Stampin’ Up! Gingerbread Man!

Hey there stamping friends! I can’t believe I am finally getting to use my blog! Typepad, the blog platform I have used since I started blogging in 2007, closed down at the end of September, so I had to choose a new blog platform. A close friend of mine and a member of my team, Joanne Cantrell, uses Word Press for her blog, so I asked her to “help me” migrate my blog to the same platform. (by “help” I mean she DID IT ALL for me, lol)

I’ve been wanting to get back to blogging for a long time, and hope to be more consistent with it moving forward. The past few years have been jam-packed with non-stamping activities, from babysitting grand babies to helping my daughter move out of her home, then supporting her emotionally as she goes through the process of divorcing her not-so-nice husband of over 25 years. I won’t get into the sordid details, but just suffice it to say there will be no regret for any of us when the divorce is final. We DO have fun things to look forward to in 2026: two more grand-babies coming in March and June, and a second great-grand arriving in January. We will have a total of 20 Grands and 2 Great-Grands by mid-June!

Today I want to share with you this fun Gingerbread Man card I created back in August for a swap.

This card was fun to create! The die to cut the gingerbread man is actually two of the same outline with a connection at the arms so the piece can be folded to create a shaped card. After heat-embossing the man image on Pecan Pie I cut out the two attached outlines, then attached to a standard card base of 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″. For the inside I stamped the man in Real Red on white, cut him out with just one side of the die, then trimmed him down with scissors. The greeting is from the Jar of Joy stamp set.

Finally, I added a white layer to the back of the card base for the area to add a signature and any other sentiments. I used images from the Jar of Joy Bundle.

Stampin’ Up! Inked & Tiled!

Hey there! Today is Free Shipping Day at Stampin' Up! on all orders of $75 or more, AND the 15% off Designer Series Paper Sale is still going on too, which is why I wanted to share with you this card I created with the Inked & Tiled stamp set and the coordinating Inked Botanicals 6 x 6 Designer Paper that is on sale too!

As you can see, I let the Inked Botanicals paper do most of the work, providing the background layer and the cross-piece, as well as the focal image layer, which is the only layer stamped on the card front!

We also made this card at my June card class last Saturday. I kept the colors separate by stamping each image with a different color: Crushed Curry, Lost Lagoon, and Calypso Coral.

I stamped the Crushed Curry and Calypso Coral full-strength, but stamped-off the Lost Lagoon leaves once on scrap paper before stamping on the plaid designer paper. I stamped the greeting with full-strength Lost Lagoon. I added a piece of Lost Lagoon 1/4" Bordered Ribbon that I frayed a bit on the ends. I finished the front with a few Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems.

I finished the inside of the Very Vanilla card layer with coordinating stamping and a birthday greeting.

It’s Been a Long Time!

Hey there! I know I posted here a few weeks ago, but then fell off the face of the earth again. Things have been really different around here since my daughter's family moved in with us in the middle of March. With 6 littles ages 9, 8, 6, 4, 3, and almost 1, there's so much to do and so many needs to be met. Please don't think that I am complaining, I love having them here and getting to be an active participant in their lives, but naturally I've had to put much of my Stampin' Up! business on the back-burner.

It is now summer and my schedule is starting to open up just a little bit more, (after VBS is over this week where I am in charge of Crafts). I wanted to share a class that I have scheduled for this coming Saturday at my church, Ina Free Will Baptist Church in Ina, Illinois. I don't have all of the projects figured out yet, but here's three of the five projects we will be making:

Stampin’ Up! Bright & Beautiful Suite Collection!

Hey there! I've been MIA again, finishing up the school year baby-sitting with Fiona, taking care of my family living with us, and becoming a great-grandma! Woods William Thompson was born last Wednesday night, weighing a whopping 5 lbs. 7 oz! He and his mama are perfect, so no worries!

He is simply the cutest little guy!

I haven't been doing much stamping lately, but I did create this card with the Bright & Beautiful Suite Collection found on pages 14-15 of the new Annual Catalog:

I used all of the components of the suite, adding in a few more of my favorite products. I used Blueberry Bushel, a returning in-color, to stamp "YAY YOU!" directly on the balloon cut with a Beautiful Balloons die from Bright & Beautiful 6 x 6 designer paper. I cut more balloons from Berry Burst and Blueberry Bushel card stocks, then cut another balloon from the Gold Celebrations Specialty paper to add over the Berry Burst balloon with a mini glue dot. I adhered all of the balloons to a Lemon Lime Twist layer that I embossed with one of the Basics 3D embossing folders. These folders are only available to see online, and are part of the new "Online Exclusives", but should be available most of the year as they were mentioned in the new Annual Catalog.

The Beautiful Balloons dies include a die to cut this "fringe"! I sandwiched it between the embossed layer and the card front with a line of liquid glue.

