Stampin’ Up! Pistachio Trim Tree!

Stampin’ Up! Pistachio Trim Tree!

Hey there! I just got home from a FUN workshop with some dear stampin' friends of mine! We stamped, ate, shared, and laughed ALOT! I am so priviledged to get to stamp with the White Street girls once a month!

Today's card is one I found inspiration from a Founder's Circle sample, so I have no idea who the creator was! It many have even been Stampin' Up! I CASED the idea, but then went ahead and made it almost completely my own:

Ribbon tree 1

This card turned out so cute, I'm really diggin' it!

Inside is stamped with more of the wording from the Wishing You set, as well as the tiny present in the lower right corner.

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day Fall Thankfulness!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day Fall Thankfulness!

Wow, what a FUN day I've had, stamping, laughing, and sharing with good friends!

Since I've spent my day stamping away but working on class kits for club members who were unable to attend this month, I do not have anything new to show you, so I'm relying on my stash of monthly swaps for today's post!

Laura Milligan created this card using the Pretty Print Textured Impressions Folder and the Harvest of Thanks stamp set. Laura used the new Deco Label Framelits to cut out the turkey image. I especially lke the way she spritzed (or splattered) the Early Espresso reinker over it as a finshing touch!

Laura miligan

Megan Wheeler did a beautiful job on her card using one of the Expressions Thinlets Dies and Sweater Weather Designer Series Paper!

Megan wheeler

And finally, Rhonda Bassler used the Pretty Print folder and Harvest of Thanks stamps with Sweater Weather Designer Paper. I love how there are so many different designs in each pack of paper, you can always find something to coordinate perfectly on your project! A bit of Burlap 1 1/4" Ribbon, a leaf cut from the Autumn Accents Die, and a greeting cut with an Itty Bitty Banners Framelit add texture and interest. Rhonda also cut out the "HARVEST of Blessings" image with an Apothercary Accents Framelit.

Stampin’ Up! Wetlands!

Stampin’ Up! Wetlands!

Good morning! Yesterday was a CRAZY day! A crazy but extremely fun day! During the course of the day I cared for all of my grandchildren except one, with 5 of the 6 at my house for the evening at the same time! Maddie Kate (who is 12), was the only one I didn't see today. Ava (who just turned 8 on Monday) was INVALUABLE help, let me tell ya! We had three babies needing diaper changes at just about the same time, so between Ava and my sweet hubby helping, we survived! Liam goes home with his mommy today around noon, and then we go to Ava's family birthday party tonight! After my classes on Saturday I think I need to have a collapse scheduled, but it may have to wait until Sunday afternoon. As long as it is accompanied by a nap, I think I can make it!

Understandably I did no new stamping yesterday, so I am relying on my collection of convention swaps to fill in the gap today, and I've a nice collection of Wetlands swaps for you today!

This first swap is by Deb McCahan. I believe Deb combined brayering and sponging to get this great sunset look! I have to confess when I first saw this set in the new catalog this set didn't particularly appeal to me because of the goose image, but it didn't take long for these little shorebirds to win me over, not to mention the great greetings this set has to offer.

Deb McCahan wetlands

Kathy Johnson went simple and masculine with the Canada goose image in this set.

Kathy Johnson wetlands

This swap has no name, which is a shame, because it's a good one! The creator combined By the Tide images with Wetlands to make a really well-done thinking of you card.

Wetlands by the tide

Last but definitely not least, Teresa Howe created this beauty by markering on a clear stamp block, spritzing with water, then stamping on the background layer to create the soft, watery look! The greeting is from the Express Yourself Hostess set.

Teresa howe wetlands

Well, that's all for today! I have to finish up by classes for tomorrow, so I need to get going!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day #3!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day #3!

Good morning! Hope you are having a good weekend! Today is "Sunday Swap Day", the day I share swaps I have received the previous month, so let's get started!

Our first card today was created by Renee Watson. Renee used a fun and easy technique to get more bang for your buck with embossing folders. She inked the raised side of the folder with Crisp Cantaloupe ink and  a brayer before laying the Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock directly on the folder and pressing gently. No Big Shot used for this technique, so if you LOVE the designs of our folders but do not own a Big Shot (yet!), you CAN use them anyway! So fun! I also love the faded and incomplete look of the inking with the folder. Gives this card a more casual feel!

Renee Watson hexagon honeycomb 1
Renee used the Six Sided Sampler Bundle for the "hello sweet friend" greeting and to punch the hexagons from Venetian Romance Designer Paper. A  Very Vintage Designer Button and a bit of Soft Suede 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon make the perfect finish!
Renee Watson hexagon honeycomb 2

Rhonda Bassler used Crisp Cantaloupe & Calypso Coral cardstocks with Everything Eleanor and A Dozen Thoughts stamp sets to create her feminine little pocket card. The Calypso Coral background was embossed with the Beautifully Barouque Textured Impressions Folder.

Rhonda bassler

To finish off our Crisp Cantaloupe/Calypso Coral day, Ruth Bingle created this fun card with the Gifts of Kindness stamp set, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Very Vintage Designer Button, and Calypso Coral 3/4" Chevron Ribbon!

That's all for now! See you tomorrow for another Stampingrox! day!
