Stampin’ Up! Envelope Punch Board File Folder Giftcardholder Tutorial and How to Tie a “Knot Bow”!

Stampin’ Up! Envelope Punch Board File Folder Giftcardholder Tutorial and How to Tie a “Knot Bow”!

Hey there! I'm a little late posting today, but I'm finishing up the final projects for my Christmas-Catch-Up Class and Customer Appreciation and wanted to share this tutorial with you for how to make this file folder gift card holder using the Stampin' Up! Envelope Punch Board:

Stampin_up_wishing_you_1

·         Stamps – Wishing You #131748 wood-mount $14.95 #131751 clear-mount $11.95

·         Card Stock –  Crumb Cake, Season of Style Designer Paper, Whisper White

·         Ink: Cherry Cobbler

·         Misc. – SNAIL Adhesive,  Envelope Punch Board #133774 $19.95, 1 ¾” Circle Punch, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Paper Snips, Glue Dots, Season of Style Designer Washi Tape, Crumb Cake Notecard Envelopes #131528 $5.50 (40 per pkg), Cherry Cobbler 1” Stitched Edge Ribbon

Envelope Punch Board File Folder Gift Card Holder Tutorial

C    Crumb Cake dimensions: 4 3/4" x 5", scored at 2 1/4 along the 5" side. This will make the front flap of your file folder narrower than the back flap.

Adhere 2 1/4" x 4 3/4" piece of Season of Style Designer Paper on corresponding flap with SNAIL.

Adhere Season of Style Designer Washi tape to the opposite flap.

       1. Line up the left corner of the paper with the left edge of the Envelope Punch Board punch as shown.

Punch once to start the curve of the folder tab.

Stampin_up_envelope_punch_file_folder_1

      2. Slide paper over to the 2 inch mark and punch again.

Stampin_up_envelope_punch_file_folder_2

      3. Line up the center of the punched "valley" with the trimmer blade track. Cut up from the center to the

top of the paper as shown.

Stampin_up_envelope_punch_file_folder_3

      4. Smooth out any rough edges with your fingernail or Paper Snips.

Stampin_up_envelope_punch_file_folder_4

      5. Repeat these steps for the back flap of folder, turning the paper over so you will be punching the

          opposite end.

Stampin_up_envelope_punch_file_folder_5

      6. Round remaining corners of the file folder with the corner-rounder punch of the outside edge of

          the punch board.

      7. This is your file folder card open and flat;

HOW TO TIE A PRETTY KNOT "BOW"

     1. Wrap right end of ribbon over left end. Pull left end up and right end down tightly (this is the beginning of the phrase you have probably hear before " right over left, left over right …")

Stampin_up_how_to_tie_a_knot_bow_1

    2. Bring top ribbon end down over bottom ribbon end as shown:

    3. Wrap top end down and around bottom end as shown. Pull top end through

the loop you created. Pull ends tightly.

      4. Trim ends at an angle with Craft Scissors.

That's all for now! Later than normal, but hopefully worth the wait!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day! More Giftcardholder Ideas!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day! More Giftcardholder Ideas!

Hey there! Last night my husband surprised me with tickets to see "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" at the Marion Civic Center! yay! I've been reading the book every Christmas to my family since my kids were little, and even though they are big kids now, they still love it! I do to! It was a sweet production. I always tear up when Gladys says "hey! Unto YOU a child is born!" Gives me goosebumps just writing it! It was nice to get out after being snowbound since Thursday. Roads, sidewalks, and parking lots are still treacherous, and we are supposed to get "snow showers" again today, so church was cancelled for today. Oh well, one more day to stay in my jammies and stamp!

Since I have that new bunch of swaps, I think I will share a few more of them with you today:

Stampin_up_a_dozen_thoughts_1

Rene Watson used the Envelope Liner Framelit Dies to put together her holder (it could also be a card with the greeting page pulling out of the top!). She used Old Olive cardstock, Season of Style Designer Paper, Festive Flurry stamps and Framelit Dies, Cherry Cobbler 1" Stitched Edged Ribbon, and "just because" from the A Dozen Thoughts stamp set.