Inside I stamped the "Happy Birthday" with Blueberry Bushel ink on a tag I cut with another of the Beautiful Balloons dies! I added a bit of gold Simply Elegant Trim and gold sequins to finish it off!

Stampin’ Up! Resurrection Sunday Retiring Cards!

Hey there and Happy Resurrection Sunday! I'm so thankful that my Lord & Savior, Jesus, was willing to die on the cross for my sins, and even more thankful that he conquered death and the grave when he came back to life on this day all those years ago!

I scrolled through my blog posts from the past year to find cards created with retiring stamps, dies, designer papers, and embellishments just so I can share a few of them with you to remind you of what's going away before I start creating with new supplies!

First, I created this card with retiring Butterfly Kisses 6 x 6 designer ( discounted 20% on the Last Chance List = $9.60 instead of $12) I also used

retiring Brilliant Wings dies (discounted 60% on the Last Chance List = $17.60 instead of $44.00)

Using the same retiring Butterfly Kisses designer paper I created this card using the Sending Smiles bundle (which is carrying over to the new Annual Catalog but will no longer be bundled for the 10% savings). I also embossed the designer paper strips with the Stitched Greenery Die, which is discounted 40$ = $19.20 instead of $32)

I used the retiring Sunny Splash stamp set to create this fun card. The Cascading Ruffles embossing folder I used is carrying over to the new Annual Catalog!

Finally for today, I used the retiring Lovely You stamp set with a completely different color palette from the retiring Butterfly Kisses 6 x 6 Designer paper. This card is my favorite from this group!

Stampin’ Up! Sentimental Park!

Hey there! I've decided the best plan for me is to try to post her every other day or so, just so I can continue to connect with you all, keep stamping, but still have time for the demands on my time here at home.

I created this card with the Sentimental Park Bundle and Regency Park 6 x 6 Designer Paper from the January/April Mini Catalog. This bundle with the 10% savings and the designer paper is retiring at the end of the month, but the stamps and the dies will continue to be available in the new 2023/24 Annual Catalog.

This card is an off-center gate fold. I scored and folded the 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" Night of Navy card base at 1 3/4" and 6".

The Regency Park designer paper layer is 2 1/4" x 5 1/2. The flowery label base is also cut from Night of Navy. The Sentimental Park die used to cut the label base also cuts inner slits to slide the white greeting layer. The greeting layer is also cut with a Sentimental Park die. The Loose Daisy embellishments I added are carrying over to the new catalog. I added them with tiny drops of liquid glue, but mini glue dots will work just as well.

I embossed a 1 3/4" x 5 1/2" strip of Night of Navy with one of the three Basics 3D Embossing Folders, Crosshatch. I adhered with liquid glue so the embossed design wouldn't be flattened during application.

I stamped the inside with another sentiment from the Sentimental Park set. The blooms are two separate stamps, but I used the same Night of Navy ink, stamping-off once on my grid sheet before stamping the more solid image. Doing this achieves two shades of Night of Navy.

Stampin’ Up! Nested Friends!

Hey there! I am very happy to be back today to share with you a card I created with the Nested Friends Bundle of stamps and dies:

I adhered a strip of designer series paper to a layer of Pear Pizzazz card stock, then embossed with the Cane Weave 3D embossing folder for the background of the card. The nest layers is cut from Crumb Cake and Kraft 6 x 6 card stock, accented by Pear Pizzazz leaves. All of the die cuts are created with the Nested Friends dies. I splattered the eggs, cut from Basic White card stock, with Tahitian Tide ink flicked from a Tahitian Tide Stampin' Write Marker.

I cut the Tahitian Tide-stamped greeting, from the Nested Friends stamp set, with a Sending die.

Inside images are also all from Nested Friends. This stamp set is not on the Last Chance List, but is also not shown in the new Annual Catalog. It will be available in my online store after the new catalog goes live on May 2nd.

Stampin’ Up! March is Here!

Hey there! March is here! Spring is coming! I can't wait! There are so many things I love about Spring, however, I do not enjoy the spring allergies that come with it. I have started my allergy meds so they will be in full force when the pollen starts to fly. I've already seen some daffodils blooming!

March also means Sale-a-bration is over until next year. {insert sad face :( }

However, Stampin' Up! isn't leaving us high and dry, searching for new inspiration!

A new program, Online Exclusives, started today!

What are Online Exclusives?

Items that you can only see on my Stampin' Up! website. These items will be fresh and NEW! You won't see them in a catalog which is why they are called Online Exclusives.

And today is the day of the very first ONLINE EXCLUSIVE RELEASE!

Online Exclusives are a great opportunity for new experiences! You won’t find these products in any catalog. Some products will only be available for a limited amount of time, but some will be re-stocked when supplies run low. I don't know which ones are which yet, but you can be sure I will let you know as soon as I do!

Stamps, dies, bundles, designer paper, and embellishments are all included in the Online Exclusives!
