Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Dreams Petals!

Hey there stamping friends! My card today is a re-make of the card I shared with the FCCLA group back in February. Instead of You're Sublime, I took the left over card kits and created this card with Dragonfly Dreams and Suite Sayings!

The colors are still Emerald Envy, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, and Basic Black!

I painted the Basic Black Dragonfly with Clear Wink of Stella for some shine.

The Suite Sayings greeting is also stamped with the spots from Dragonfly Dreams and punched with the Decorative Label Punch which, sadly, is retiring.

I finished off the front with Emerald Envy sponging and Emerald Envy 3/8" Ruched Ribbon.

Inside I stamped another Suite Sayings phrase and more Tempting Turquoise spots.

Stampin’ Up! That’s the Tag for Mother!

Hey there stamping friends! As this blog post is posting I am already on my way to Shreveport, LA for the unveiling of the upcoming new 2017/2018 Annual Catalog with 6 of my Yes Mam! Stampers Team! I have scheduled my post for the next few days, so even though I'm gone there will still be something new for you to see!

This card was actually the first one I created with the That's the Tag Bundle!

I rubbed one side of the Fluttering Textured Impressions Folder with Daffodil Delight ink before embossing the Whisper White layer. So pretty! I cut a second tag of Marina Mist to layer under the white tag cut with the tiny butterflies. "to my amazing mother" is included in That's the Tag.

This is such a bright and cheery card! I sponged the butterflies cut from the white tag with Daffodil Delight ink before adding them around the Suite Sayings Sentiment.

Tomorrow I have the last That's the Tag card I've made. There's still a few more images in the set I haven't used yet, so don't be surprised when more show up in the next few weeks!

Stampin’ Up! Stylized Birthday Watercolor Bokeh!

Hey there! Today's card is another one using the Watercolor Bokeh technique with a color combo of Rich Razzleberry, Bermuda Bay, and Whisper White:

This combo is so bright, pretty, and modern girly!

Start by heat embossing with white powder Stylized Birthday on the Watercolor Paper.

Spritz lightly with water. You can also use an Aqua Painter.

Add drops of Bermuda Bay reinker first, allowing the ink to spread naturally.

Add drops of Rich Razzleberry reinker, allowing the ink to spread and run into the Bermuda Bay.

Dry with a Heat Tool. Create a stencil with circle punches, lay over the inked layer , then swirl Whisper White Craft ink in the openings with a Sponge Dauber.

Remove the stencil:

To get the more layered bokeh-look, I randomly pounced the dauber all over, then set the sticky Craft ink with my Heat Tool.

I added the bokeh layer to the card front with Tear and Tape Adhesive all around the sides and through the middle to keep it from warping.

Inside I used the same circle stencil with Rich Razzleberry and Bermuda Bay ink.

This sentiment if my favorite from Suite Sayings.

Stampin’ Up! Stylized Birthday Watercolor Bokeh!

Stampin’ Up! Paisley & Posies Pumpkins!

Hey there! Today I have a couple of cards I created with Paisley & Posies, Halloween Night Specialty Designer Paper, and Layering Ovals Framelits.

I mailed this card to my SIL, Harriett, last week.

I embossed a paisley from Paisley & Posies with gold powder, cut with a Layering Oval Framelit, then sponged with Pumpkin Pie ink. I layered together with dimensionals to create the pumpkin.

I created the stem by cutting off the base of the tree trunk punched with the Tree Builder Punch. The tendrils are punched with the Sprinkles Punch.

I finished the inside with a sentiment from Suite Sayings and a pumpkin image from the September Paper Pumpkin.

I created a second pumpkin card with the same supplies, except I embossed my images with copper powder on Basic Black card stock.

I decided t give this pumpkin two tendrils, again using the Sprinkles Punch!

I used a sentiment from Better Together.

I also copper embossed the coordinating Better Together sentiment inside.

Hey there! We are still waiting for baby. We even went shopping for a few hours last night in hopes of getting labor started, but so far nothing is happening. Babies come when they want to, don't they!

Today's card is a super-duper easy one I created while I still had the Sheltering Tree set on my crafting table. Super easy because I stamped the tree and the greeting on a piece of Serene Scenery Designer Paper and it looks fabulous!

The photo-journalistic look of Serene Scenery gives this card so much texture, you really think you can FEEL it!

I stamped everything with Early Espresso. The font of Stylized Birthday coordinates perfectly with the starkness of the tree.

The only think even slightly fiddly with this card is the ribbon. I sponged Gold 1/4" Natural Trim with Early Espresso ink to match. After adding color with a sponge dauber I rubbed it through a paper towel a few times to remove the excess ink. I tied it in a simple knot and trimmed the ends.

Inside I kept it simple by stamping this fun sentiment from Suite Sayings.

This card hardly took any time at all! Quick and easy in a snap!
