Stampin’ Up! New Annual Catalog Launched!

Hey there! Welcome to my refreshed blog! I've been away from regular blogging for more than a year (maybe almost two? I'm afraid to look) but in spite of that several of you have still been checking on me and ordering from me, and for that I am grateful.

LOTS of stuff, good and bad, has been happening in my life during this time, including my youngest daughter and her family of 9 (she and her hubby, plus 7 kiddos) lived with us for almost a year and a half. The experience was both extremely good, (I loved spending that much time with my grandchildren!) but while not bad, it was stressful at times. I was just too distracted to stamp much, let alone blog.

The family has been moved into their newly-built home since September, and after a busy holiday season and babysitting schedule for some of my additional grandchildren, I am finally ready to get back to stamping more and sharing with you. I had my 19 year-old granddaughter, Ava, create my blog refresh, and I am excited to share it and the 2025/26 New Annual Catalog with you!

By now most of you who have been ordering from me during the past year should have received your copy. Stampin' Up! mails them for me, but they do use Bulk Rate, so I am aware some of you are still looking for yours in your mailbox. You can also comment below or email me with your "MUST HAVES ASAP" from the catalog. I can help you set up your online account in my store if you don't have one already. When you do go to place your order, be sure to click the "Get Started" box that will come up when you first enter your account. Stampin' Up! recently changed their Rewards Program from "Host Rewards" to "Rewards for Everyone". This means anytime your order is at least $20 you will start earning Rewards in the amount of 10%. This card is pretty easy. I used both dry embossing with the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine as well as heat embossing using Versamark, Basics Embossing Powder, and the Heat Tool.

I used the Beautiful Gallery Suite Collection found on pages 52-57 of the New Annual Catalog. Have you seen this beautiful suite?

Stampin’ Up! Resurrection Sunday Retiring Cards!

Hey there and Happy Resurrection Sunday! I'm so thankful that my Lord & Savior, Jesus, was willing to die on the cross for my sins, and even more thankful that he conquered death and the grave when he came back to life on this day all those years ago!

I scrolled through my blog posts from the past year to find cards created with retiring stamps, dies, designer papers, and embellishments just so I can share a few of them with you to remind you of what's going away before I start creating with new supplies!

First, I created this card with retiring Butterfly Kisses 6 x 6 designer ( discounted 20% on the Last Chance List = $9.60 instead of $12) I also used

retiring Brilliant Wings dies (discounted 60% on the Last Chance List = $17.60 instead of $44.00)

Using the same retiring Butterfly Kisses designer paper I created this card using the Sending Smiles bundle (which is carrying over to the new Annual Catalog but will no longer be bundled for the 10% savings). I also embossed the designer paper strips with the Stitched Greenery Die, which is discounted 40$ = $19.20 instead of $32)

I used the retiring Sunny Splash stamp set to create this fun card. The Cascading Ruffles embossing folder I used is carrying over to the new Annual Catalog!

Finally for today, I used the retiring Lovely You stamp set with a completely different color palette from the retiring Butterfly Kisses 6 x 6 Designer paper. This card is my favorite from this group!

Stampin’ Up! Nested Friends!

Hey there! I am very happy to be back today to share with you a card I created with the Nested Friends Bundle of stamps and dies:

I adhered a strip of designer series paper to a layer of Pear Pizzazz card stock, then embossed with the Cane Weave 3D embossing folder for the background of the card. The nest layers is cut from Crumb Cake and Kraft 6 x 6 card stock, accented by Pear Pizzazz leaves. All of the die cuts are created with the Nested Friends dies. I splattered the eggs, cut from Basic White card stock, with Tahitian Tide ink flicked from a Tahitian Tide Stampin' Write Marker.

I cut the Tahitian Tide-stamped greeting, from the Nested Friends stamp set, with a Sending die.

Inside images are also all from Nested Friends. This stamp set is not on the Last Chance List, but is also not shown in the new Annual Catalog. It will be available in my online store after the new catalog goes live on May 2nd.

Stampin’ Up! Easter Bunny Bundle!

Hey there! Today I have a little Kraft Note Card I embellished with the Easter Bunny Bundle, Cane Weave 3D embossing folder, and the Petal Park Builder Punch!

I embossed a layer of Blushing Bride card stock with the Cane Weave 3D embossing folder, then used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere to the front of the Kraft Note Card.

After cutting a circle from the Vellum Basics Specialty Paper with a Stylish Shapes Die, I adhered the punched bunny to the front side, then turned the circle over and used the see-through-ness of the vellum as my guide to place the dimensionals on the back so I can adhere it to the Blushing Bride layer.

I tied a bit of Soft Succulent 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon into a bow and adhered to the bunny with a few dots of liquid glue.

