Stampin’ Up! On Film Framelit Dies!

Stampin’ Up! On Film Framelit Dies!

Hey there! I have another "fun-fold" card for you today! This time I used the Peachy Keen stamp set, On Film Framelit Dies, and I Am Me Designer Series Paper.

Stampin_up_peachy_keen_1

I used the smaller "film" die from the On Film Framelits to cut the Basic Gray cardstock frame, then inserted the Real Red-stamped "HELLO FRIEND" inside. I cut the Real Red arrow with another die from the set, then cut and embossed the camera with Silver Foil Paper.

Stampin_up_hip_notes_1

On the flip-side, I stamped the tile-like stamp with Real Red, then stamped "HIP HIP HORRAY"  from Hip Notes with Basic Gray ink, and "happy birthday" from Teeny Tiny Wishes with Real Red ink.

Stampin_up_on_film_framelits_1

Up-close you can see the fine detail from the camera die in the On Film Framelit Dies!

Stampin_up_peachy_keen_2
The Peachy Keen stamp set has a camera stamp, but it doesn't exactly match the die, so I inked the camera die with my Real Red Stampin' Write Marker before cutting the Whisper White cardstock. It transferred the ink nicely, but I decided to go with the Silver Foil camera instead.

That's all for now. My hubby came down with this flu that has been going around, so I prepped for my next two classes like crazy today so I can take time to be sick if I have to! Please keep your fingers crossed that I don't get it!

You can order supplies to make this fun card by clicking HERE.

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’Up! Yes, Mam’s Downline Meeting Swaps!

Stampin’Up! Yes, Mam’s Downline Meeting Swaps!

Hey there! I had a fun but busy Sunday! First, I helped in the nursery at church during the morning service. I do this once a month, partnering with my daughter, Jessica. It's always fun, but right now there's a bunch of little guys in there, including two of my grandsons, Jaxon and Liam, that make it even better!

After Sunday dinner at my house with 4 of my kids in attendance, I went back to my church to set up for the quarterly meeting of my Yes, Mam! Stampers!

I set up my display of my Leadership Board and more samples:

DSC_0095

Our main activity was a Shoebox Swap:

Stampin_up_downline_meeting_1

Stampin_up_downline_meeting_2

Everyone is concentrating (and enjoying!) making each other's cards!

Here's a few of our creations of the day:

Stampin_up_by_the_seashore_michelle_daschka_1

Michelle Daschka's "By the Seashore" creation, complete with a real sea shell!

Stampin_up_owl_builder_punch_michelle_daschka_1

Michelle also brought these little treat cup favors for everyone! She found the cups in the grocery store, then used her Owl Builder Punch to create coordinating little tags for a festive look!

Stampin_up_chalk_talk_angie_lisk_1

Angie Lisk used the Chalk Talk stamp set and Framelits Bundle, Decorative Dots Textured Impressions Folder, and the colors of Crumb Cake, Real Red, Coastal Cabana, and Whisper White!

Stampin_up_chalk_talk_angie_lisk_2

Inside she used the Envelope Liner Framelit Die to create a gift card holder with more stamps from the Chalk Talk set.

Stampin_up_regarding_dahlias_martha_swift_1

Martha Swift created a card with two options using the Regarding Dahlias stamp set, Decorative Dots Textured Impressions Folder, 3/16" Corner Rounder Punch, Encore Gold Metallic ink, and Gold Foil Paper. You could make this portrait version using the Starburst Framelits to cut the flower layers.

Stampin_up_regrding_dahlias_martha_swift_2

Or you could make the card landscape, hand-cutting the dahlia with Paper Snips, then punching Basic Black flower layer with the Blossom Punch, the next dahlia layer with the Pansy Punch, the next Basic Black layer with the 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch, and the final dahlia layer with the scallop circle Itty Bitty Shapes Punch.

