Stampin’ Up! An Open Heart for a Birthday!

Stampin’ Up! An Open Heart for a Birthday!

Hey there! I used An Open Heart, Kinda Eclectic, and Blessed By God sets, all from the Retiring Stamps list for today's card:

Stampin_up_open_heart_carolpaynestamps1

I stamped An Open Heart birdie with Archival Basic Black ink on Very Vanilla. I stamped the bird again on a Post-it Note, cutting it out to create a mask to cover the bird while I stamped the leaves over it with stamped-off Mossy Meadow ink. Before I removed the mask I also stamped over the bird and leaves with stamped-off Soft Suede ink and the "sandy" stamp from Gorgeous Grunge.

Don't throw away your used Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush! It's hard to tell in here,  but I colored the bird with Soft Suede ink squeezed onto the lid of the pad, picked up and painted on the birdie with the Wink of Stella Brush. The left-over Wink of Stella  gives the bird a subtle shimmer!

Inside I used the same masking technique with the bird, but did not color.

Stampin’ Up! Every Day Chic Blessed By God!

Stampin’ Up! Every Day Chic Blessed By God!

Hey there! I created today's card for my monthly swap last month. The theme was wedding, so I used now-retiring Everyday Chic Designer Paper, Blessed By God stamps, and Greetings Thinlets:

Stampin_up_everyday_chic_carolpaynestamps1

I used Whisper White Thick card stock for my card base, with layers of Everyday Chic Designer Paper and Basic Black card stock for the formal look:

Stampin_up_everyday_chic_carolpaynestamps2

I used Project Life Cards and Labels Framelits for the black frame, and a retiring Greetings Thinlet for the "cheers"

Stampin_up_everyday_chic_carolpaynestamps3

To create the large open heart I punched black card stock with the Sweetheart Punch, then used the heart from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlets Dies to cut around the negative space left from the first punch. I did the same process for the small heart, punching the center with a heart from the Confetti Hearts Border Punch, then punched around the negative space with the heart punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. A single rhinestone provides a little bling.

Stampin_up_blessed_by_god_carolpaynestamps4

Inside I repeated the black-and-white look with more layers cut with the Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits, heart punches, and sentiments from the Blessed By God stamp set.

It's not too late to order the products to make this card. Just go to my online store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Stampin’ Up! Challenge Cards Made By Becky!

Stampin’ Up! Challenge Cards Made By Becky!

Hey there! Today I have cards created by a member of my team, Becky Anderson. At our monthly team meeting I post a challenge for the next month to create a card with a theme. Last month's theme was anything with flowers and my team created some beautiful samples. Today I have three to share with you from Becky!

Stampin_up_rebecca_anderson_carolpaynestamps_1

First, Becky layered a piece of Birthday Bouquet Designer Paper (retiring) over a Blushing Bride base with a layer of Watermelon Wonder in between. After adding a pleated piece of Watermelon Wonder 1 1/4" Striped Satin Ribbon (retiring), she added a fancy-cut bloom from another piece of Birthday Bouquet paper. A fancy-cut greeting from the Balloon Celebration stamp set finishes it all off.

Stampin_up_balloon_celebration_carolpaynestamps1

Inside she stamped a phrase from Suite Sayings and "Happy Birthday"  from a stamp set I know I should know but am unable to identify! lol!

Stampin_up_suite_sayings_carolpaynestamps

Becky's next entry is a monochromatic Calypso Coral card using Botanical Builder Framelits, rhinestones, and a greeting from Butterfly Basics, all carrying over to the new catalog!

Stampin_up_butterfly_basics_carolpaynestamps_1

Inside Becky punched the corners of the Whisper White layer with the Curvy Corner Trio punch again, then stamped a phrase from the Fabulous Four set, which is retiring on May 31st.

Stampin_up_fabulous_four_carolpaynestamps_1

Becky's final creation starts with a Sahara Sand card base with a layer of Basic Black, followed by a top layer of Timeless Elegance Designer Paper that she sponged with Real Red ink.

She added a greeting from Petite Pairs (retiring), punched with retiring oval punches. The Sahara Sand 7/8" Lace Trim is also retiring.

Inside Becky stamped a phrase from Blessed By God (retiring) and punched the corners with the Curvy Corner Trio punch (also retiring)

Stampin’ Up! Bloomin’ Love Berry Basket of Cards!

Stampin’ Up! Bloomin’ Love Berry Basket of Cards!

Hey there! Today I have a set of cards in an adorable little Berry Basket using Bloomin' Love:

Stampin_up_carolpaynestamps_bloomin_love_2

I  CASED this project from Caroline Van Der Straaten, a demonstrator who participates in the Mediterranean Achiever's Blog Hop with me every month, with a few changes of my own. I used the "baby wipe inkpad" technique to stamp the leafy heart and the flower bouquets on the inside, then pressed my Versamark inkpad over the stamped heart, sprinkled with Iridescent Ice embossing Powder, and heated with my Heat Tool. This provides sparkle and intensifies the colors.

Stampin_up_carolpaynestamps_bloomin_love_3

Inside I continued the Valentine theme with a sentiment from Bloomin' Love. I lined the envelopes with Love Blossoms DSP:

Stampin_up_carolpaynestamps_bloomin_love_4

A sentiment from And Many More creates a wedding theme, and a bloom cut with the Bloomin' Heart Dies and Blushing Bride Glimmer lend more sparkle:

Stampin_up_carolpaynestamps_bloomin_love_5

A sentiment from Blessed by God compliments the theme perfectly:

Lastly, a friend card:

Another sentiment from Blessed By God:

Stampin’ Up! A Whole Lot of Lovely!

Stampin’ Up! A Whole Lot of Lovely!

Hey there! Today was going to be yard sale day, but the forecast called for rain, so we rescheduled it. This morning is SUNNY and blue skies, so I guess this day was meant for stamping! Too bad! lol!

I stamped last night too, and created these for a swap:

Stampin_up_a_whole_lot_of_lovely_1 - Copy

I used the "A Whole Lot of Lovely" Host set.

Stampin_up_a_whole_lot_of_lovely_2 - Copy

Gold Metallic Thread for butterfly antennas!

Stampin_up_a_whole_lot_of_lovely_3 - Copy

It's hard to capture in pictures, but I turned the paper inside the Fluttering folder so the embossed butterflies are "flying" across the card.

A new Metallic Foil Doily made a perfect accent. The package contains 24 doilies, 12 large and 12 small, each in silver and gold. I cut the 6 large gold in half to make 12 pieces.

Stampin_up_a_whole_lot_of_lovely_4 - Copy

The Pretty Petals paper stack is gorgeous! You will see another project with this paper next week!

The Perpetual Birthday Calendar stamps add just the right extra something. I stamped the teeny-tiny butterflies with Calypso Coral ink.

Here's the supply list for today. You can find everything you need in my online store:
