Stampin’ Up! Flower Shop Bundle!

Stampin’ Up! Flower Shop Bundle!

Good morning! Hope you are enjoying a long July 4th weekend! Today I want to share with you another card we will be making at my SWOW class next weekend using the Flower Shop Bundle, Dictionary Background stamp, the My Paper Pumpkin Try It Kit, and the Four You stamp set!

The Flower Shop Bundle listed on page 95 is one of several bundles Stampin' Up! is featuring in the New Catalog this year. Stamps are bundled with a coordinating punch or framelits to give the stamper a 15% discount when they buy the two products together! Look for the blue-framed bundles to get the item code and prices for a Wood-Mount Bundle or a Clear-Mount Bundle!

Flower shop 1

The colors are Sahara Sand, Blushing Bride, Whisper White, and Perfect Plum. I found my color combo by using the NEW Color Coach! I've never really been a Color Coach fan, but after fooling around with this one a bit, I think I'm going to be using it more and more all the time! I LOVE these colors together!

Sahara Sand
Blushing bride
Perfect Plum

I made the flower centers with the Simply Pressed Clay and the "blossom" mold from the Buttons & Blossoms Simply Pressed Clay Molds. After pressing a little ball of the clay into the mold I popped it into the freezer for about 10-30 minutes (depending on how long it took me to remember to take it out, lol!), then popped the blossom out of the mold. After allowing it to air-dry for about 24 hours, I first spritzed them with a mixture of 91% rubbing alcohol and reinker, allowed that to dry for a few minutes, then used a Sponge Dauber to sponge on additional ink. They were then attached to the flower with a Glue Dot. The leaves are Pear Pizzazz and were punched with the Bird Builder Punch.

Flower shop 3

Inside I stamped a phrase from Really Good Greetings on page 38, then added another leaf branch and a couple of tiny flowers punched with the 4-petal flower punch in the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack. I used my White Gel Pen for the flower centers.

Well, that's all for today!  If you want to make this card, you can either visit my Online Store by clicking on the "Shop Now" button on the upper left side of this blog or RSVP to come to the SWOW class next weekend on the 12th or the 13th!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope the rest of your day Stampingrox!

Stampin’ Up! Best of Brides & Babies!

Stampin’ Up! Best of Brides & Babies!

Good morning! Today I have fun assignment! I'm picking up my granddaughter, Maddie Kate, from Camp Hope this morning to take her to her Cheerleading Practice! Her mom, Jessica, is a counselor at Camp Hope this week (it's Ava's first year as a camper; she is super-duper excited!), so she asked me to do the honors for her so she could stay at camp. This is 3rd/4th grade week, so the kids are pretty young and need alot more attention than other weeks (at this age they have to be directed to do just about everything!), so it's important she stay close to her room of little girls.

So YAY! I'm looking forward to spending a little time with MK today!

Today I'm sharing a "cute" little card using the Best of Brides & Babies 25th Anniversary set! The images in all of the "Best of" sets are miniatures of the originals, so sometimes they are actually easier to use than ever before!

Cute 1

I CASED this card from somewhere, if you know, please let me know so I can give proper credit, will you?

Crisp Cantaloupe, Basic Black, & Whisper White give this card a feminine but bold look! It's hard to see in the picture, but I sponged some Illuminate Glimmer ink on the Crisp Cantaloupe Deco Label around the "cute" phrase to give it just a little bit more pop, and the onesie was stamped on Crisp Cantaloupe with Jet Black StazOn, then cut out to paper-piece. The tiny little heart on the onesie was highlighted with a White Gel pen.

Cute 2
Inside the teddy bears stamp from Best of Brides & Babies was used along the bottom, along with the words from One in a Million. A Small Heart punched from Crisp Cantaloupe was layered with a Basic Black heart punched with the Owl Builder punch and topped off with a Basic Jewel Pearl.

Well, that's all for now, I'm off to go pick up Maddie Kate! It should be a fun morning!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Best of Flowers Chalk Talk!

Stampin’ Up! Best of Flowers Chalk Talk!

Good Monday morning! I have a bright and cheery card for you today using the daisy flower from the Best of Flowers 25th Anniversary set, one of the stamps from Chalk Talk, and a greeting from A Dozen Thoughts!

Wish Big 1

Cardstock colors are Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Naturals White, and Whisper White. Ink colors are Daffodil Delight, Coastal Cabana, and Jet Black Stazon. The centers of the daisies are popped with color using a sponge dauber and Daffodil Delight ink! The "wish big" greeting was cut out with one of the Bitty Banners Framelits, then layered on a Daffodil Delight strip that was cut 1/8" wider then the greeting strip then the ends were banner-cut with Paper Snips.