I stamped "Hi" from the Easter Bunny set with Soft Succulent ink, then punched with the Petal Park Builder Punch. I adhered to the lower right corner of the card front with liquid glue, then added three Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels.

Inside I stamped a sentiment from the Easter Bunny stamp set with Soft Succulent ink. I stamped the bunny and butterfly images from the same set with Blushing Bride ink.

Stampin’ Up! Seaside Bay Beginner Card!

Hey there! My timing is still off, but at least I'm getting a post out there for today!

The card I want to share with you today is the beginner version with the Seaside Bay stamp set. When I was thinking of how I wanted to make my three cards to share with my team (and with you!) I planned to stamp directly on the By the Bay 6" x 6" Designer Paper, which I received in my first pre-order back in early November. However, I couldn't find the paper anywhere, so I decided to just use the stamps from the set along with the Oceanfront stamp set to create my cards, which is more of a beginner technique anyway!

I started with a Very Vanilla Thick Card Stock base, 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4". I used the "portrait" presentation as shown. I then did my stamping on a 4" x 5 1/4" layer of regular (thinner) Very Vanilla. I stamped Oceanfront images with Pale Papaya, Balmy Blue, and Crumb Cake ink to look like the ocean, sunrise, and sand. I stamped the sandpiper (from Seaside Bay) with Crumb Cake ink, then stamped him again over the first stamping with Soft Suede ink because he was too pale. I didn't get the second stamping exactly over the first, but I decided I liked it that way because these little birds never stay still for long and the "blur" looks like he is moving. I stamped the sea grass (from Oceanfront) with Pear Pizzazz ink. I stamped the sand image from Seaside Bay all around the outside edge of the layer.

"Heartfelt Sympathy", stamped with Soft Suede, is also found in the Seaside Bay set.

"thinking of you" is from the Season of Chic stamp set. The baby sandpipers are stamped with Crumb Cake.

Stampin’ Up! Dainty Delight Sneak Peek!

Hey there! I decided after my battle with Influenza A in December and the subsequent stress and chaos of trying to finish getting ready for our family Christmas that I would take off the rest of the month to rest and relax with my family. My kids and their families have a tradition of coming to my house at least part of almost every day between Christmas and New Years to play games and just hang out, and this year was no exception!

I was able to visit with everyone and cuddle with the littlest grand-babies, Atreyu (almost 6 months) and Wesley (one month). I just decided to give myself a stay-cation and I'm glad I did!

But now it's January 2nd and time to get back into a routine. I plan to get up earlier and go to bed a "little" earlier too. It's not always easy because I'm a night owl by nature and get into my "creative groove" at about 9 pm.!

The project I have to share with you today I created back at the beginning of December for a swap I participated in. You will get to see the swaps over the next few Sundays, but today's project/card is created with new products from the January/April 2023 Mini Catalog. This catalog goes live on Thursday, January 5th, so you don't have too long to wait to start ordering. As usual, the beginning date of the Mini Catalog coordinates with the beginning of Sale-a-bration 2023, which lasts through February 28. This will be the only Sale-a-bration period in 2023. The past two years Stampin' Up! has had a second Sale-a-bration in the summer, but this year they are opting to run individual monthly specials during this period instead of another SAB. I will of course be posting the details about those specials as soon as I get the details from Stampin' Up!

My project today is an easel-calendar card created with the Dainty Delight Bundle of stamps and dies (both with the same title, finally!)Thank you Stampin' Up! for making it easier to keep the stamps and their matching dies straight!) found on page 55 of the January/April 2023 Mini and Dainty Flowers 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper found on page 6 of the Sale-a-bration Brochure. The Dainty Flowers Designer Paper can be yours as your free choice when you order at least $50 starting on January 5th!

I get my calendars from www.vippies.com. They come in increments of 25-100. I usually order at least 100, because the more you buy they cheaper they are!

I used "the best is yet of come", found in the Dainty Delight stamp set, to create the easel "stop" so it can stand up by itself. I cut the phrase with a Stylish Shapes die, and mounted it on a layer of Fresh Freesia cut with another Stylish Shapes die. I will put the clickable list of the supplies I used with the links to my online store at the bottom of my post.

I used two patterns of the Dainty Flowers Designer Paper. It has been photographed by Stampin' Up! to give the look of texture, even though the paper itself is not. I cut the flowers and the stems with Dainty Delight Dies, and added Flat Adhesive-backed Pearls, another new product coming on January 5th!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day on Tuesday October 4 AND Free Shipping Day!

