Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day I’m Back In the USA!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day I’m Back In the USA!

Hey there! So good to be back on native soil! Troy and I had a blast on our trip, and we are actually still in the Ft Lauderdale airport waiting for the first leg of our flight (we change planes in Atlanta before flying home to St Louis). When I discovered we had internet access I realized I had time to do a quick post for you!

Today's swaps I just received from the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop group I'm a part of. Be sure to check back here on the 15th for our next hop, which is themed "I Do!" You will be able to "hop" through 12 blogs, all showing you new papercrafting ideas just in time for the wedding season!

First, France Martin created this fun-fold card using the Off the Grid stamp set (retired and sold out!), Bitty Butterfly and Elegant Butterfly punches, and a greeting from the Lots of Thanks stamp set:

Stampin_up_lots_of_thanks_france_martin

I don't recall at the moment what this fun-fold is called, but I'm going to find out and do a video for you soon to show you how to do it.

Next, Judy Garza used the Swallowtail single stamp to create this black-and-white beauty!

Stampin_up_swallowtail_judy_garza

The greeting is from Loving Thoughts, another retiring set that is currently only still available in wood-mount.

Finally, Laura Milligan covered a notepad with new Moonlight Designer Paper and stamped a message with the new stamp set we received at the 2014 New Catalog Premiere, Work of Art:

Love it!

Hope you are having a good Mother's Day. Whether you are a mother or not, we all have (or have had) a Mom, so there is much to be thankful for.

That's all for now. I will be back tomorrow with more to share. Until then, have a Stampingrox! day!

Here's short supply lists for the swaps that the products are currently available for. (Work of Art and Moonlight Designer Paper for Laura's project will not be available until the new catalog starts on June 2nd)

Stampin’Up! Backyard Basics Faux Silk!

Stampin’Up! Backyard Basics Faux Silk!

Hey there! I had a fun day today! One of my downline, Joyce, has started a second direct-selling business, Origami Owl, and she had her Open House to get started today. Fortunately  I had time to go, so I did! I had heard about Orgami Owl for awhile, but had never actually been to a party, so I was naturally curious. Pretty stuff!

I hope you will consider the card I have for you to be "pretty stuff":

Stampin_up_backyard_basics_1 - Copy

What do you think? I think it is "pretty stuff"! I stamped the iris from Backyard Basics on tissue paper, crumpled the paper into a ball, gently but not completely smoothed it back out, then adhered the tisuue to a layer of Whisper White cardstock with  a Stampin' Up! Glue Stick. I wrapped the tissue around to the back side of the cardstock and adhered with more Glue Stick.

Stampin_up_backyard_basics_1 - Copy - Copy

The result (although I must apologize for the blurry picture!) is a slightly creased and rumpled look, reminiscent of silk! I added strips of Rhinestones again. It's amazing how I have hoarded these for a long time, and now suddenly I've used them on two cards in a row! I added one single rhinestone to the center of the Vintage Faceted Button too!

Stampin_up_backyard_basics_2 - Copy

Inside I stamped the butterfly from the same set directly on the Whisper White layer, stamping off on scrap paper beforehand so it would have a lighter look. I did a "faux silk" butterfly by stamping on the tissue, crumpling, unfolding, glueing to cardstock, then cutting it out with the butterfly Backyard Basics framelit!

That's all for now. The supply list for today's creation is shown below. Clicking on any image will take you to my Online Store where you can shop and order!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Yes, Mam’s! Shoebox Swap Card #2!

Stampin’ Up! Yes, Mam’s! Shoebox Swap Card #2!

Good morning! Today's sample was created by another of my dear friends and downline, Angela Henson!

Angela chose the Gingham Garden Washi Tape colors of Melon Mambo, Island Indigo, and Daffodil Delight for her cards' color palette, in addition to Mixed Bunch and Loving Thoughts stamps, the Blossom Punch, and the 1" Circle Punch!

Angela 1

On the inside I layered the Daffodil Delight ink over the Melon Mambo ink using two different Mixed Bunch stamps. I like the effect!

Angela 2

Here's a fun and easy idea to coordinate your envelope: just add strips of Gingham Garden Washi Tape to the flap! I love how easy it is to attach, because the tacky adhesive is already on the tape! Fun!

Angela 3

That's all for now! Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Multi-Purpose Adhesive Sheets!

Stampin’ Up! Multi-Purpose Adhesive Sheets!

Well, it seem like I'm doing late night postings for now! Jessica, Alisa, and I worked on the decorations for Kimberly's baby shower today, and we got a lot of things worked out and planned, and some things even finished, so we think one more day and we will be done!

This weekend a few of my downline and I are going to Champaign, IL, for a "Spring Into Stamping" event hosted by Kim Peck and Meg Loven. We have attended this event a few other years and it is always enjoyable! This year I was invited to present a 10-15 minute Technique demonstration "on stage", so I am really  excited and nervous at the same time! I have chosen to demonstrate the "Dazzling Diamond Dust" technique with the Multi-Purpose Adhesive Sheets, but have been playing around with a few other uses of the product. Here is a new card I just made tonight with the Dazzling Diamond Dust Technique, Beau Chateau Designer Paper, Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions Folder, and "Loving Thoughts" stamp set:

So what do you think? The photography is kind of crummy because I didn't take the time to get out my photo tent to take the pictures, but you get the idea!

I think it's time for me to go to bed, I've run out of things to say tonight!

Until tomorrow, have a "Stampingrox!" Day!
