Stampin’ Up! 11% Off For My 11th Anniversary!

Stampin’ Up! 11% Off For My 11th Anniversary!

Hey there! Today is my 11th Anniversary as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator! yay!

I knew when I read the Stampin' Up! recruit brochure in the fall of 2002 that Stampin' Up! might be a good "fit" for me because I got a warm, fuzzy feeling in the bottom of my tummy. Ever get those? For me they usually signal I need to pay attention to whatever is causing this pleasant sensation: a good book, an inspiring movie, a fun day with my family. Stampin' Up! isn't my first priority, God and my family take the first two spots, but after that Stampin' Up! IS one of my favorite things!

Anyway, since today is my 11th Anniversary, and it is also the 11th of November, I decided to give all of my stamping friends an 11% discount on anything they order TODAY ONLY!

You will have to contact me direct at 618-237-6281 or carol@carolpaynestamps.com to place your order. This order can't be placed online to take advantage of the discount. You can also Facebook message me: Carol Payne Stamps

Just go to my website: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net to check out the catalogs (if you don't have them, LET ME KNOW and I can pop them in the mail to you!)

This offer expires at Midnight CDT tonight!

Now, for a little eye-candy, here's a gorgeous card created by my downline, Linda Reaney:

Stampin_up_secret_garden_watercolor
Linda found inspiration from a card on Pinterest, then pulled stamps from several Stampin' Up! stamps set to create her version!

So far I've identified Secret Garden, Oh Hello, World Treasures, Fabulous Florets, En Francais, Stippled Blossoms, and Field Flowers. There may be more, what do you see?

Linda finished off her card with some Crumb Cake ribbon and a Very Vanilla Vintage Designer Button. Lovely!

Today is also the last day for this Weekly Deal:

You CAN combine these 25% off sale items with my 11% Off Anniversary Sale, so contact me ASAP!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Wonderful Wreath with Baby Wipes!

Stampin’ Up! Wonderful Wreath with Baby Wipes!

I had a good day of playing with my stamps on Wednesday. Mainly I worked on projects for my classes this weekend (which I still have some room in the Saturday classes from 1-6, by the way), but after playing with the Wonderful Wreath stamp for a Christmas Card I decided to back up a bit and use this stamp for a fall card too:

Fall wonderful wreath

I used the Baby Wipe Technique to ink the stamp with Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry, Rich Razzleberry, and Old Olive! I used the Beautiful Baroque Textured Impressions folder on the Cajun Craze layer. Before attaching the Cherry Cobbler 1/2" Seam Binding bow with a Glue Dot I moistened the ends of the ribbon and crumpled them with my fingers. The greeting, "thanks is for giving" is from Seasonal Sayings. I cut it out with one of the Apothecary Accents Framelits Dies. After matting the greeting with an Early Espresso label the same size but cut in half to "stretch" it, I added a Cherry Cobbler Candy Dot to each side of the "thanks".

Wonderful wreath 2
Inside the card I inked the Wonderful Wreath stamp with the Baby Wipe pad to stamp the wreath again. I stamped a phrase from Field Flowers inside the wreath.

This card will be one of the 6 cards we will be making at my "Falling Into Fall" Card Class on Friday, October 18th from 1-9 p.m. Class fee is a low $10 to make all 6 cards with envelopes. Class is free with a $25 order.

Online Order Option: You will receive the 6 completed cards via SNAIL mail when you place your order of at least $25 in my Online Store using this Hostess Code: 2A3JZMXZ Your order must be submitted by Midnight, October 18, 2013 to qualify.

That's all for now! Thanks so much for stopping in today! Unti tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Field Flowers Card Box!

Stampin’ Up! Field Flowers Card Box!

It's Saturday and we've had one good night home from the hospital. Alisa & Cody are exhausted from the ordeal of worry and care for Oakley. We are hoping they will get caught up on their rest just a little bit (but who really rests with a newborn?) Lots of napping going on around here!

Here's Alisa & Oakley before they left the Cardinal Glennon NICU:

Oakley in nicu

Oakley's next blood test and doctor's appointment is scheduled for Monday. Please pray his numbers stay down and they can settle into a normal new-baby routine.

I thought I would try to show you a new swap today. I have swaps from the two organized swaps I participated in at convention, but haven't had any time to take pictures of them yet. My downline and friends swapped them for me.

Today's swap is from the second monthly swap I joined recently. This is from the June swap. I did not get to participate in the July swap because of all the Oakley excitement.

This swap is a "card box" created with the Field Flowers set and Pink Pirouette cardstock:

Field flowers box 2

The greeting is from the Hostess set, Banner Greetings.

Field flowers box 1
Not a particularly mail-able card, but a candybar would fit in here nicely, don't you think?

That's all for now. Tomorrow is Sunday Swap Day. I know I've almost only shown you swaps this month, but I hope you can forgive me for that since we've had so much going on. I hope to get back to creating next week if all continues to go well with Oakley.

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Pleasant Poppies!

Stampin’ Up! Pleasant Poppies!

Today I am featuring a new background stamp, Pleasant Poppies! For the first time with this new catalog several of our background stamps are available in both clear and wood mount, and this is one of them! My downline, Angela Henson, created this card as one of her swaps for convention. Angela has only been a demonstrator since March 2011, but already has promoted from Associate, to Senior Associate, Supervisor, Senior Supervisor, and now Manager! I am so proud of her! She also used the sentiment from "Field Flowers", Pumpkin Pie cardstock and ink, and the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.

Shannon Bradley stamped the poppies on First Edition Specialty Designer Paper with Cherry Cobbler ink, then complemented it with Cherry Cobbler 1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon, Cherry Cobbler Regals brads, and a Lots of Tags Sizzlet tag! She also embossed the "get well" phrase from "Perfectly Penned" in Pewter Embossing Powder before punching with the Extra Large Oval Punch.

Shoni Matney stamped the poppies in Summer Starfruit ink before adding all the butterfly layers using the "Beautiful Butterflies" Bigz Die with Summer Starfruit & Midnight Muse cardstocks, Patio Party DSP, and a Windowsheet! She added the "things of you" from "Sweet Essentials".
