I created with the already-so-popular-stamp-set-it's-already-on-backorder, Hey Chick!

Stampin_up_hey_chick_carolpaynestamps1

I embossed the So Saffron layer with the Hexagons Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, which give a chicken-wire-ish look!

Stampin_up_hey_chick_carolpaynestamps2

After I stamped the hen with Early Espresso ink I colored her body lightly with a Basic Black Watercolor Pencil. I colored her feet and beak with a Pumpkin Pie Watercolor Pencil, and her comb with a Real Red Stampin' Write Marker. I lightly scribbled some ground around her feet with an Early Espresso Watercolor Pencil.

After coloring I cut with a Layering Oval Framelit, then adhered to an Early Espresso scalloped oval.

Hey Chick!, which comes in wood-mount (includes coordinating wood blocks) or clear-mount (red rubber ready to attach to clear blocks) can be yours when you order at least $50 before tax & shipping in my online store: http://bit.ly/shopwithCarolPayneStamps

Inside I stamped the crazy-headed chicken with Early Espresso and added a sentiment with Real Red ink.  I stamped the envelope flap with the Butterfly Basics chickenwire-looking image.

Stampin’ Up! Challenge Cards Made By Becky!

Stampin’ Up! Challenge Cards Made By Becky!

Hey there! Today I have cards created by a member of my team, Becky Anderson. At our monthly team meeting I post a challenge for the next month to create a card with a theme. Last month's theme was anything with flowers and my team created some beautiful samples. Today I have three to share with you from Becky!

Stampin_up_rebecca_anderson_carolpaynestamps_1

First, Becky layered a piece of Birthday Bouquet Designer Paper (retiring) over a Blushing Bride base with a layer of Watermelon Wonder in between. After adding a pleated piece of Watermelon Wonder 1 1/4" Striped Satin Ribbon (retiring), she added a fancy-cut bloom from another piece of Birthday Bouquet paper. A fancy-cut greeting from the Balloon Celebration stamp set finishes it all off.

Stampin_up_balloon_celebration_carolpaynestamps1

Inside she stamped a phrase from Suite Sayings and "Happy Birthday"  from a stamp set I know I should know but am unable to identify! lol!

Stampin_up_suite_sayings_carolpaynestamps

Becky's next entry is a monochromatic Calypso Coral card using Botanical Builder Framelits, rhinestones, and a greeting from Butterfly Basics, all carrying over to the new catalog!

Stampin_up_butterfly_basics_carolpaynestamps_1

Inside Becky punched the corners of the Whisper White layer with the Curvy Corner Trio punch again, then stamped a phrase from the Fabulous Four set, which is retiring on May 31st.

Stampin_up_fabulous_four_carolpaynestamps_1

Becky's final creation starts with a Sahara Sand card base with a layer of Basic Black, followed by a top layer of Timeless Elegance Designer Paper that she sponged with Real Red ink.

She added a greeting from Petite Pairs (retiring), punched with retiring oval punches. The Sahara Sand 7/8" Lace Trim is also retiring.

Inside Becky stamped a phrase from Blessed By God (retiring) and punched the corners with the Curvy Corner Trio punch (also retiring)

Stampin’Up! Grateful Bunch!

Stampin’Up! Grateful Bunch!

Hey there! Just a quick post this morning to share with you the final card from my Stampin' In the New Year class last week. Again, I took one of the monthly swaps I have received, stepped it up and finished the inside. I'm pretty sure Karen Kurz created the original using the Grateful Bunch Bundle of stamps and Blossom Bunch Punch:

Stampin_up_grateful_bunch_1

After stamping and punching with the Blossom Bunch Punch, the flowers were colored with a So Saffron marker and adhered with dimensionals. An Iced Rhinestone was added to the largest bloom and regular rhinestones were added to the remaining two. The dotted leaf behind the blooms was stamped with Pear Pizzazz, then subtly colored with So Saffron ink and a Blender Pen.

Stampin_up_grateful_bunch_2

Inside I stamped the lace trim from Grateful Bunch, "Happy Birthday" from Butterfly Basics, and colored the stamped butterfly with the So Saffron Stampin' Write Marker.

Here's the class handout to download for your reference:

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day!

Hey there! Yesterday was a crazy busy day for me. I never got time to type my blog post, and I'm sorry about that. I will share the final card from the class with you tomorrow, so please come back again!

Today is Sunday Swap Day, and I think you will enjoy today's projects!

First, Raedean Shibata combined Stars Framelits, Lucky Stars Textured Impressions folder, Endless Birthday Wishes stamps, and a couple of the Cherry on Top Washi tapes:

Stampin_up_endless_birthday_wishes

Love her "shooting star" look! The Cucumber Crush/Crushed Curry/Whisper White color combo makes it very versatile. It would work for just about anyone!

Next, Lorraine Duran used the Get Well Soup single stamp with the Watercolor Wash background to create this cute little gift pouch:

Stampin_up_get_well_soup

Inside she tucked a single Lipton Cup-a-Soup packet. Her colors of Hello Honey, So Saffron, and Delightful Dijon are very "chicken-soupy"!

Stampin_up_get_well_soup_2
Kim Allen used No Bones About It with Cherry on Top washi tape for her cute little birthday card. Who doesn't love a dinosaur with his skeleton showing through?

Finally, Tami Ackerson combined Watercolor Wings with Butterfly Basics for her birthday creation:

Stampin’ Up! Awesomely Artistic Class Card Number Three!

Hey there! Here's the final card for the August Awesomely Artistic Online Class!

What's the Online Class? Every month I create three cards, using the same stamp set, birthday themed. I used the Brick Wall Textured Impressions Folder to give the card front a "garden wall":

After stamping the floral image with Elegant Eggplant ink, I used a Blender Pen to spread around the ink for soft color. I used the same Blender Pen to color the leaves with ink squeezed onto the lid of the ink pad.

I stamped the floral onto crumb cake before embossing with the Brick Wall folder, and on the "ledge".

I highlighted the blooms with a tiny bit of Gold Dazzling Details.

I pulled  the gold thread from Gold Metallic Baker's Twine to tie through the Very Vintage Button.

Stampin’ Up! Typeset Butterfly Basics!

Stampin’ Up! Typeset Butterfly Basics!

Hey there! Today I need to share with you one of the favorite cards from the buffet last weekend. This card is a CASE of a beautiful card created by Joanne Rolston, a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator from Canada. We used Typeset Specialty Designer Paper, Very Vanilla, Blushing Bride, and Early Espresso card stock with lots of stamping-off and sponging with Tip Top Taupe:

Stampin_up_typeset_butterfly_1 - Copy

The Butterfly Basics stamp set, a carry over from the Occasions Catalog, provided all the images and sentiments we needed.

Stampin_up_typeset_butterfly_2 - Copy

The only additions we made to Joanne's creation were to emboss the Blushing Bride layer with the Modern Mosaic Textured Impressions Folder, and to add loops of the new Gold Metallic Thread behind the butterfly with glue dots to give the look of antennae.

Stampin_up_typeset_butterfly_3 - Copy

The two sentiments in the set, "Happy Birthday" and "Sending Wishes Your Way" are so interchangeable and versatile.

That's all for now. Here's the supply list to find everything you need in my online store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net
