Stampin’ Up! Geometrical Cheer Up! Owl!

Stampin’ Up! Geometrical Cheer Up! Owl!

Hey there! I'm back again today with another card using the Geometrical stamp set and the Owl Builder Punch. I think I'm a little obsessed, but the phrases in this set are just so different from anything we've had in awhile, I'm really diggin' it! Stampin_up_geometrical_owl_buttercup
I started with a cardbase of Coastal Cabana, then added a layer of Soft Suede that I embossed with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Folder. Before I embossed the Soft Suede, however, I stamped the tree branch from Take Care with Early Espresso ink so I would have something for my little owl to sit on!

Today's owl is Early Espresso with a vest of Retro Fresh Designer Paper and those adorable Gold Sequin Trim eyes!

I inked the "cheer up buttercup" stamp from Geometrical with my Tangerine Tango, Coastal Cabana, and Early Espresso Stampin' Write Markers, then stamped on a scrap of Naturals Ivory. I cut it out with one of the Word Bubbles Framelit Dies in the Occasions Catalog, then mounted it above the owl with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Stampin_up_geometrical_peachy_keen

Inside I simply inked "you're Peach keen" from the Peachy Keen stamp set with the same markers. Those cute little "arrowheads" are inked with the same colors too and mimic the designer paper vest on the owl! I love the way Stampin' Up! coordinates several different products into a "suite"! You will find all this suite on pages 18-19 of the New Occasions Catalog.

That's all for now! Tomorrow is my "Yes, Mam! Stampers" downline meeting and I am prepping this card for the Shoebox Swap! yay!

Stampin’ Up! Sneak Peek See Ya Later!

Stampin’ Up! Sneak Peek See Ya Later!

Hey there! I just got home really late from a fun shopping trip with Alisa and Oakley! This is the first time in a long time I actually had a chance to shop the January Clearance sales. Oh boy! Things were so cheap it seemed like they were practically paying ME to take their stuff home!

Seriously, I am stocked for future baby shower gifts for a long time, as well as picked up some adorable things for the grandboys as they grow! I got a really cute coat for me at Macy's, and then went a little crazy at JoAnn's with flannel! When I get my projects done I will be sure to show you all, I promise! I'm making the flannel a year-long project, in between stamping, of course!

Sale-a-bration will be here before we know it, just 12 more days to be exact! So since I spent my day shopping instead of stamping, I decided to dip into my stash of swaps to share a few with you that were created with the Sale-a-bration stamp set, See Ya Later:

Stampin_up_see_ya_later_3 Whisper White, Coastal Cabana, Crumb Cake, and Real Red makes a pleasing color combo, don't you think? Deco Label Framelits were used to cut out the layers and Real Red 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain is the perfect finishing touch! This card was created by Denise Sullivan.

Stampin_up_see_ya_later_1 Kathy Johnson paired the Cupcake Builder Punch with the See Ya Later birthday greeting. The additon of the Early Espresso gives a yummy look to this card!

Stampin_up_see_ya_later_5

Last but definitely not least, Carla Starry used the Sale-a-bration  See Ya Later, Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper, and the Decorative Dots folder, combining with Basic Black cardstock for some pop! The birthday phrase is cut out with one of the Apothecary Accent Dies.

Well, that's all for  now! You will soon be able to choose one of these Sale-a-braion products with your $50 order. If you need to place an order now, just go HERE.

My eyes are so heavy I'm about to nod off right here on the couch!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Remembering Your Birthday Class Handout Posted!

Hey there! Later today I will be getting on the plane to fly to Houston, TX for the 2014 Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference! Am I ready? You bet I'm ready!

Do I have swaps? Check!

Am I packed? Check!

Keep me in your thoughts & prayers on Thursday. I'm sure my nerves will kick in, even though I'm ready with my samples, my Powerpoint, and my presentation, it's still so exciting and nerve-wracking!

Today I have another class hand-out, with all the directions and dimensions, this time for the Sprinkly Pink Birthday Day card we made last week and I posted HERE in October of 2013 ( oh my, has it really been that long since I made that card?)

Stampin’ Up! Sweetheart Treat Bags!

Stampin’ Up! Sweetheart Treat Bags!

Hey there! Brrrrr! It was extremely cold here this morning! My hubby had to take a day trip to Kentucky early today, so I was in charge of keeping our woodstove going while he was gone. I had to go out to our storage building to get a few things I had moved there during Christmas (stamping related, of course!) and when I tried to open the door the handle was frozen and I couldn't get back in my nice warm house! Eeek! Well, I just had to laugh, because I'm standing there IN MY JAMMIES absolutely freezing! I thought I might have to go knock on a window for one of my sleeping sons to let me in, but after a few hard whacks with my fist the ice that was keeping the door handle button from moving broke off and I was able to ope the door! Whew!

