfly punch to create this stunning card!

Cardstock is Whisper White, Basic Black, and Daffodil Delight. Ink is Jet Black StazOn. A bit of Daffodil Delight Polka Dot Parade Designer Paper and Daffodil Delight 1/2" Seam Binding add just the perfect touch of class to this one!

This card has no greeting, which is card sacrilidge as far as I am concerned (I like for all of my cards to "speak" to me, to invite me to open them!). In this card's defence, however, it could have just about any greeting, except for may "happy father's day" or "merry christmas", and this card would fit the bill!

That's all for now. If you remember from last school year, I go to Liam's house, so I need to get going. I have to drive by another grade school on my way to his house, and if the lights are flashing I have to drive REALLY SLOW!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Spring Sampler Sunburst Thank You!

Stampin’ Up! Spring Sampler Sunburst Thank You!

I'm back with a second post for today! Now that I've drawn the name for the froggies-on-the-lilypad challenge, I have a card for you!

I found my inspiration for this card by Erica Cerwin on the Stampin' Up! blog. I changed the presentation from landscape to portrait, and used retiring Melon Mambo Scallop Dotted Ribbon. I cut out the focal image from Spring Sampler & stamped with Jet Black Stazon with a Labels Collection Framelit, and added a Melon Mambo layer cut with an Ovals Collection Framelit:

Spring 1

The "thank you" if from the soon-to-be-retired Hostess Set, Wacky Wishes!

Patterns from three different designer papers: Polka Dot Parade, Summer Smooches, and Sunshine & Sprinkles were cut into pieces 2" x 3", then cut diagonally with the Paper Trimmer:

Spring 3

You end up with six right-angled triangles that you attach  your card front like this:

Spring 5

After you have them all attached you then turn the card over and trim off the excess that extends over the edge with your Paper Snips.

And here's the inside of the card with the verse from From the Heart:

Spring 2

That's all for today! I'm off in a few minutes to spend the afternoon with Liam! This is our last week with him, school is out for the summer next week!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!