Hey there! I was so busy last week and over the weekend there was absolutely no time to post! Today is free shipping day on all orders of at least $75 or more from Stampin' Up!, so today should be busy too! I have two of my granddaughters with me today as well. Fiona is here for two days and nights in a row and Cyndal is here today so I can take her to Tuesday School this morning for her mommy so my son Ben can continue to borrow their extra car until he finds one to replace the one that was wrecked when he hit a deer.

Before I share a few swap cards with you, I need to remind you that today is Free Shipping Day on all orders of $75 or more from Stampin' Up!

The first card I want to share with you today was created by Jan Farring with the Christmas Barn Bundle and Texture Chic Specialty Designer Paper. She used the Bay Window Fold too!

I love how detailed the barn image is. It really doesn't need any color added!

She used a sentiment from the Celebrating You stamp set, stamped with Soft Suede and cut out with a Stitched Rectangles Die.

This swap created with the Christmas Scottie Bundle and Tahitian Tide, Basic Black and Basic White. The background was embossed with one of the two Eucalyptus 3D embossing folders. I currently have misplaced this card so I cannot tell you who the creator is, but as soon as I find it I will add the name here!

Finally, I really love this z-fold card created with the Forever Friendship stamp set! Again, I'm not sure where it is located at my home right now so I can't tell you the creator's name.

The touches are lovely, with the Real Red stamped "thank you's" cut out and added over the sheet of paper in the typewriter and the bit of black & white gingham ribbon!

The inside sentiment is also from Forever Friendship.

Stampin’ Up! Apple Harvest is a Bundle!

Hey there! Just a quick post this morning, as I am out the door in a few (with Fiona in tow) to spend some time today with my oldest daughter, Jessica, on her birthday! She is the baby girl who made me a momma, and I can't wait to spend some time with her! She is a busy wife, mother of 4, and an awesome photographer who especially loves to photograph newborns and babies. With her busy schedule and mine, it's hard to squeeze in a few hours together, but somehow we manage to do it around her birthday and mine! We are going antiquing for a bit and then lunch at one of her favorite restaurants, O Charley's!

I received this card as a swap a while back, and wanted to share it with you before the Apple Bundle expires on Friday. The Apple Harvest stamp set will still be available in the July/December Mini Catalog, but the Apple Blossom dies will not!

I would love to tell you who made this card, but currently it is misplaced! As soon as it turns up I will add the creator's name to this post!

It's sort of a z-fold with a bit of a joy fold added in!

Stampin’ Up! Texture Chic “W” Card!

Hey there! Today I have another card for you, created with the Texture Chic Collection, this time my Jenna Roby! Jenna created a "w-fold" fun-fold card! I'm excited to try this fold for myself! Jenna used a pretty spring-like pattern from the Texture Chic Specialty paper for her background, cut with a Stitched Rectangle die and layered on a Mango Melody card base. She added a die-cut from the Chic dies out of Distressed Gold Specialty paper. Over that she added the greeting layer and it's mat, cut with Stitched Rectangle dies.

Inside is the "w" magic! While this card looks difficult, the secret is in the folding of the 1" x 11" strip of Petal Pink she used to adhere the squares.

Jenna went with a seasonal theme, cutting the spring, summer, fall, and winter images directly from the Texture Chic Specialty paper. She layered them on squares cut with Stylish Shapes dies.

You could practically make this card without any stamping, but what would be the fun in that?

Stampin’ Up! Soft Seedlings!

Hey there! Today I have a fall-ish card I created with the Soft Seedlings stamp set! I love fall card making! My favorite colors are the dark rich colors of fall, and I love creating cards with them. The colors I used today are Soft Suede, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, and Very Vanilla.

I used a super-easy technique to combine Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze on the leaves. I stamped the leaf and seeds with Pumpkin Pie, then dragged the Cajun Craze ink pad directly on the inked stamp before stamping on the Very Vanilla layer.

I accented the leaf and the greeting with Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels. I added 1/2" x 5 1/4" strips of Metallic & Shimmer 6 x 6" Specialty paper to the top & bottom of the vanilla strip before adding to the card front with dimensionals.

Inside I breathed on the leaf stamp to re-moisten the leftover ink to stamp in the opposite corners. The Cajun Craze stamped sentiment is also from Soft Seedlings.

I created a second version with a design added to the right side with one of the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks and a Blending Brush with Pumpkin Pie ink.

I think I probably should have used a lighter touch with my Blending Brush so the "hello" would show up a little more. I'll remember that next time I use the masks over a greeting.

It's hard to see in the pictures, but I embossed a 4" x 5 1/4" layer of Soft Suede with the Leaf Fall 3D embossing folder for both cards. One card I left the embossed layer as it came out of the folder . . .

and the other card I used the Blending Brush to add Pumpkin Pie ink to make the raised design show up better. Can you tell which card is which? Which one do you prefer?
