Stampin’Up! Another Vivid Vases Card!

Stampin’Up! Another Vivid Vases Card!

Hey there! In case you are wondering, the "vases" in "Vivid Vases" is pronounced "vahhhses", (at least to my ear it is). What do you think? Is it "vaces" or "vahses"?

No matter how you pronounce it, this set is just so cute and versatile. One stamp, wood-mount only, but it lends itself so well to several fun techniques. Yesterday's technique was painter's tape, and today we have the ombre' technique with punches!

Stampin_up_vivid_vases_ombre_1

This card inspired by by Amy Koenders. The card base is Strawberry Slush, layered with Whisper White embossed with the Scallops Textured Impressions Folder.

The flowers and vases are heat embossed with white powder on Rose Red, Strawberry Slush, Blushing Bride, and Pink Pirouette, then punched with the 1" Circle Punch.

The greeting is from Four You, stamped with Strawberry Slush ink BEFORE the layer is embossed.

Rhinestones add the perfect touch of bling, don't you think?

Stampin_up_vivid_vases_ombre_2

The inside layer has another greeting from Four You stamped in Strawberry Slush, as well as the Vivid Vases at the bottom.

Each small flower has been punched with the 1/2" Circle Punch, then mounted over the stamped flowers with a Stampin' Dimensional.

That's all for today. Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

If you would like to order Stampin' Up! supplies and do not have a demonstrator, I would love to be yours! Every Online Order of $25 will receive my "Bluesox Rewards' tokens toward free stamps, and every $50 order will qualify to choose a free item from the Sale-a-bration brochure! yay!

Stampin’ Up! Sprinkley Pink Birthday!

Stampin’ Up! Sprinkley Pink Birthday!

I was prepping some projects for a SAS I'm doing for a hostess this weekend and remembered I had intended to use the layout from one of the Christmas cards as a birthday card. You can see my original card HERE. I took that layout and inspiration and created this card:
Sprinkly pink birthday 1

I created the cake with 1/2" wide strips of Silver Glimmer paper, alternated with 1/2" strips of Strawberry Slush Designer Collection Paper. I adhered it to a layer of Pink Pirouette Designer Collection Paper. The Silver Glimmer paper I used Tombow glue to adhere it because it has a plastic-y backing that SNAIL adhesive won't stick to.

Sprinkly pink birthday 2

I really like the candles and flames for this cake. I flipped the Strawberry Slush polka-dot paper over and punched it with the candle of the Cupcake Builder punch. I really like how the chevron-pattern of the paper mimics the swirls on birthday candles. I punched a Silver Glimmer paper scrap with the flames of the Cupcake Builder punch. I adhered the candles and the flames to the card with Tombow glue that I applied to the pieces with a toothpick.

Sprinkly pink birthday 3

The Strawberry Slush-stamped greeting is from Remembering Your Birthday. I cut it out with a Chalk Talk Framelit, and added a Whisper White Organza bow with a Glue Dot.

Sprinkly pink birthday 4

Inside I continued the pink-sprinkley theme with a "happy birthday" from the same Remebering Your Birthday set, and added "my friend" from Six Sided Sampler. I punched Silver Glimmer paper and Strawberry Slush Designer Collection paper with the Cupcake Builder Punch again for my final embellishment.

That's all for now! I wish one of my granddaughter's birthdays' was not so far away, I can hardly wait to give them this card!

You can order the supplies for this card from my Online Store, www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Go check it out! In addition to the current Weekly Deals, there's also a Thursday Thank-You Special for Thursday, October 17th only!

That's all for now! Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Sweetest Gift Baby Girl!

Stampin’ Up! Sweetest Gift Baby Girl!

Good morning! I was looking back through my files and discovered I had not shared this GREAT baby girl card I received in the Convention swaps with my monthly swap back in July using the Sweetest Gift stamp set, Card Base Pop 'n Cuts, and Label Pop 'n Cuts Die!

This card was created by Raedean Shibata. She always goes over the top with her fabulous swaps!

Sweetest gift 1
The only additions I made to this card was the "it's a girl" greeting from the A Dozen Thoughts stamp set and the Dazzling Diamonds glitter.

Sweetest gift 2
Strawberry Slush, Whisper White, and Pink Pirouette cardstocks, 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Ribbon, Ovals Collection Framelits, and Stripes Textured Impressions Folder.

Yes, it's a great card all right. But wait! There's more! Lookie inside:

Sweetest gift 3
Isn't this just adorable? I love the way the curved edges of the Pop 'n Cuts Card Base add to the feminine feel of this card!

Sweetest gift 4
Again, my only addition is a little dab of Dazzling Diamonds!

The "congratulations  . . " phrase is also from Sweetest Gift, and the label layers are from the Deco Labels Collection Framelits.

Well, I've got to get moving. I'm heading over to Jessica's this morning to spend a little time with Jaxon while Jessica takes Cohen to his first day of Kindergarten! She has to stay for an hour of Kg. Orientation. Orientation for Maddie Kate and Ava was in the evening in years past, so this new way of having the moms come the morning of the first day, stay for the first hour, then having to LEAVE their child is not something she is looking foward to! She commented: "Did the teachers get together and decide "what can we do to make the mommies cry?"

I remember Jessica's first day of school like it was yesterday, instead of 30 years ago =(  ! I put her on the bus at 6:30 a.m. the first morning, then sat on my porch steps and cried with Kimberly and Troy on my lap. It was my birthday and I was 24 years old that day. I remembered thinking how could it be that I was old enough to have a child in school already? After 5 more kindergarten first days, 6 high school graduations, 4 college graduations (two more to come!), 3 weddings, and 6 grandchildren later, I still wonder how could I be old enough for all of this, but I KNOW I am exceedingly blessed!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’Up! Yes Mam’s! Shoebox Swap Card #3, #4, & #5!

Stampin’Up! Yes Mam’s! Shoebox Swap Card #3, #4, & #5!

Good morning! I have THREE card ideas for you today, brought to you by Martha Swift, Kristen Hoffman, and Sherry Chrisman!

Martha's card uses the yummy color combo of Strawberry Slush and Whisper White! Martha embossed the Strawberry Slush layer with the Stripes Textured Impressions Folder, punched the lower edge with the Scallop Edge Border Punch, then added Gingham Garden Designer Paper cut with the Ovals Collection Framelits! Inside the oval opening we stamped the "Hello" from Lacy & Lovely with Basic Gray ink, then added a Strawberry Slush-stamped flower from Secret Garden cut with one of the Secret Garden Framelits. A Primrose Petals In-Color Dahlia coordinates wonderfully with the Strawberry Slush color! I love the crisp, clean lines of this card!

Martha 1

One of my newest recruits, Kristen, designed this quick-and-easy card using a set I've always admired but never have gotten around to ordering, Bootiful Occasions! Kristen chose Midnight Muse and Cherry Cobbler for her colors. The Cherry Cobbler 1/2" Seam Binding ribbon really pulls this simple design together!

Kristen

Sherry Chrisman's design combines  the beautiful Swallowtail butterfly stamp with Crisp Cantaloupe ink! For a bit of bling she heat-embossed the phrase from Million & One with Silver Embossing Powder on Brushed Silver cardstock and added one tiny Basic Jewel Rhinestone. The edges of this layer were cut with the Large Scallop EdgelitBrushed Silver-punched Bitty Butterflies finish this card off beautifully!

Sherry 1

That's all for today! I will be back tomorrow with one more Shoebox Swap creation by Tudy Hoffman!

Hope your day Stampingrox!