Stampin_up_festive_flurry_1

This design is the first giftcardholder style I learned to make! Katy Simecka used the Festive Flurry stamps & framelits bundle with Pool Party, Whisper White, the Northern Flurry folder and Silver 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon!

Stampin_up_festive_flurry_2

The unique feature of this one is the Whisper White Medium Envelope that is the working part of the holder. Just fold the envelope in half, cut the flap in half at the fold, stick down the left side of the flap, then leave the right side open to slip the gift card in!

Stampin_up_a_gift_for_you_1

Barb Dykhouse used the Pop n' Cuts Card Base Die, A Gift For You Single Stamp, Crumb Cake cardstock, Season of Style Designer Paper, Oval punches, adn the Label Bracket Punch for her gift card holder.

Stampin_up_a_gift_for_you_2

Simple and easy with the Pop 'n Cuts Card Base Die, just cut out, score a couple of times, and decorate!

Stampin_up_warmth_wonder_1

Ruth Anne Lilley used  Warmth & Wishes Hostess and More Merry Messages stamps, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, and Old Olive cardstock, Season of Style Designer Paper, Petals-a-Plenty Textured Impressions Folder, and the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle and 1 3/4" Circle punches for this cute little pop-up gift card holder!

Stampin_up_warmth_wonder_2

Inside she used the Word Window Punch, punching a couple of time side-by-side to create the slot of the gift card!

Stampin_up_teeny_tiny_wishes_1

And last-but-definitely-not-least, Tamie Ackerson used the Pop 'n Cuts Card Base Die again for her adorable Snowman holder! Punches, markers, and sponging were used to create his perky little face, and the Bird Builder Punch does a great job looking like "holly"! Doesn't the Silver Glimmer Paper cut with the smallest Festive Flurry Framelit look a little bit like a sheriff's badge?

Stampin_up_teeny_tiny_wishes_2

The inside features a pull-up greeting, in addtion to the gift card pocket!

Stampin_up_teeny_tiny_wishes_3

Tamie used Teeny Tiny Wishes for the outside greeting, and Wishing You for the pull-up greeting!

Well, that's all for today! Even though we aren't going to church today, I still want to make a Sunday-dinner-worthy meal! Most of my kids are staying snug in their homes today, but Troy is coming over for lunch! yay!

Stampin’ Up! Wishing You File Folder Gift Card!

Stampin’ Up! Wishing You File Folder Gift Card!

Hey there! I just spent the day with Liam and Jaxon again! Good times! They are so fun! At one point they were both dancing to the music of a Curious George movie I had playing for them and Jaxon pulled on my hand and said "up!" because he wanted me to dance with them! It's hard to dance with tears streaming down your face, but I managed, then thanked God for these precious little fellows I get to love!

Today's project is another made with the Envelope Punch Board, this time a "file folder" gift card holder:

Stampin_up_wishing_you_1

I used the Wishing You stamp set (#131748 wood-mount $14.95, #131751 clear-mount $11.95) for the greeting and on the Notecard Envelopes (#131528 $5.50 for 40 Crumb Cake envelopes measuring 5 1/8" x 3 5/8") Did you even KNOW these existed in the catalog? They are on page 162 of the Annual Catalog. They are so cute!

I made the gift card holder to fit inside the envelope. I adhered the Season of Style Designer Paper (#132340 $10.95) to the front flap and the Season of Style Designer Washi Tape ( #132155 $4.95) to the Crumb Cake base before punching with the Envelope Punch Board (#133744 $19.95) and then cutting off the excess with my Stampin' Trimmer (#126889 $29.95).

I wrapped a piece of Cherry Cobbler 1" Stitched Edge Grosgrain Ribbon (#132135 $8.95) around both card flaps to create the pouch for the gift card. After stamping the greeting from Wishing You with Cherry cobbler ink, I punched it out with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch (#119850 $16.95) and adhered over the ribbon with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430 $3.95)

You can shop for all the supplies to make these little babies in my Online Store:

www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

As long as you get your order placed by December 17th you should receive your order before Christmas!