Stampin_up_thoughts_and_prayers_collage_linda_reaney_1

Linda Reaney's creation uses a bunch of stamps with Rich Razzleberry and Always Artichoke ink: Flower Shop, Petite Petals (Occasions), En Francais background, and Thoughts and Prayers! The "happy Birthday wishes" is from Petite Pairs. All the stamping is on Naturals Ivory, then layered on Always Artichoke and finally a Rich Razzleberry card base. She added a bit of Victoria Crochet Trim for the perfect final touch!

That's all I have for you today. There are a few more swaps to share, but I'm saving them for tomorrow! Oh, and in case you are wondering, the Tangerine Tango Stampin' Up!  Inspire, Create, Share bag is from the Make & Take Session at Leadership. All attendees received one! Stampin' Up! is so good at giving little perks like these!

You can go to my Online Store to shop for the supplies to make these cards by clicking HERE.

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day! Retro Fresh Suite!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day! Retro Fresh Suite!

Hey there! Today is Sunday, which means it's Sunday Swap Day! yay!

These swaps are all from Leadership in Houston a few weeks ago. Some of them are swaps I brought home and some are swaps belonging to my downline, Linda!

All FIVE of these swaps have the same theme: they are all created using something from the Retro Fresh product suite on pages 18-19 of the Occasions Catalog:

Stampin_up_ retro_fresh_love_you_more

Retro Fresh Designer Paper, Chevron Border Punch, Banner Punch (Sale-a-bration brochure), Love You More – download the flyer for this and more cute Valentine-themed products, only available until January 27th:

Download Flyer_wholelotoflove_demo_12.1-1.27.2014_US

Stampin_up_love_you_to_the_moon

Baked Brown Sugar cardbase, Costal Cabana and Very Vanill cardstock, Retro Fresh Designer Paper, Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, Baked Brown Sugar 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Trim, Love You to the Moon pg 25 of the Occasions Catalog.

Stampin_up_retro_fresh_ampersand_perfect_pennants

Soft Suede card base, Coastal Cabana Core'dinations (it has that pretty texture!) and Very Vanilla cardstock, Retro Fresh Designer Paper, Angled Tag Topper Punch, Ampersand Textured Impressions Folder, Banner Punch (Sale-a-bration brochure), and Perfect Pennants stamps on page 27 of the Occasions Catalog.

Stampin_up_retro_fresh_washi_itty_bitty_banners

Very Vanilla card base, Coastal Cabana and So Saffron cardstock, Retro Fresh This and Taht Designer Washi Tape, Full Heart Punch, Early Espresso Baker's Twine, Itty Bitty Banners stamp set and Bitty Banners Framelits.

Stampin_up_retro_fresh_washi_just_sayin

I think this one might be my favorite because of its super-simplicity and the saying from the Just Sayin' stamp set on page 36 of the Occasions catalog, cut out with the Word Bubbles Framelits Dies. This stamp set and dies are "bundled" together so that when you buy them at the same time you get a 15 % discount on what they would be if you bought them separately. The stamps are available in both wood-mount and clear-mount too!

That's all for now! After church this morning and Sunday dinner with the fam, I have a downline meeting this afternoon! We are having a Shoebox Swap, and I've got my card all ready and 12 packets cut so everyone can make it. I will come home with 12 different cards, each designed by one of my downline who also teaches and sells Stampin' Up! products. Fun!

Stampin’ Up! Geometrical Meets the Owl!

Stampin’ Up! Geometrical Meets the Owl!

Hey there! I had a post almost completely ready to go last night, but I fell asleep with my hands still on the keyboard and when I woke up the post was gone. I hate when I do that. I just closed the computer and went to bed. sigh.

Even though that post is gone forever, I still have the card to show you!

Stampin_up_geometrical_owl_on_film_1

When I was creating the Geometrical card I showed you a few days ago HERE the idea for this one starting percolating in my brain and I couldn't stop thinking about it! The sequins on the "oo" just looked too much like owl eyes to ignore, so last night I sat down an made this card with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Folder, Retro Fresh Desginer Paper, Gold Sequin Trim, Geometrical stamp set, Owl Builder Punch, Chevron Border Punch, and the new On Film Framelits Dies.

