Hey there! I had an open Saturday (something that RARELY happens for me) so I was able to stamp for fun! I went with a group of my stampers to Gigi's Retreat in Dix IL! I highy recommend it. Tonya really spoils you with good food, snacks, tons of paper crafting supplies at your fingertips, and a gorgeous place to craft!

We are off to Effingham to day for Cohen's baptism. He and his cousin, Justus, are being baptised by their Hollis grandpa, so Mark & I are going up for the service.

Today I have a few more swaps to share before some of the products completely retire:

Hey there. I have another card to share with you today that I created a few weeks ago but just haven't had time to show you yet. I "think" today's card doesn't have a single retiring product on it, but let's check to make sure, shall we?

I embossed the greeting from Another Great Year (carrying over to the NEW 2014-2015 Catalog!) with White Stampin' Emboss Powder before applying the color to the Watercolor Paper.

Whoops! I DID use Midnight Muse ink and cardstock, which is retiring! =(  This color can be substituted with Night of Navy and would still blend well on the Watercolor Paper with the Pool Party and Baked brown Sugar. All colors were applied to wet Watercolor Paper with an AquaPainter dipped directly into ink refills.

As a final touch I splashed a few drops of water onto the paper and then allowed the water to just settle into the color.

Sponging around the edges of the inside and the outside pulls the color from the Midnight Muse layer into the creation.

This card uses Another Great Year, Gold Fancy Foil Vellum, Gold heat embossing, Gold Foil Sheets, and the free-for-a couple-more-weeks punch, Banner Punch!

Next we will be making this quick and cute little card using  a greeting from A Dozen Thoughts, Watercolor Wonder Washi Tape, and the Bitty Butterfly punch:

Inside is a sentiment from the Express Yourself Hostess set and another Gold Foil Bitty Butterfly:

This happy card is created with Soft Suede, Brushed Gold, Whisper White cardstocks, Happy Watercolor greeting, cut out with an Apothecary Accents Framelit Die, and Watercolor Wonder Washi Tape.

Inside is a sentiment from the free-when-you-order $50 Sale-a-bration set, See Ya Later, stamped with Gold Mettalic Encore ink:

Make a Wish stamped in Jet Black Stazon with a trimmed leaf from the Bird Builder Punch for the candle flame. A stamp from Gorgeous Grunge is stamped with Silver Metallic Encore ink, as well as a star from the SAB set, Banner Blast. Gold Foil stars punched with one of the Merry Minis Punch Pack finishes it off:

"Congratulations" from Sassy Salutations, accented with a star cut out with one of the Circle Card Framelit Dies, then filled in with Gold Foil gives this card a lot of "pop"! Two of the corners were rounded with the corner rounder on the Envelope Punch board. Single Gold Sequins un-strung from the Gold Sequin Trim finish it off:

Finallly, what's a congratualtions card without a graduation sentiment, this one from Pure Gumption:

Hey there! I've had a really sweet day stamping with all the girls who came to stamp with me at the Happiest Day Class today! Here's another one of the projects, along with the class handout for you to download:

This is a card inspired by a swap I received, however, I do not have the creator's name. If you know who the original creator of this card is, please let me know! The card base is Smoky Slate, layered with one of the designs in the Watercolor Wonder Designer Paper. After punching with the Envelope Punch Board and cutting off the tabs with the Paper Trimmer, we layered a Tea Lace Doily, Pear Pizzazz 3/4' Chevron Ribbon, a Wild Wasabi 1 1/4" Scallop Circle, and then the greeting from Another Great Year, cut with one of the Apothecary Accents Framelits.

Hey there! We had a fun class here on New Year's day. Everyone enjoyed the projects and I am looking forward to doing it again on Friday and Saturday!

I started prepping for the one workshop I have before I go to Leadership. My time is rather squeezed with the samples I need to make for my presentation, not to mention the swaps I would like to have ready to take with me, so I turned to the monthly swap I participate in for inspiration for the workshop.

This card was created by Jackie Ordway using the Another Great Year stamp set from the Occasions Catalog:

Jackie heat embossed the image with Gold embossing powder and the Heat Tool. She also used Gold Fancy Foil Designer Vellum, Gold Foil Sheets, and Gold Baker's Twine.

Most swaps are blank inside, so I stamped the inside:

I basically followed Jackie's lead from the front of the card to gold emboss this phrase from Another Great Year. I love the little cupcake, also from Another Great Year, that I embossed in the lower corner!
