Stampin’ Up! Artistically Inked Baby Wipes!

Stampin’ Up! Artistically Inked Baby Wipes!

Hey there! I'm back again today with another Artistically Inked birthday card. Today I used the Baby Wipe "swipe" technique to create the background with Polished Pink and Fresh Freesia re-inkers.

Stampin_up_artistically_inked_baby_wipe_carolpaynestamps1 (2)

After putting drops of Polished Pink and Fresh Freesia on the folded edge of a baby wipe, I swiped it over the Basic White layer in a curving motion several times to cover the layer and create the background. I stamped the bloom in Fresh Freesia and the greeting in Tuxedo Black. I then partially cut with the coordinating Artistic Die, and added the dots stamped with Polished Pink and a Fresh Freesia Playing With Patterns Resin Dot.

Stampin_up_artistically_inked_baby_wipe_carolpaynestamps2

To partially cut the flower, I laid it on the cutting platform of my Stampin' Cut & Emboss with the greeting and lower edge of the bloom hanging off the edge so it wouldn't be cut.

Stampin_up_artistically_inked_baby_wipe_carolpaynestamps6 (2)

After partially cutting, I finished cutting the greeting with my Paper Trimmer and the rest of the bloom with my paper snips.

I mounted the flower/greeting with several Stampin' Dimensionals over the Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon.

I used a Peaceful Moments sentiment inside and another swipe with the baby wipe!

Stampin’ Up! Music From The Heart Baby Wipes Technique!

Stampin’ Up! Music From The Heart Baby Wipes Technique!

Hey there! I created today's card with the Baby Wipes technique. Traditionally a technique done with glossy card stock, I decided to use regular plain Whisper White and it turned out great!

I used Seaside Spray, Balmy Blue, and Night of Navy in refills on folded pieces of baby wipe to create the swirls of color over the retiring Music From the Heart images heat embossed with clear powder.

Stampin_up_music_from_the_heart_carolpaynestamps1

I think I forgot to use my embossing buddy on the white paper before I stamped and embossed, which is why I have some random "scatter" flecks between some of the images. Stampin'Up! is retiring the Embossing Buddy. If you are planning to do any heat embossing I would urge you to order one today before they are gone! They are just the thing you need to help your embossed images to heat up clean!

Stampin_up_music_from_the_heart_carolpaynestamps3

I stamped the greeting and the piano keys with black on on white, then hand-cut them out. Don't be afraid to cut things with your Paper Snips scissors. I know it's often called "fussy cutting", which sounds like misery, but with just a little practice you can think of it as "fancy cutting" and it can definitely change your perspective and make your project possibilities grow!

Stampin’ Up! Baby Wipes Christmas Pines!

Stampin’ Up! Baby Wipes Christmas Pines!

Hey there! The Hello December Christmas card class is in it's final day today and I wanted to share with you a swap that I chose to feature as one of the cards my stampers can make. It's a swap I received from Judy Anderson. I added a few things and finished the inside to make it my own:

Stampin_up_christmas_pines_carolpaynestamps1

Elegant Eggplant and Always Artichoke is an unexpected but pleasing color combo for Christmas!

Stampin_up_christmas_pines_carolpaynestamps3

I added the Mini Pinecone embellishment beside the paper pinecone stamped with the Baby Wipe Technique!

Baby Wipe Technique:

Fold a single baby wipe into fourths. Lay on a non-porous surface. Start by adding a few drops of Pear Pizzazz ink to the custom "ink pad".

Stampin_up_christmas_pines_carolpaynestamps4

Then add drops of Wisteria Wonder ink to fill in around and between the Pear Pizzazz.

Stampin_up_christmas_pines_carolpaynestamps5

Ink the stamp with this custom-colored ink pad!

Stampin_up_christmas_pines_carolpaynestamps6

Cut out the pine cone with one of the dies in the Christmas Pines Thinlets set.

Stampin_up_christmas_pines_carolpaynestamps7

Paint the edges of the pine cone with a Gold Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.

Stampin’ Up! Apple of My Eye Baby Wipe Technique!

Stampin’ Up! Apple of My Eye Baby Wipe Technique!

