Stampin’ Up! Pattern Play Shaker Card #2!

Hey there! I made another version of Magenta Madness Pattern Play card I shared with you HERE. Today's card has the same layout as those but I used a different print from the Artistry Blooms Designer Series Paper pack. I cut the frame around the shaker with a Stitched Rectangle Die.

This one would be a good one for a masculine birthday. I used more of the Sequins For Everything, which are still available from the Holiday Catalog see the supply list below) to put inside the Clear Medium Envelope I used to create the "shaker".

I stamped the "CUE THE Confetti" greeting with Versamark then embossed with white powder and my heat tool.

Inside I used another sentiment from Pattern Play, stamped with Night of Navy ink. The sparkles are stamped with Granny Apple Green. I added a 1/2" narrow strip of the same Artistry Blooms paper to coordinate the inside with the front.

Bermuda Bay base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored & folded at 4 1/4" (landscape)

Night of Navy frame: 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"

Artistry Blooms layer: 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" inside strip: 1/2" x 4 3/4"

Inside Basic White layer: 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"

Stampin’ Up! Wonder of the Season Shakers!

Hey there! I wanted to feature the gorgeous foil designs of the Wonder of the Season Specialty paper, so paired it with sentiments and images from Perfectly Plaid:

I let the Wonder of the Season Designer paper do the work! I also used the next-to-largest Stitched Rectangles die to cut the Cherry Cobbler frame I adhered to the front with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

I used a red foil print for my second shaker with Shaded Spruce for the base and frame. I used a few pinches of both red and green Sequins for Everything inside the Clear Envelope:

I punched the Cherry Cobbler clear-embossed Perfectly Plaid greeting with the Story Label, and added a Shaded Spruce Holiday Rhinestone for a bit more bling. I also embossed the frame with the Winter Snow embossing folder and then brayered with White Craft ink to make the flakes subtly "pop"!

I used this Perfectly Plaid sentiment and the plaid tree inside.

Stampin’ Up! Pattern Play Shaker Cards!

Hey there! I decided to make a couple of birthday cards with the red/pink Sequins for Everything:

The first one is the basic clear-envelope shaker:

I white heat-embossed the greeting and some sparkles directly on a piece of Artistry Blooms Designer Series Paper. Placement is important with this step so your sentiment doesn't get lost in the print of the paper.

For the second card I decided to add a frame by cutting a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" piece of Magenta Madness with the second-largest Stitched Rectangle Die. I adhered to the clear envelope with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals:

As you can see, my placement of the sentiment on this card "pops" much more than the first!

Stampin’ Up! Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop August Edition Shakin’ It Up with Shaker Cards!

Hey there! Welcome to the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop! Our theme this month is "Shakin' It Up with Shaker Cards!" As you visit each blog on the hop you will see lots of fun ideas and probably learn a tip or two along the way!

I decided to use the new "Shake & Celebrate' from the upcoming Holiday Catalog, which you can order from on September 1st. I also gave this card to my daughter, Kimberly, for her birthday! I love it when a project does "double-duty" for me!

With my box of Holiday Catalog pre-order on hand, it was fun to play with new stuff while creating!

After cutting the four cake layers all at once with a new Shaker Shapes Framelit, which is bundled with the Shake & Celebrate stamp set, I then embossed the Sweet Sugarplum layer with the new Pretty Paisleys folder. I stamped the cake stand with Rich Razzleberry ink.

To give a look of frosting, I added lines of connected pearls, included in the Pearls Basic Jewels Embellishment pack. So handy when you don't want to have to take the time to place a lot of pearls in a row!

I covered the openings with a window sheet, framed the cake outline with Foam Adhesive Strips, then added a mixture of Metallic Sequins and Holiday Catalog Mica Flakes! After removing the backing from the foam strips I added a square of scrap white card stock to close up the window before adhering to the card front.

Inside I used a sentiment from Grateful Bunch and added blooms from the Holiday Catalog set, Paisleys and Posies.

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Fiesta!

Hey there! The Birthday Fiesta llama is soooooo cute! I just had to have him!

I wanted to make a shaker card, so I used the easel fold to display it!

I used almost every product in the Festive Birthday Suite (pgs 10-11 Annual Catalog): Birthday Fiesta, Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper, Fiesta Time Framelits Dies (bundled with Birthday Fiesta stamps to save 10%!), and Festive Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

I used a Window Sheet for the shaker, new Sprinkles Punch, Brights Sequins Assortment,and new Layering Ovals Framelits.

Mr. Llama is so shaggy it would be difficult to smoothly hand-cut, but it's a snap with the framelit from the Fiesta Time Framelits!

I cut a Melon Mambo "blanket" for Mr. Llama with a Fiesta Time framelit, then stamped and white-heat-embossed the design.

I cut a Pumpkin Pie banner with the framelit, then white-heat-embossed the images, reminiscent of Mexican Folk Art "Papel Picado". You can read about papel picado HERE.

I embossed the Emerald Envy and Festive Birthday layers with the Festive folder.

I cut and layered "Fiesta like there's no Manana" with new Layering Ovals Framelits. I love the cactus image too!