Wish big 2

The inside greeting is the the June 25th Anniversary set, Best of Greetings. It was masked with a post-it note punched with the 1 1/4" Scallop Circle punch, then the daisy was stamped all round the edges of the mask with Daffodil Delight ink.

The bottom of the card was stamped with the miniature upsy-daisy stamp from Best of Flowers.

I'm really diggin' this card! So much so that I believe it may have to be one of my convention swaps!

What do you think? Would you like to receive this card in a swap?

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Owl Anniversary!

Stampin’ Up! Owl Anniversary!

Good morning! Yesterday was a fun day! I went to my aunt & uncles 60th Wedding Anniversary Celebration, and I was able to see relatives I haven't seen in years, talk & laugh with my favorite cousins, and see pictures of my ancestors I had never seen before!

I took several pictures of the pictures (I figure that's the only way I will ever be able to have copies, right?) and I want to share a few of those with you at a later date (some have interesting stories), but today I want to share the card I made for the celebrated couple:

Anniversary 1

This card is a souped-up version of one of the cards we made at my "Best of" class this past Friday. Not too hard to figure out, the bow for her hair was made with 2 of the hearts from the Owl Builder Punch and his bow-tie was made with the cut off feet from the same punch!

Anniversary 2

The inside phrase is from the Best of Brides & Babies 25th Anniversary Collection set, I added the "both" with my Basic Black marker.

Anniversary 3

I finished off the envelope with the Fancy Fan folder embossing the flap and a Secret Garden leaf framelit.

That's all for now! I'm off to Sunday morning church!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’Up! Harvest Blessings Birthday!

Stampin’Up! Harvest Blessings Birthday!

Good Morning! Today I am headed to my Aunt & Uncle's 60th Anniversary Celebration! I am also taking three of my grandkids with me; Ava, Cohen, and Jaxon! I am excited to show them off to relatives I rarely get to see! It's about a 3 hour drive north to Hartsburg, Illinois (and a 3 hour drive back!) so it's a big day ahead of us!

Today I want to show you this card we made at my "Best Of" class yesterday, using Harvest Blessings, Best of Birthdays, and the water drops stamp from the My Paper Pumpkin Try-it Kit! This is a 4 1/4" square card. I  like to use this size sometimes just to do something a little different from the regular 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"!

All products used are ©Stampin'Up!™1990-2013

Tractor 1

The card base is Baked Brown Sugar, layered with Marina Mist, then Soft Sky. All stamping and sponging was done with Baked Brown Sugar (isn't that just the YUMMIEST name?) ink and we added a Baked Brown Sugar Candy Dot in the lower right corner. This was my first time using a Candy Dot, and I think I'm in love! They are so easy to lift off the packaging with a Paper Piercing Tool, and simple to apply with the adhesive already on them! FUN!

After stamping and sponging we also embossed the top layer with the Chevron Textured Impressions Folder. I think it gives the look and feel of tractor-tire tread, what do you think?

Tractor 2

Finally, on the inside we stamped with a phrase from the Bring On the Cake stamp set, along with the pumpkin/apple basket stamp and the "you are the seed . . ." stamp from Harvest Blessings.

That's all for now. Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Happy Father’s Day! Secret Garden Masked Corners Re-visited!

Happy Father’s Day! Secret Garden Masked Corners Re-visited!

Good morning! Happy Father's Day! I'm sure many of you will be preparing a meal, or get-together for the fathers in your life, so I will make this a quick post!

My dad passed away 19 years ago. I still miss him and think of him often. He was a great Dad and an even GREATER grandpa! Just ask my oldest three: Jessica, Kimberly, and Troy, they will tell you Grandpa Wall was the BEST!

Yesterday I prepped for my workshops this coming week. One of them is a monthly class/club, so I see several of the same stampers every month. Last month they picked THIS CARD from my display to do this month. Two of the ink colors, all of the word stamps, and the ribbon retired on May 31, so I re-worked the card using all current products:

Secret Garden 1

What do you think? I kept the Secret Garden stamps and Framelits Collection, then substituted Blushing Bride for Pretty in Pink, Pear Pizzazz for Lucky Limeade, Pear Pizzazz 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon for Certainly Celery ribbon, and a phrase from Best of Greetings instead of the retired Friendly Phrases.

Secret garden 2
Inside I switched out the Beautiful Birthday stamp (one of my all-time favs) for one of the stamps from the new Million & One set (which is quickly becoming a NEW fav of mine)!

Well,I still have some things to prep and gather together for the day! It's church first, of course, then grilling out at Jessica's, swimming, (maybe a nap, who knows?), and generally hanging out with the entire family the rest of the day! I can't wait!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!