Hey there! When I was playing with the Apple of My Eye and That Thing You Did stamp sets, I decided to try the baby wipe technique with the citrus stamp:

Stampin_up_apple_of_my_eye_baby_wipe_carolpaynestamps_1 - Copy

If you aren't familiar with the baby wipe technique, here's a quick little description:

  1. Fold a baby wipe into an ink pad shape on a non-porous surface, like a disposable plastic plate. (I use an inexpensive baby wipe that doesn't have much of a design embossed on it)
  2. Using an ink pad reinker, put drops of ink directly on the baby wipe. For my card today I started with drops of Daffodil Delight. I spaced the drops apart so as they reacted with the moisture in the baby wipe they would bleed toward each other.
  3. Add drops of other colors in between and around the first ink drops, allowing the colors to bleed into each other. For my card I used Tangerine Tango for my second color.
  4. Use this "custom" inkpad to ink your stamp.

Stampin_up_apple_of_my_eye_baby_wipe_carolpaynestamps_2 - Copy

I used my Circles Collection Framelits to cut the citus shapes. I hand-cut the banner ends with my Paper Snips.

Stampin_up_apple_of_my_eye_baby_wipe_carolpaynestamps_3 - Copy

Sentiments from That Thing You Did and a Gold Glimmer star punched with an Itty Bitty Accents Punch  are the finishing touches!

This card easily fits into a Medium Whisper White envelope!

Stampin’ Up! Stampers Dozen Blog Hop October Edition Thankfully Grateful!

Stampin’ Up! Stampers Dozen Blog Hop October Edition Thankfully Grateful!

Hey there! After last month's hard-drive failure, I'm so grateful to be back for the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop! The "Thankful/Grateful" theme goes hand-in-hand with how I feel : truly thankful for my family, my health, my faith, my church, and a job I love sharing papercrafting!

If you are already on the hop, you've just come from Stella MacKay's blog, Stellar Stamps. I loved Stella's creation this month, didn't you?

My creation today combines two of my favorite stamping techniques, Baby-Wipes and Triple Time!

I inked the "thanks" stamp from Seasonally Scattered with Cajun Craze, Hello Honey, and Baked Brown Sugar reinker that I dropped onto a baby wipe:

Stampin_up_seasonally_scattered_1

I was able to do ALL the stamping on ALL the Very Vanilla layers AND the envelope with just ONE inked-up baby wipe! I even stamped the Autumn Wooden Elements with the Seasonally Scattered stamp and/or pressed the element directly onto the inked baby wipe.

All Very Vanilla layers were embossed with the Honeycomb Textured Impressions folder, all three layers at the same time!

I hope to show you this gorgeous combined technique in a video soon!

Inside I used a From My Heart sentiment:

Stampin’ Up! Wonderful Wreath with Baby Wipes!

Stampin’ Up! Wonderful Wreath with Baby Wipes!

I had a good day of playing with my stamps on Wednesday. Mainly I worked on projects for my classes this weekend (which I still have some room in the Saturday classes from 1-6, by the way), but after playing with the Wonderful Wreath stamp for a Christmas Card I decided to back up a bit and use this stamp for a fall card too:

Fall wonderful wreath

I used the Baby Wipe Technique to ink the stamp with Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry, Rich Razzleberry, and Old Olive! I used the Beautiful Baroque Textured Impressions folder on the Cajun Craze layer. Before attaching the Cherry Cobbler 1/2" Seam Binding bow with a Glue Dot I moistened the ends of the ribbon and crumpled them with my fingers. The greeting, "thanks is for giving" is from Seasonal Sayings. I cut it out with one of the Apothecary Accents Framelits Dies. After matting the greeting with an Early Espresso label the same size but cut in half to "stretch" it, I added a Cherry Cobbler Candy Dot to each side of the "thanks".

Wonderful wreath 2
Inside the card I inked the Wonderful Wreath stamp with the Baby Wipe pad to stamp the wreath again. I stamped a phrase from Field Flowers inside the wreath.

This card will be one of the 6 cards we will be making at my "Falling Into Fall" Card Class on Friday, October 18th from 1-9 p.m. Class fee is a low $10 to make all 6 cards with envelopes. Class is free with a $25 order.

Online Order Option: You will receive the 6 completed cards via SNAIL mail when you place your order of at least $25 in my Online Store using this Hostess Code: 2A3JZMXZ Your order must be submitted by Midnight, October 18, 2013 to qualify.

That's all for now! Thanks so much for stopping in today! Unti tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!
