Stampin’ Up! Seasonal Pumpkin!

Stampin’ Up! Seasonal Pumpkin!

Hey there! While I was creating for the blog hop I also tried another color combo. I used Pear Pizzazz, Rich Razzleberry, and Very Vanilla. It made the glimmer paper pumpkin pop!

Stampin_up_suite_sayings_carolpaynestamps1

I cut the glimmer paper with two sizes of Swirly Scribbles thinlets, putting the smaller one inside the larger for a more glimmer-y pumpkin!

I inked the Suite Sayings sentiment with Rich Razzleberry and Pear Pizzazz Stampin' Write Markers.

For the background I used a Seasonal Decorative Mask, rubbing a Versamark pad directly on the mask and paper. I held the paper in place with a bit of SNAIL on the back and the mask in place with a couple of pieces of washi tape.

Inside I sponged just a portion of the mask with Pear Pizzazz ink. Another Suite Sayings sentiment completes the card. I used the same mask & sponge on the envelope flap.

White I was at it I made a second, slightly different card. I've been doing that a lot lately. I end up with more cards to show and send!

I used Perfect Plum instead of  Rich Razzleberry, all three colors of Halloween Night Enamel Dots, and used the polka-dotty Seasonal Decorative Mask.

Another Suite Sayings sentiment to finish it all off.

Stampin’ Up! Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop April Edition Congratulations!

Stampin’ Up! Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop April Edition Congratulations!

Hey there! It's April 15th, which means it's time for another Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop! Yay!

April's theme is Congratulations for weddings, babies, graduations; you name it, we've got you covered!

If you're already on the hop you probably just came from Stella MacKay's blog, Stellar Stamps. I am absolutely blown away by Stella's Herringbone Congratulations Heart, aren't you? I want to make one just like it SOOOOO bad!

Since next month is a month with LOTS of graduations, I decided to go with a graduation congratulations card for my hop project, combining the congrats theme with a fun fold for my monthly swap. I'm killing two birds with one stone, as they say!

Stampin_up_byop_1

I used the B.Y.O.P stamp set from the Occasions Catalog to create a gift card holder card. What does B.Y.O.P stand for? Buy Your Own  Present! This set is a perfect set to make gift card holders for just about any occasion!

Stampin_up_byop_2

When I think of graduations I always think of stars because the graduate is the star of the day, so I used the Perpetual Birthday Calendar stamp set, Stars Framelits, Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, and the Confetti Stars punch to be able to add a myriad of stars to my card!

Stampin_up_byop_3

The sentiment on the back is also from B.Y.O.P. and encourages the recipient to open the card to find:

Stampin_up_byop_4

A gift card, of course!

The directions to to creating this multi-folded card are actually very simple:

Dimensions: 5 1/2" x 11", scored at 2 1/2", 4", 7", and 8 1/2". Fold and crease sharply with a bone folder all of the scored lines, then cut with the largest Window Frames Framelit. Use bits of painter's tape to hold the framelit in place. Even though you can use the Magnetic Platform when you cut it out, the thickness of the multiple folds of the card will not allow the magnetism to grab and hold the framelit:

Hey there! It's Stampers Dozen Blog Hop day! Welcome to the April installment of the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop, ConGraduation, Congratualtions!

You may have just come from Stella MacKay's blog, Stellar Stamps.com. If you did, you saw Stella's awesome creation! If not, you can start here and follow the blog around to all 12 blogs this month, ending with Stella and then back to me! Just follow the link at the end of this post and you will be on your way!

My project today follows the ConGraduation, Congratualations theme with the Pure Gumption stamp set from page 52 of the Annual Catalog:

Stampin_up_pure_gumption_1 - Copy

I created the kite by punching one straight pennant from the Petite Pennants Builder Punch and one triangle from the triangle punch from Silver Glimmer Paper. I added narrow strips of Basic Black cardstock for the struts of the kite, White Baker's Twine for the kite string, and tiny Silver Glimmer hearts punched with the Owl Builder Punch.

Stampin_up_pure_gumption_2 - Copy

I used my custom-made cloud embossing plate for the clouds. You can see how to make your own cloud plate HERE. I sponged my clouds with Soft Sky ink.

The greeting is from Pure Gumption, stamped in Jet Black StazOn ink and cut out with a Word Bubbles Framelit.

Stampin_up_pure_gumption_3 - Copy

Inside is stamped very straighforward with more stamps from the same set. Pure Gumption is a one-stop stamp set for graduation/congratulations!
