Stampin’ Up! Driving By for Cohen!

Hey there! I'm back again after a pause, I know these keep happening, but I have not yet been able to figure out a way to prevent them. This time I've was swamped with prepping for classes, babysitting, and prepping cards and my house to host our family's January and February birthday celebration. I had 6 special birthday cards to create, which you will be getting a chance to see over the next few days, starting with today's card for my 14 yr-old grandson, Cohen.

I created Cohen's card with two retiring Sale-a-bration items, the Driving By stamp set and Sunshine & Rainbows 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper. I used a double z-fold so I could put the sports car on a road!

I colored the car and balloons with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers, colored around them with a Light Pool Party Stampin' Blends, cut it out, then added Shimmery Crystal Effects to the car for shine!

The clouds from the Sunshine & Rainbows Designer paper can be punched with the Cloud Punch, but since I haven't ordered the Cloud punch yet I simply cut it out with my Paper Snips.

I used a simple birthday sentiment from the Art Gallery stamp set. I created the road with Basic Black card stock and a White Stampin' Chalk Marker.

Stampin’ Up! Mountain Air!

Hey there! Today I have a birthday card to share with you that I created with the Mountain Air stamp set, Majestic Mountain dies, and the Evergreen Border Punch!

I used the Double Z-fold for this masculine card.

I used sentiments from the Best Year stamp set with Tuxedo Black ink.

I stamped the mountains with both Smoky Slate and Night of Navy ink, and the treeline with Evening Evergreen. I stamped the clouds with stamped-off Smoky Slate, and colored the sky with a Light Balmy Blue Stampin' Blend. I cut out a tree from Evening Evergreen card stock with a Majestic Mountain die.

Not much room to sign this one, so I will put a Basic White layer on the back.

Stampin’ Up! Pattern Play Shaker Card #2!

Hey there! I made another version of Magenta Madness Pattern Play card I shared with you HERE. Today's card has the same layout as those but I used a different print from the Artistry Blooms Designer Series Paper pack. I cut the frame around the shaker with a Stitched Rectangle Die.

This one would be a good one for a masculine birthday. I used more of the Sequins For Everything, which are still available from the Holiday Catalog see the supply list below) to put inside the Clear Medium Envelope I used to create the "shaker".

I stamped the "CUE THE Confetti" greeting with Versamark then embossed with white powder and my heat tool.

Inside I used another sentiment from Pattern Play, stamped with Night of Navy ink. The sparkles are stamped with Granny Apple Green. I added a 1/2" narrow strip of the same Artistry Blooms paper to coordinate the inside with the front.

Dimensions:

Bermuda Bay base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored & folded at 4 1/4" (landscape)

Night of Navy frame: 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"

Stampin’ Up! Epic Celebrations for Sale-a-bration!

Hey there! The card I want to share with you today uses another set from the Sale-a-bration brochure, Epic Celebrations. I combined it with the Hardwood Background and the "flex fold" technique to create this:

You can faintly see the tennis shoes stamped over the Hardwood with stamped-off Crumb Cake.

I stamped the "you're awesome". also from Epic Celebrations, repeatedly on the Very Vanilla strip with stamped-off Crumb Cake, then added the splotches with full-strength Crumb Cake. The tennis shoes and headphones are stamped with Basic Black.

I punched the Basic Black-stamped "here's to an epic celebration" with a 1 1/4" Circle Punch, then backed it with a Basic Black 1 3/8" Scallop Circle.

Inside I repeated the Hardwood, splotches, and tennis shoes with Crumb Cake, followed by Stylized Birthday stamped with Basic Black.

The Flex-fold fun fold measures 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4" and 6 3/8" along the 8 1/2" side. The Crumb Cake front layer is 4" x 5 1/4", matching the Crumb Cake inside layer. I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the front layer just to the narrow fold of the Basic Black card front.

Stampin’ Up! Traveler for Tony’s Birthday!

Hey there! Today I'm sharing with you the card I made for my son-in-law Tony's birthday. I took the layout and mechanics of the card I made for Maddie Kate (see her card here) and flipped it around to create this with the Traveler and World Map stamps:

I used Tip Top Taupe, Early Espresso, and Very Vanilla for my color palette.

Guy Greetings for the sentiments, and a Silver Basic Metal Button tied with a bit of Linen Thread for my only embellishment:

The 1/4" Early Espresso Cotton Ribbon I used for the "pull" is on sale right now as part of the Weekly Deals!

After wrapping the gift with the Festive Kraft wrapping paper (be sure to find it on the Clearance Rack), adding the card to the top of the package made a ribbon unnecessary.
