Stampin’ Up! More Happy Birthday To Me!

Hey there! I received more hand-stamped birthday cards that I wanted to share with you! Not all birthday cards come when you expect them, which is kind of nice. You get to celebrate a little longer!

My sweet friend Rachel Janus sent me this card, which she made in one of my classes with the Painter's Palette stamp set and Playful Palette Designer Paper! I featured this card in my "Painter's Palette Rip & Flip" post. View it HERE.

I consider it an honor that she would send me this card!

My good friend, Donna Ninness, created and sent me this card using the beautiful but retired Crisp Cantaloupe and Whisper White!

I love everything about this card! Although most of the elements are retired, they are still just a gorgeous as when they were current!

The tiny pearls she put on the bodice complement the Perfect Polka Dots-embossed background. She used tiny accents of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper for the hat band and the sash.

She cut both ends of the greeting banner with a retired Chalk Talk framelit, and colored the rhinestone in the center of the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer flower with a peach Sharpie marker!

Everyone has made me feel so special! Thank you!

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Surprise!

Hey there! My team surprised me last night with a little birthday party! They blew me away with cards, a gift, and yummy gluten-free "hummingbird" cupcakes!

Martha Swift made this gift card bag using two pieces of Playful Palette Designer Paper, then taught us how to make it! TWO gifts in one for a stamper! This bag has a hidden layer of cardboard, cut from the designer paper packaging, for extra stability!

She also made a double-slider card, then demonstrated it too!

Angela Black created her card with the Paisleys & Posies set. This paper and stamp set are fast becoming my favorite off the non-Christmas products in the Holiday Catalog!

I love her medallion-stamped accents on both ends of the greeting,. She added a few rhinestones randomly over the card front, adding elegance and sparkle!

I came to the meeting to teach and help them, but I went home blessed by them!

Stampin’ Up! Foxy Friends Black Cat!

Hey there! Playing with my Holiday Catalog pre-order, I created this card with Swirly Scribbles Thinlets, Foxy Friends, Labeler Alphabet, and Cookie Cutter Halloween, coming in the Holiday Catalog on September 1st!a

After cutting the "pumpkin" from Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper (available to order Sept. 1st), with a Swirly Scribbles Thinlet, I put the center back in the swirls to look more "pumpkin-y".

It's easy to make the kitty with the Fox Builder Punch! I stamped the kitty face and front legs with Foxy Friends and Whisper White Craft ink. I punched the tail from Basic Black card stock, then trimmed into a kitty tail with Paper Snips.

I added eyes with So Saffron punched with the Tree Builder Punch raindrop. I added pupils with a Project Life Journaling Pen.

I embossed the background with the Lucky Stars folder, and the So Saffron "moon" with the Softly Falling folder. I sponged the stars with Whisper White Craft ink and the moon with So Saffron Classic ink. I used Labeler Alphabet to create the "BOO!", and hand-snipped the bat from Cookie Cutter Halloween!

Inside I used an Acorny Thank You sentiment, and cut another pumpkin with the smallest Swirly Scribbles Thinlet. Leaves were cut with a Swirly Scribbles thinlet.

Stampin’ Up! Foxy Friends Black Cat!

After cutting the "pumpkin" from Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper (available to order Sept. 1st), with a Swirly Scribbles Thinlet, I put the center back in the swirls to look more "pumpkin-y".

I added eyes with So Saffron punched with the Tree Builder Punch raindrop. I added pupils with a Project Life Journaling Pen.

Inside I used an Acorny Thank You sentiment, and cut another pumpkin with the smallest Swirly Scribbles Thinlet. Leaves were cut with a Swirly Scribbles thinlet.

Stampin’ Up! Sunshine Wishes Early Birthday Card!

Hey there! It's been raining cats and dogs here for the past two days, but my day brightened a lot yesterday when I received an early (my birthday is on the 24th) birthday card from my dear friend, Becky. Becky is also a demonstrator on my team, so of course she hand-stamped her card using Sunshine Wishes Thinlets!

These pics are kind of dark. I like to take them outside before the sunset, but everything here is just drenched!

I love Becky's color combo of Dapper Denim, Daffodil Delight, Soft Sky, and Whisper White! Becky embossed the Soft Sky layer with the Petal Burst folder.

I love the butterflies she created with the thinlets and rhinestones!

Becky complemented the "wishes", stamped with Endless Birthday Wishes, with a bit of Dapper Denim 3/8" Ruched Ribbon.

Stampin’ Up! Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop August Edition Shakin’ It Up with Shaker Cards!

Hey there! Welcome to the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop! Our theme this month is "Shakin' It Up with Shaker Cards!" As you visit each blog on the hop you will see lots of fun ideas and probably learn a tip or two along the way!

I decided to use the new "Shake & Celebrate' from the upcoming Holiday Catalog, which you can order from on September 1st. I also gave this card to my daughter, Kimberly, for her birthday! I love it when a project does "double-duty" for me!

With my box of Holiday Catalog pre-order on hand, it was fun to play with new stuff while creating!

After cutting the four cake layers all at once with a new Shaker Shapes Framelit, which is bundled with the Shake & Celebrate stamp set, I then embossed the Sweet Sugarplum layer with the new Pretty Paisleys folder. I stamped the cake stand with Rich Razzleberry ink.

To give a look of frosting, I added lines of connected pearls, included in the Pearls Basic Jewels Embellishment pack. So handy when you don't want to have to take the time to place a lot of pearls in a row!

I covered the openings with a window sheet, framed the cake outline with Foam Adhesive Strips, then added a mixture of Metallic Sequins and Holiday Catalog Mica Flakes! After removing the backing from the foam strips I added a square of scrap white card stock to close up the window before adhering to the card front.

Inside I used a sentiment from Grateful Bunch and added blooms from the Holiday Catalog set, Paisleys and Posies.

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day!

Hey there! For Sunday Swap Day I have some bright and cheery creations to share with you!

First, Ruth Bingle combined Fresh Fruits stamps and Fruit Stand Designer Paper with an acetate card base (also know as a window sheet) to create this unique beauty:

Whenever I see this phrase "love you more", I always want to ask, "than what? than you love me? than chocolate, than grilled cheese?"

Next, Linda Pagel also used Fresh Fruit and Fruit Stand paper for her swap. She gave the peach a more realistic look by sponging Watermelon Wonder ink over Peekaboo Peach. She also used the new Layering Squares Framelits to cut her focal image layers, and used a narrow strip of Watermelon Wonder card stock as "faux ribbon".

Finally, Sharon Tong-Robinson used the Swirly Bird Bundle that includes the Swirly Scribbles Thinlets to create her bright and cheery card. Her sentiment is from Garden in Bloom.