I pullled the colors of Coastal Cabana, Tangerine Tango, and So Saffron from the DSP, then added Naturals Ivory, Soft Suede, and Early Espresso. It's a lot more colors than I usually work with at one time on one card, but it worked!

I inked the "hooray" first with my Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker, then stamped on the Naturals Ivory paper. I cleaned and dried my stamp on my Stampin' Scrub, then tested it for dryness on scratch paper before re-inking "for today" with my Tangerine Tango marker. I then moved over a couple of letters and lined up the un-inked "Hooray" with the stamped "Hooray" and stamped "for today" so it is more right-justified than on the original stamp. (my stamps today are wood-mount, but you can do the same thing with the clear-mount stamps) This left me room to add the owl from the Owl Builder punch with those Gold Sequin Trim eyes!

Before I added the owl, I embossed the Naturals Ivory layer with my Woodgrain Textured Impressions Folder, then lightly sponged Soft Suede ink over the woodgrain ridges. I attached this layer to the Early Espresso card base with Stampin' Dimensionals for a firmer attachment than just using SNAIL adhesive would give with all the texture on the paper after embossing.

My owl looked a little lost on the card until I added the Coastal Cabana "polaroid" frame from the On Film Framelits Dies with Stampin' Dimensionals. I added punched chevrons of Tangerine Tango, Early Espresso, and So Saffron, and then added a Gold Sequin to each.

Stampin_up_chalk_talk_chevron_border

Inside I used "happy BIG day" from the Chalk Talk stamp set, stamped in Early Espresso and cut out with one of the Chalk Talk framelits. I layered it on a Tangerine Tango and a Coastal Cabana-punched Decorative Label. More punched chevrons give the bottom of this card a coordinated look!

This card would work well for a birthday, graduation, or even retirement card, yes?

That's all for now! I have another card to show you tomorrow, also using the Geometrical stamp set and Owl Builder Punch! Whoo Hoo!

To order the supplies to make this card, click HERE to go to my Online Store.

(BTW, I think this post is even better than the one I lost last night, yay!)

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Sneak Peek See Ya Later!

Stampin’ Up! Sneak Peek See Ya Later!

Hey there! I just got home really late from a fun shopping trip with Alisa and Oakley! This is the first time in a long time I actually had a chance to shop the January Clearance sales. Oh boy! Things were so cheap it seemed like they were practically paying ME to take their stuff home!

Seriously, I am stocked for future baby shower gifts for a long time, as well as picked up some adorable things for the grandboys as they grow! I got a really cute coat for me at Macy's, and then went a little crazy at JoAnn's with flannel! When I get my projects done I will be sure to show you all, I promise! I'm making the flannel a year-long project, in between stamping, of course!

Sale-a-bration will be here before we know it, just 12 more days to be exact! So since I spent my day shopping instead of stamping, I decided to dip into my stash of swaps to share a few with you that were created with the Sale-a-bration stamp set, See Ya Later:

Stampin_up_see_ya_later_3 Whisper White, Coastal Cabana, Crumb Cake, and Real Red makes a pleasing color combo, don't you think? Deco Label Framelits were used to cut out the layers and Real Red 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain is the perfect finishing touch! This card was created by Denise Sullivan.

Stampin_up_see_ya_later_1 Kathy Johnson paired the Cupcake Builder Punch with the See Ya Later birthday greeting. The additon of the Early Espresso gives a yummy look to this card!

Stampin_up_see_ya_later_5

Last but definitely not least, Carla Starry used the Sale-a-bration  See Ya Later, Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper, and the Decorative Dots folder, combining with Basic Black cardstock for some pop! The birthday phrase is cut out with one of the Apothecary Accent Dies.

Well, that's all for  now! You will soon be able to choose one of these Sale-a-braion products with your $50 order. If you need to place an order now, just go HERE.

My eyes are so heavy I'm about to nod off right here on the couch!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!
