Stampin’ Up! Sunshine Wishes Early Birthday Card!

Stampin’ Up! Sunshine Wishes Early Birthday Card!

Hey there! It's been raining cats and dogs here for the past two days, but my day brightened a lot yesterday when I received an early (my birthday is on the 24th) birthday card from my dear friend, Becky. Becky is also a demonstrator on my team, so of course she hand-stamped her card  using Sunshine Wishes Thinlets!

These pics are kind of dark. I like to take them outside before the sunset, but everything here is just drenched!

Stampin_up_sunshine_wishes_carolpaynestamps2

I love Becky's  color combo of Dapper Denim, Daffodil Delight, Soft Sky, and Whisper White! Becky embossed the Soft Sky layer with the Petal Burst folder.

I love the butterflies she created with the thinlets and rhinestones!

Becky complemented the "wishes", stamped with Endless Birthday Wishes, with a bit of Dapper Denim 3/8" Ruched Ribbon.

Inside she used one of my favorite sentiments from Birthday Blooms. She added a strip of Daffodil Delight from the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack for more pretty flowers!

I'm thankful for my friend, Becky, and delighted with my early birthday card!

All of the supplies Becky used are available to order from my online store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Stampin’ Up! Number of Years for the 4th of July!

Hey there! Just a quick post this morning, I wanted to share with you this swap from Janice Urke that is perfect for today. Happy 4th of July!

Stampin_up_number_of_years_carolpaynestamps1

Janice used the new Swirly Scribbles Thinlets dies to cut the Gold Glimmer stripes, and the Large Numbers Thinlets to cut the Red Glimmer "4".

"happy" is from Endless Birthday Wishes, "TH" is from Number of Years, both stamped with White Craft ink. The sequin stars are from the Brights Sequins Assortment Pack.

Hope you have a fun day ahead of you. We were hoping for a picnic, but it has rained almost 3 inches here in the last 24 hours, after not raining for almost a month, so it's too soggy.

Stampin’ Up! Pretty Petals

Stampin’ Up! Pretty Petals

Hey there! Today I have the second of the three cards I created a few days ago using the Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack!

Stampin_up_badges_and_banners_carolpaynestamps1 - Copy

I used a sentiment from the new catalog Badges & Banners set for my greeting!

Stampin_up_badges_and_banner_carolpaynestamps2 - Copy

After stamping the greeting with Archival Basic Black ink, I quickly sprinkled Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder and heated with my Heat Tool. I stamped the same image on Basic Black, then cut both out with Paper Snips (when the new catalog starts on June 1st there is a Best Badge punch that will be bundled with the Badges & Banners set). I cut the black badge in half, then added it to the back of the sentiment badge, leaving about an 1/8 of an inch open in the middle so the black badge peeks out above and below the sentiment.

Stampin_up_badges_and_banners4 - Copy

Inside I stamped "happy" from Endless Birthday Wishes and "Birthday" from Marquee Messages. I also added Calypso Coral tiny blossoms and Old Olive leaves, both from the new Love & Affection set.

Here are the supplies you can order right now from my online store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Stampin’ Up! Marquee Messages Shaker Card!

Stampin’ Up! Marquee Messages Shaker Card!

Hey there! Last night I finally created my final card for the May Online Class using Marquee Messages. The new catalog also has  cool new dimensional foam strips, perfect for creating shaker cards, so I made today's card into a shaker:

Stampin_up_marquee_messages_shaker_carolpaynestamps1 - Copy

Versatile for a girl or a boy, I used Pacific Point, Real Red, and Whisper White. I embossed the white with the Lucky Stars folder, then heat-embossed the marquee image on both Real Red and Pacific Point with white powder. I stamped the silver sparkles on the back side of  Silver Glimmer paper, cut them out, peeled off the slick backing, then added with glue dots.

Stampin_up_marquee_messages_shaker_carolpaynestamps2 - Copy

Oops! I just realized from the above picture the window sheet used for the top of the shaker is peeking out from the outside edge of the Real Red layer! I will fix that with just a snip or two of my scissors!

Some shakers have the greeting stamped inside the shaker behind the shaker "thingys", but after snipping the center of the Real Red marquee there wasn't much room left so I stamped "YOU ARE" on top of the window sheet with Staz-On ink.

Stampin_up_marquee_messages_shaker_carolpaynestamps3 - Copy

I punched Silver Glimmer Paper with the Medium Star Punch, adding to my shaker with sequins from both the Brights and Metallic Sequin Assortments.

Stampin_up_foam_adhesive_strips - Copy

Here are the new foam strips in action! They come in long strips to lay along the edge of your shaker window, cutting them the length needed. Remove the top protective strip and they are ready to adhere to the card!

Stampin_up_marquee_messages_shaker_carolpaynestamps4 - Copy

Inside I only added one word, "happy" from Endless Birthday Wishes, to the Marquee Messages words. I added a little bit of Clear Wink of Stella and called it done!

Again, Marquee Messages and the foam strips won't be available to order until June 1st, but you can order the rest of these supplies in my online store right now: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day!

Hey there! Yesterday was a crazy busy day for me. I never got time to type my blog post, and I'm sorry about that. I will share the final card from the class with you tomorrow, so please come back again!

Today is Sunday Swap Day, and I think you will enjoy today's projects!

First, Raedean Shibata combined Stars Framelits, Lucky Stars Textured Impressions folder, Endless Birthday Wishes stamps, and a couple of the Cherry on Top Washi tapes:

Stampin_up_endless_birthday_wishes

Love her "shooting star" look! The Cucumber Crush/Crushed Curry/Whisper White color combo makes it very versatile. It would work for just about anyone!

Next, Lorraine Duran used the Get Well Soup single stamp with the Watercolor Wash background to create this cute little gift pouch:

Stampin_up_get_well_soup

Inside she tucked a single Lipton Cup-a-Soup packet. Her colors of Hello Honey, So Saffron, and Delightful Dijon are very "chicken-soupy"!

Kim Allen used No Bones About It with Cherry on Top washi tape for her cute little birthday card. Who doesn't love a dinosaur with his skeleton showing through?

Stampin’ Up! Pretty Petals Birthday Candles!

Stampin’ Up! Pretty Petals Birthday Candles!

Hey there! I have another Birthday Card Buffet card for you today, created with the Pretty Petals Designer Paper Stack and the Endless Birthday Wishes set:

Stampin_up_pretty_petals_candles_1 - Copy

I used the colors from the Pretty Petals paper to rule the card construction: Calypso Coral, Basic Black, Mossy Meadow (instead of Old Olive), and Very Vanilla.

Stampin_up_pretty_petals_candles_2 - Copy

After I added the 1/2" x 2" candles to the Very Vanilla circle, I trimmed the ends even with the curve of the circle, then embossed it all with the Decorative Dots folder.

I punched Gold Glimmer Paper with the wing of the Bird Builder Punch for the "flames", and tied a piece of Watermelon Wonder 1" Dotted Lace Trim. The Watermelon Wonder trim coordinates perfectly with Calypso Coral! yay!

Stampin_up_pretty_petals_candles_3 - Copy

I added a tiny Gold Glimmer heart punched with the Confetti Hearts Border Punch to the "birthday girl" greeting from Endless Birthday Wishes.

Stampin_up_pretty_petals_candles_4 - Copy

I attached a bunch of the words from Endless Birthday Wishes to Clear Block "E" so I could stamp them all at the same time with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I added more Gold Glimmer Confetti Hearts randomly with the new Fine Tip Glue in the Holiday Catalog, available September 1st.

Here's the supply list for today's card. You can order everything you need from my online store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net
