Stampin’ Up! Lovely Amazing You Project Sheet!

Hey there! Before we start, I just want to share one picture from the baby dedication yesterday. Here's Darcy with her Mommy & Daddy, big brother Liam, her Mamie and PaPa Jenkins and Mark & I (also called Mamie and PaPa by Liam !)

One of our nephews, Dillon, had to dance around like a crazy person behind the camera to get Liam to look! Darcy took it all in her usual style, calm and relaxed. This little girl can sleep through almost anything!

As I said before, yellow is not a go-to color for me, but when it is paired with black and white, it pops!

Stampin’ Up! Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop April Edition Congratulations!

Hey there! It's April 15th, which means it's time for another Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop! Yay!

April's theme is Congratulations for weddings, babies, graduations; you name it, we've got you covered!

If you're already on the hop you probably just came from Stella MacKay's blog, Stellar Stamps. I am absolutely blown away by Stella's Herringbone Congratulations Heart, aren't you? I want to make one just like it SOOOOO bad!

Since next month is a month with LOTS of graduations, I decided to go with a graduation congratulations card for my hop project, combining the congrats theme with a fun fold for my monthly swap. I'm killing two birds with one stone, as they say!

I used the B.Y.O.P stamp set from the Occasions Catalog to create a gift card holder card. What does B.Y.O.P stand for? Buy Your Own Present! This set is a perfect set to make gift card holders for just about any occasion!

When I think of graduations I always think of stars because the graduate is the star of the day, so I used the Perpetual Birthday Calendar stamp set, Stars Framelits, Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, and the Confetti Stars punch to be able to add a myriad of stars to my card!

The sentiment on the back is also from B.Y.O.P. and encourages the recipient to open the card to find:

A gift card, of course!

The directions to to creating this multi-folded card are actually very simple:

Dimensions: 5 1/2" x 11", scored at 2 1/2", 4", 7", and 8 1/2". Fold and crease sharply with a bone folder all of the scored lines, then cut with the largest Window Frames Framelit. Use bits of painter's tape to hold the framelit in place. Even though you can use the Magnetic Platform when you cut it out, the thickness of the multiple folds of the card will not allow the magnetism to grab and hold the framelit:

Stampin’ Up! Another Thank You Bokeh Technique!

Hey there! Whew! What a whirlwind the last 5 days have been, between taxes, a Birthday Card Buffet, and the free shipping promotion, I am exhausted. Tomorrow afternoon we are throwing a wedding shower for a girl from our church, and the list goes on for next week!

Today's card expresses how I've felt the past few days with the response I've received with the free shipping offer:

This card uses the Bokeh Technique to achieve the look of light glinting and flaring in the background. Here's a quick rundown of how to do it:

1. Starting with a neutral cardstock, such as Very Vanilla or Whisper White, sponge color in random areas, overlapping the colors just a bit.

2. Punch or cut circles of varying sizes into a sheet of card stock or acetate (window sheet). The circles need to be different sizes and not punched in lines, they need to be punched randomly. You are creating a sponging stencil.

3. Lay the stencil over the sponged card stock. Sponge Whisper White Craft ink into the circle openings. Sponge some of the circles lighter and some darker. Move the stencil a little bit and repeat the sponging with White Craft ink. Continue to move and sponge until you like the effect.

4. Allow to air-dry or speed up the drying time with a Heat Tool.

5. Stamp over the Bokeh background with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Stampin’ Up! Banner Blessings for a Friend!

I will be switching to FeedBlitz in the near future so I will have more control when my blog posts are delivered to you. You do not have to do anything to continue receiving my blog post emails.

Hey there! Today could be considered a sad day, or at least a sort of sad day for Stampin' Up! customers and demonstrators. Today is the last day of Sale-a-bration 2015. I know that's not the end of the world, but it is the end of choosing a free product with every $50 you order with me.

Here's my card for today. Everyone who has ordered or will place an order with me this month will receive this card in their Thank You Project Packet in addition to the normal Thank You Project:

This card is created with the Banner Blessings Photopolymer stamp set, available right now! Although not listed in any catalog, it is part of the pilot Photopolymer Release Program by Stampin' Up! I also used the Spring Flowers Textured Impressions Folder, the Starburst Framelits Dies, and Garden Party stamp set.

Inside is simply stamped with a greeting from the Hey You set, and the envelope is lined with a piece from the Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Stack (it's not just for Valentine's Day, ya know?)

Today is also Tuesday, which means it's time for new Weekly Deals! yay! The more I think about it, the less sad this day gets! This weeks' deals are all about the Big Shot, and WOW I just realized the Magnetic Platform is $10 off! woo hoo!

Once an In Color is on the retiring list it becomes WHILE SUPPLIES LAST and availability cannot be guaranteed through the end of the catalog, which is June 2nd.
