Stampin’ Up! Buffalo Check Banner for Ivory!

Hey there! Today I'm sharing the banner I created for Ivory's birthday party decorations. I failed to take a picture of it hanging at the party, but I have some good close-ups of some of the pennants, so you will just have to use your imagination for the rest!

I used the same color combo of Purple Posy, Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, and Whisper White that I used for her birthday card I shared with you yesterday. Each pennant is 6 1/8" wide at the top I made my own pattern and then traced it cross-wise onto the Gorgeous Grape card stock. After cutting along the lines with my paper trimmer, I found I could get two pennants from an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of card stock. I used my stapler to adhere the fold over the Baker's Twine I used to pull the pennant together and for hanging.

I stamped Whisper White with the Buffalo Check background and Highland Heather ink, then cut with one of the Celebration Labels Dies from the Holiday Catalog. I used the Playful Alphabet for her name and both Daisy Punches for the flowers. I wanted to distract from the staples along the top of each pennant, so I cut Whisper White strips with one of the Ornate Borders dies and added with liquid glue!

Each daisy has a Buffalo Check heart punched from the leftovers of the Celebration Labels using the Dog Builder Punch!

I do wish I had taken a picture of it all hanging together, but it's hard to photograph something that long very well! I hope you have enjoyed the close-ups of the pennants! lol!

Stampin’ Up! So Sentimental Baby Cards!

Hey there! For years I had a child at home to delegate the job of cleaning bathrooms. We've been empty-nesters for a year and a half, but I still miss my bathroom cleaner. I'd rather stamp!

After cleaning one of my two bathrooms today, I made these baby cards with another print from the Pleased As Punch Designer paper:

I stamped "hello baby" from So Sentimental in Pool Party, then punched with the 1" Circle Punch. I layered it on a heart punched from the Pleased As Punch Designer paper.

One sheet of Pleased As Punch has hearts printed in Pool Party, Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Highland Heather, and Petal Pink!

I stamped a sentiment from Wonderful Moments for the inside.

How sweet!

For the Blushing Bride version, I used the plaid from the flip side of the hearts print.

The Scripty embossed images really popped when I sponged with Blushing Bride ink!

Stampin’ Up! Boys x 2!

Hey there! February is over and now finally I can get back to blogging on a more regular basis! Today starts the final weeks of Sale-a-bration with the debut of the Sale-a-bration 2nd Release Brochure! My card today was created for a sweet new mama who is carrying TWIN boys! I had fun with this one, even though I didn't have any current baby stamps, I did have the Hand-Lettered Prose alphabet dies, so nooooo problem! This alphabet with its' "scripty" look is perfect for creating cards for any occasion! If you can think of the phrase, you can make it!

I used Blueberry Bushel and Crumb Cake with the Buffalo Check background for my color palette, then cut the letters with the Hand-Lettered Prose dies. I cut letters from both Crumb Cake and Blueberry Bushel, then off-set them with liquid glue so they would have more dimension and "pop'!

Inside I stamped "congratulations" from Well Said and "Hugs Prayers Love" from Positive Thoughts.

Stampin’ Up! Glimmer, Shimmer, & Shine!

Hey there! Whenever I think of "glimmer, shimmer & shine", Christmas ornaments come to mind!

For my take on the "glimmer, shimmer, & shine" theme, I created ornaments with the Snow Globe Scenes dies.

After cutting the Mossy Meadow trees with a Snow Globe Scenes die, I stamped with a Tiny Keepsakes image (retiring) and Mossy Meadow ink. After cutting the deer (also a Snow Globe Scenes die) from Gold Glimmer, I adhered both to the Mercury Glass Acetate circle with LOTS of Mini Glue Dots.

I rolled the acetate into a scroll, inserted through the opening, and it popped back into shape as soon as it was inside! I punched a hole in the top of the acetate to add a gold string before I inserted into the ornament. so I could keep the circle floating inside. I sprinkled in some sparkly "snow" and added a few punched sprigs of Mossy Meadow and Gold Foil to finish it off.

I punched the greeting with another Spring Mini sneak peek, the Label Me Fancy punch!

Stampin’ Up! Everything Amazing for a Fall Birthday!

Hey there! The page turned while we slept and now it is October! October is my favorite month of the year. I love the bright blue skies, the crisp nights, warm afternoons, crunchy leaves, and the smell of everything fall in the air!

My card I'm sharing today is perfect for a fall birthday! I used Everything Amazing with Buffalo Check for the background and Gather Together for the accents leaves.

I stamped "Amazing" with the Stamparatus and Versamark ink, then heat-embossed with white powder. I used the Stamparatus again for perfect placement of the "wishing you an" and "birthday" with Soft Suede ink.

I pressed the Gathered Leaves dies onto the ink pad before laying on the card stock and cutting with the die-cutting machine. I used the Soft Suede leaf to help close the card front.

Inside I stamped-off the Terracotta Tile leaf before stamping on the Very Vanilla inside, then stamped "wishing you well" with Soft Suede ink.

Stampin’ Up! Hello Cupcake Celebrate Banner!

Hey there! Today I want to share with you the banner I created for our family birthday celebrations. Every month that one of our family has a birthday we gather to celebrate!

I was inspired to create today's banner from a card I shared with you last month HERE.

I used the Buffalo Check background with Real Red ink on Very Vanilla for the pennants, then layered doilies cut with the Doily Builder Thinlits Dies.

After sponging the doilies with Crumb Cake ink, I added the cupcake and pedestal with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I cut three of each Early Espresso letter with the Large Letter Thinlits Dies, then glued each letter together to create a stacked letter before gluing to the banner. To add the pennants to the twine I simply folded the top of the Buffalo Check-stamped layer about 1/2-inch from the top and then stapled it over the twine. This leaves the pennants adjustable to be closer or farther apart as I decide.