Today I have a treat bag that could be used for a birthday or for Valentine's Day:

Stampin_up_sweetheart_treat_bags_1

I used the Sweetheart Treat Bags that ae only available until January 27th. The pack includes 12 heart sacks, 12 die-cut labels, and 12 pre-cut pieces of Pool Party Baker's Twine. The item code is #134610 and they are only $4.95.

Here's the entire flyer with all of the Whole Lot of Love products:

Download Flyer_wholelotoflove_demo_12.1-1.27.2014_US-1

I added a bit of Basic Black 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon around the bag, then wrapped the Pool Party Baker's Twine. I stamped the die-cut label with one of the stamps from the Love You to the Moon stamp set in the Occasions Catalog (which you can start ordering from in just a few short hours!)

Inside I used the new Scalloped Tag Topper Punch to create insert to attach a treat:

Stampin_up_timeless_talk_1

I used a stamp from Timeless Talk, stamped in Jet Black StazOn ink and colored with Pool Party and Real Red Stampin' Write Markers. I punched two more Scalloped Tags and adhered them to the back of the Whisper White tag for stability and to give it more sturdiness when the candy was glue-dotted onto it.

A tip about the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch and the Angled Tag Topper Punch, both in the Occasions Catalog: Cut your carstock just slightly less than 2 inches wide to be able to slide it perfectly into the guide tht is part of the punch. Another handy feature of these punches is how they also punch the slot/opening to thread the string/ribbon.

Here's the back side of the treat insert. I adhered a punched Scallop Circle that I had also stamped with another Timeless Talk image:

Stampin_up_timeless_talk_3

Here's another version, stamped again with Timeless Talk:

Stampin_up_timeless_talk_2

Well, that's all for now. Most likely by the time you read this the Occasions Catalog will be live and you can go to my Online Store to view it and shop:

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day! Giftcards Galore!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day! Giftcards Galore!

Hey there! Hope you are enjoying the time between Christmas and New Year's. We have our nephew, Nathan, and his sweet wife, Laura Beth, with us from Murfreesboro, TN, for a few days, so we are enjoying their visit!

After showing you all of the Christmas gift card holders, I still have a few non-Christmas ones left. Today's post is all about gift card holders!

This first one was created with the Monstermaniacs stamp set( #134972 $14.95):

Stampin_up_monstermainiacs_1

Monstermaniacs is not shown in any catalog, but you can download the flyer with all of the zany images here:

Download US_In_with_you_Flyer_Monstermaniacs_1013

134972L

The Pop 'n Cuts Bigz L Die was also used to create the gift card holder, along with Bermuda Bay cardstock and Birthday Basics Designer Paper. "Happy Birthday" is from the Remembering Your Birthday stamp set.

Stampin_up_monstermaniacs_2

This masculine gift card holder was made with the Remembering Christmas stamp set from the Holiday Catalog (and only available for a few more days! After January 2nd, it is gone, maybe forever.)

Stampin_up_remembering_christmas_1

The Woodgrain Textured Impressions folder was used on the Early Espresso cardstock, and the "thinking of you" is from the Wetlands stamp set. Susie Wood is the creator of this card. She used the Envelope Punch Board in a different way to create a card instead of an envelope!

Stampin_up_remembering_christmas_2

Speaking of Wetlands, this card is a beautiful example of the use of that set!

Marina Mist, Baked Brown Sugar, and Very Vanilla come together with  Midnight Muse and Baked Brown Sugar ink to create a masculine but very attractive card.

Stampin_up_wetlands_1

The Painter's Tape technique was used for the background behind the goose.

Stampin_up_wetlands_2

Inside the slot for the gift card was punched with the Word Window Punch.

Here's another gift card holder using the Remembering Your Birthday stamps and Birthday Basics Designer Paper again:

Stampin_up_remembering_your_birthday_1

The bow was created with the Gift Bow Bigz Die from the Holiday Catalog. If you were waiting to order this die later, DON'T WAIT! As far as I know, this die will no longer be available after January 2nd! It might come back in the new catalog in June, but there's no guarantee!

Stampin_up_remembering_your_birthday_2

The Word Window Punch was used again for the gift card slot.

Here's a couple more that are not gift card holders, but I just couldn't resist including them for you today:

Stampin_up_chalk_talk_1

Lots of punches used to create the clown, along with Chalk Talk stamps and framelits, Polka Dot Parade Designer Paper, and the Stripes Textured Impressions Folder!

Lastly, this cute card was created using the Zoo Review stamp set, Soft Sky, Whisper White, and Basic Black cardstock, Circle Collection Framelits, and Soft Sky 1/2" Seam Binding.

Stampin_up_zoo_review_1

The penguin stamp in Zoo Review is actually just one single penguin. The creator of this card stamped the center bird first, then covered it with a mask before stamping the same stamp on either side of it. "You Can Never Have Too Much Happy" is from the Yippee-Skippee! stamp set.

There you go! SIX cards for today! How do you like that?
