Stampin’ Up! Rustic Garden Birdhouses Ornament and One More!

Stampin’ Up! Rustic Garden Birdhouses Ornament and One More!

Hey there! I thought I was done making Stitched Stars Ornaments to share with you, but I decided to make one more using Garden Birdhouses again with a "rustic" look, then I found one more I had made with the Stars Are Shining that I hadn't shared yet, so here we are! lol!

IMG_3081 (2)

I used Early Espresso and In Good Taste Designer Paper for the stars base, then stamped the birdhouse on Crumb Cake with Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin' Blends. Hand-cut with Paper Snips, I think when I make a bunch of these for the craft fair I will just stamp them on wood-grain designer paper (lighter than the base) to save time. I used strokes of Color Lifter to give this one a bit of a wood-grain look. I also added Clear Wink of Stella to all of the Sprig-punched Mossy Meadow for some shine.

IMG_3083

On the back I added a sentiment from Words of Cheer, double-punched with the Tailored Tag to make it a bit narrower.

IMG_3084 (2)

This Misty Moonlight Stitched Stars Ornament features The Stars Are Shining stamp set silver heat-embossed!

Stampin_up_stars_are_shining_carolpaynestamps1 (2)

Punching out one of the stars with the Starlit Punch and adding Rhinestone Basic Jewels and Silver Swirls adds more sparkle.

Stampin_up_stars_are_shining_carolpaynestamps2

The silver heat embossed sentiment is straight from The Stars Are Shining stamp set!

Whew! Finally done! Come back tomorrow for a calendar idea!

Stampin’ Up! Misty Moonlight Stitched Stars!

Stampin’ Up! Misty Moonlight Stitched Stars!

Hey there! I'm back again today with a few more Stitched Stars Christmas Ornaments! I have more ideas rolling around in my head, but I had Alisa's girls here for a big chunk of the day so I was only able to create while Avara was napping. After they left I worked for a little while but then finished up a supper I was taking to Logan & Faith. Every time one of my kid's families has Covid I take them a supper one night while they are in quarantine.

My ornaments today are very similar to the one's I shared yesterday, but I switched to Misty Moonlight and Silver for my colors. I also have one lone ornament to share at the end that is different. You'll see!

Stampin_up_misty_moonlight_stitched_stars_carolpaynestamps5

I used Misty Moonlight card stock and 2020-2022 In Color Designer Series Paper along with the Silver heat embossing and Silver Foil to cut the swirls. "Joy to the World" from Stars Are Shining.

Stampin_up_misty_moonlight_stitched_stars_carolpaynestamps6

I did the same omitting of some of the phrases to get the sentiments to fit. "Glory to God" from Great Tidings.

Stampin_up_misty_moonlight_stitched_stars_carolpaynestamps8

"Sending Peace & Joy" from Great Tidings.

Stampin_up_misty_moonlight_stitched_stars_carolpaynestamps9

On the backs of all of these I embossed "The Stars Are Shining Brightly" from Stars Are Shining.

Stampin_up_misty_moonlight_stitched_stars_carolpaynestamps7

Here's the placement for the Stampin' Dimensionals and Mini Stampin' Dimensionals I use to adhere the Simply Elegant Trim ornament hanger and to adhere the backing star to the ornaments.

Stampin_up_misty_moonlight_stitched_stars_carolpaynestamps1

My final ornament for today was created with the Knit Together Bundle!

Stampin_up_misty_moonlight_stitched_stars_carolpaynestamps2-1

I adhered an adhesive sheet to the back of the Misty Moonlight card stock before cutting with the Knit Sweater dies. This made adhering the tiny pieces to the Basic White star a snap! "CHRISTMAS" is from the Bright Baubles stamp set.

Stampin_up_misty_moonlight_stitched_stars_carolpaynestamps3

I am impressed with how realistic the Knit Together stamped image looks!

Stampin’ Up! Simply Elegant Stitched Stars!

Stampin’ Up! Simply Elegant Stitched Stars!

Hey there! Today I have a set of ornaments I created with the Stitched Stars dies and sentiments from Great Tidings and Stars Are Shining:

Stampin_up_stitched_stars_carolpaynestamps1

This sentiment from Stars Are Shining fits perfectly inside this star! I heat embossed with copper powder.

Stampin_up_stitched_stars_carolpaynestamps2

The middle star layer is cut from a print from the Simply Elegant Designer Paper. This sentiment is a partial of "Glory to God in the Highest" from Great Tidings.

Stampin_up_stitched_stars_carolpaynestamps3

"Sending Peace & Joy" has the words "to you" omitted to fit the star.

Stampin_up_stitched_stars_carolpaynestamps4

I added copper foil swirls to each one, cut with a Stitched Stars die.

Stampin_up_stitched_stars_carolpaynestamps5

The die cuts the full swirl, which I cut in half and then added between the layers with glue dots.

Stampin_up_stitched_stars_carolpaynestamps7

I backed each ornament with a full star of copper foil.

Stampin’ Up! Christmas Cards From Friends!

Stampin’ Up! Christmas Cards From Friends!

Hey there! We are still hanging out at home, waiting for our quarantine time to pass. I still have plenty to do to get ready for our family Christmas next week, but I'm waiting to wrap until after I'm no longer contagious.

I've received some pretty cards in the mail from friends and customers, so I decided to share some of them today and tomorrow with you. Most of these today have been created with retired Stampin' Up! products, but it shows how timeless and lasting Stampin' Up! is!