This little gift card holder is the final project we will be making at my Christmas Catch-up and Customer Appreciation Open House on December 13th! Now to just get busy and prep all the packets!

That's all for now! I'm really excited for Wednesday. Not only do I have the whole day to be at home with no where to go (it's amazing how seldom that happens!), but my Spring Occasions Catalog pre-order arrives tomorrow too! Yippee! I ordered a BUNCH of fun new stuff that we will be playing with starting in January!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin Up! Creations by Yes, Mam! Angela Henson!

Stampin Up! Creations by Yes, Mam! Angela Henson!

Are you wondering why I am featuring another one of my downline, the "Yes, Mam! Stampers", on my blog again today? With the Join Stampin' Up! for $25 Starter Kit getting ready to expire next Monday, I wanted to share with you how much I love my downline girls! They are an awesome group of ladies who love to stamp and love sharing Stampin' Up!

Angela Henson is one awesome lady! She's a Physician's Assistant by day, and a Stampin' Up! demo nights & weekends! This just shows you don't have to have oodles of time on your hands to enjoy this passion!

Here are a couple of Angela's recent creations:

Angela henson feative flurry

Angela used Pool Party and Whisper White cardstock with Pool Party and Encore Metallic Silver ink to create this gorgeous card using the Festive Flurry stamps and framelits bundle and a greeting from Sweet Essentials! She accented with Rhinestone jewels and 1/8" Silver ribbon!

Angela henson 4
She left the inside blank for a personal message, but I love the way she used the same stamps and inks to bring the outside and the inside of the card to complement each other!

Angela henson 1

For her second creation, Angela used the same Festive Flurry stamp set, but with a Midnight Muse, Whisper White and Silver combo. She addded some Silver Glimmer paper punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch, 1/8" Silver Ribbon, Rhinestones, and a greeting from the Wishing You stamp set punched with the Decorative Label Punch!

Angela henson 2
So many of our stamp sets have two phrase stamps that complement each other, which is the case with Wishing You. Angela finished off the inside of ther card with Encore Metallic Silver-stamped snowflakes and the coresponding Wishing You phrase!

If you would like to join my group of Yes Mam! Stampers, I am getting Welcome Packets ready to go in the mail to my new recruits taking advantage of the $25 Starter Kit, and I would love to send a Welcome Packet to you! Just go to my Stampin' Up! website www.carolpayne.stampinup.net and click on the "join the fun" tab on the upper right side. Stampin’Up! Build a Banner Christmas Joy!

Stampin’Up! Build a Banner Christmas Joy!

I received my final paper-copy of Papercrafts this weekend, (it's going to all digital delivery from now on)and a sample on the cover inspired me to create this with my Build a Banner Simply Created Kit:

Joy 1

I used the stencils in the kit to sponge the "j" with Early Espresso, the "o" with Real Red, and the "y" with Garden Green on the Crumb Cake layer. After sponging the "joy" letters, I then sponged the dots with the dotted stencil and Whisper White Craft ink.

I inked just the "Christmas" on the "a very merry Christmas to you" from More Merry Messages with a Real Red Stampin' Write Marker. I cut it out with one of the Bitty Banner Framelits. I dotted the "j" with a Champagne Glimmer Paper star.

Joy 2
Inside I stamped images from the "Wishing You" stamp set.

I'm going to miss my paper issues of "Papercrafts". It seems like an oxymoron for a magazine named "Papecrafts" isn't available on paper anymore, but my blog is delivered to you digitally, so I guess that's just another bit of progress, isn't it?

You can order your Build a Banner Simply Created Kit (#133507 $19.95) from my Online Store. You can get there by clicking on the "shop now" button" here on my blog.

That's all for now. Thanks so much for stopping in to see me today. Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!