First, my friend Becky Anderson created this pretty card with vellum and retired silver glimmer paper. She attached the vellum over the stamped snowflakes with strategically placed glue dots under the "peace" and the jewels.

IMG_1276 (2)

Norma Artman used Brightly Gleaming Specialty paper with the Christmas Gleaming Bundle (still available on the Year End Closeout List) The Brightly Gleaming Specialty paper and the Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack are both discounted 50%!

IMG_1275 (2)

Tina Biby combined retired designer series paper with the retiring Ornamental Envelopes Bundle of stamps and dies for her pretty creation. The Envelopes Dies are currently 40% off!

IMG_1271 (2)

Finally for today, my friend Crystal Lopez enjoys playing with products from many different companies. She sent me this super awesome slim-line shaker card!

IMG_1278 (2)

Hard to believe tomorrow is Christmas Eve! Very different around here this year, but I'm still thankful we are doing as well as we are and that there is light at the end of our tunnel!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day on Tuesday December 22nd!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day on Tuesday December 22nd!

Hey there! I've been MIA for awhile now due to COVID. I, my husband, and son all tested positive last week, and while our symptoms have been considered mild, this virus is no picnic. Very tired and gastrointestinal upset has been my main symptoms. I had a much better nights' sleep and things feel better today, so I'm hoping I'm on the mend. Our family Christmas has been postponed to New Year's Day; I decided to not try to push myself too hard right away after getting out of quarantine on December 26.

I have a few more swaps to share with you that I think you will like! All of these are also gift card holders too!

First, Jenna Roby created a cube card with the Menagerie Mix-Up Bundle:

Stampin_up_menangerie_mix_up_carolpaynestamps1

The gift card can be added inside the top with glue dots.

Stampin_up_menangerie_mix_up_carolpaynestamps2

Kelly Acheson used the In the Pines Bundle with Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper for her gift card holder:

Stampin_up_in_the_pines_carolpaynestamps1

An easy little pocket created for the gift card.

Stampin_up_in_the_pines_carolpaynestamps2

Gail Connelly created a masterpiece gift card holder with the Snow Wonder stamp set:

Stampin_up_snow_wonder_carolpaynestamps1
She created the pocket with a punch.

Stampin_up_snow_wonder_carolpaynestamps2

Karen Kurz created her gift card holder with the Tree Angle stamp set and Stitched Triangle Dies:

Stampin_up_tree_angle_carolpaynestamps1

I love how she created a "forest" to tuck the gift card behind!

Stampin_up_tree_angle_carolpaynestamps2
Finally, Carol Slack used Warm & Toasty with In the Pines to create her "pop-up" gift card holder:

Stampin_up_warm_&_toasty_carolpaynestamps1

The polar bear is so cute!

Stampin_up_warm_&_toasty_carolpaynestamps2

Most of these projects were created with stamps, dies, and accessories that are retiring from the Holiday Catalog. You can find the complete list here:

Stampin’ Up! Holiday Happenings!

Stampin’ Up! Holiday Happenings!

Hey there and welcome to the December edition of the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop!

1723402_10152213035905070_85588169_n

Our December theme is "Holiday Happenings". Today I want to share with you some custom ornaments I created with my daughter to give to her kid's teachers with the Gnome for the Holidays and Way to Goat stamp sets!

First the Gnomes! I actually stamped and colored these little guys (and the goats) while creating the Merry Christmas banners I shared with you a while back. I stamped with Tuxedo Black ink and then colored with Stampin' Blends.

I adhered each one to a window sheet circle cut with a Layering Circles Die using glue dots. I added a matching Whisper White circle that I had printed "Christmas 2020" and the recipient's name. After punching a hole at the top I tied some white sewing thread to it so I could hold on to it while rolling it into a tube to fit through the top of the ornament. It popped back open easily!

IMG_1265

I tied the thread to the ornament wire, then tied some Real Red Sheer Ribbon for the hanger.

IMG_1266

Now for the goats! First the dad:

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day on Monday December 14th!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day on Monday December 14th!

Hey there! Another busy weekend. I try to stay ahead as much as I can, but always something comes along that gets me off-track. Family always comes first, so that's why I've been blogging my Sunday Swap Days on Monday so much lately.

Today I have a fun collection of gift card holders to share with you!

First, Emily Tull created her gift card holder with Plaid Tidings 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper and the Moose Punch, which are both on the Year-End Closeout Retiring List!

Stampin_up_merry_moose_carolpaynestamps

Next,  Laura Barto used the retiring Festive Post with the Evergreen Forest 3D embossing folder and the Rectangle Postage Punch for her gift card holder. The Mossy Meadow 3/8" Diagonal Stripe Ribbon is 50% off on the Year-End Closeout Retiring List.

Stampin_up_festive_post_carolpaynestamps1

This gift card holder pulls out:

Stampin_up_festive_post_carolpaynestamps2

And then flips open!

Barb Dykhouse created her gift card holder with the Tag Buffet stamp set (retiring), Red Foil Sheets, Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folders (retiring and 50% off), and Wonder of the Season Specialty Designer Paper (retiring and 50% 0ff)

Stampin_up_tag_buffet_carolpaynestamps1

It's a simple gift card:

Stampin_up_tag_buffet_carolpaynestamps2

Finally, Rhonda Bassler used the retiring Gnome for the Holidays with retiring-and-20% off 'Tis the Season 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper. She used Hippo & Friends dies from the Annual Catalog to cut the layers.

Stampin_up_gnome_for_the_holidays_carolpaynestamps1

It's easy to make a place for a gift card  by simply scoring, folding, and securing to make a pocket!
