Stampin’ Up! Garden Birdhouses and All For Baby Stitched Stars Ornaments!

Stampin’ Up! Garden Birdhouses and All For Baby Stitched Stars Ornaments!

Hey there! Today I have my final group of Stitched Stars Christmas ornaments. I've had fun letting my creativity loose to make these!

My first one to share with you today was created with the Garden Birdhouses stamp set!

Stampin_up_garden_birdhouses_carolpaynestamps1

I stamped the birdhouse with stamped-off-once Tuxedo Black Memento ink, then colored with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers. I added a border around it all with a Light Pool Party Stampin' Blends.  I hand-cut the little birdie, then added with a snippet of a Stampin' Dimensional.

Stampin_up_garden_birdhouses_carolpaynestamps2

The final idea I had for these ornaments was to create a "Baby's 1st Christmas" ornament with my soon-to-be-born 8th granddaughter, Scarlett, in mind!

Stampin_up_all_for_baby_carolpaynestamps1

For this one I used Real Red and Gold Foil for the sparkle, and Crumb Cake to stamp the teddy. The hat is an image in the Penguin Place stamp set found in the Holiday Mini Catalog.

Stampin_up_all_for_baby_carolpaynestamps2

For the back I printed "Baby's 1st Christmas" from my computer. The snowflakes are cut with a Knit Sweater die. I added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the center. I used Evening Evergreen card stock for the middle star layer.

Stampin_up_all_for_baby_carolpaynestamps3

For the baby boy version I used Balmy Blue card stock and ink, with a silver-foil print from the Whimsy & Wonder 12" x 12" Specialty paper for the smaller star layer.

Stampin_up_all_for_baby_carolpaynestamps4

On the back side I used Silver Foil 12" x 12" Specialty paper and again computer-generated the sentiment.

Stampin_up_all_for_baby_carolpaynestamps5

Finally, I used Blushing Bride and a silver snowflake print from the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty pack along with the teddy from All For Baby. I'm so glad there is both gold & silver cording in the Simply Elegant Trim pack so I have both of the colors I need for each ornament!

Stampin_up_all_for_baby_carolpaynestamps6

After playing around with several shades of pink on my computer, I finally settled for this one. It doesn't really match the Blushing Bride card stock, but it was the closest I could get!

Stampin_up_all_for_baby_carolpaynestamps7

Now to just make a few more batches of each of the ornaments I have designed so I have plenty to sell at the craft fair! Oh, and then I will also make a custom one with Scarlett's name on it! Really excited about her birth!

Stampin’ Up! Penguin Place Ornament!

Stampin’ Up! Penguin Place Ornament!

Hey there! I know it's a little early to be thinking about making Christmas ornaments, but I wanted to play with the Penguin Place Bundle and the Penguin Playmates Designer Series paper that you can get free this month with a $50 order and came up with this!

IMG_2695 (2)

I could have stamped the penguin with the Penguin Place stamp set, but for speed I punched him directly from the Penguin Playmates Designer Paper with the Penguin Builder Punch. I then cut a background layer from another Penguin Playmates print with one of the Hippo & Friends Dies. I cut a slightly larger circle from a piece of Be Dazzling 6" x 6" Specialty Paper (another Sale-a-bration freebie with a $50 order) with a Layering Circle Die for the base of my ornament. I stamped a toboggan hat with Midnight Muse ink then hand-cut with my Paper Snips. After adhering with a mini glue dot, I added a bit of Clear Wink of Stella to the hat for some shine. I also added a few Subtle Shimmer Sequins with tiny dots of liquid glue.

IMG_2692 (2)

I stamped the sentiment from Penguin Place with Misty Moonlight ink on a narrow strip of Basic White card stock, then cut it down shorter and narrower with my Paper Trimmer.

IMG_2693

I cut the same size circle from the same striped paper as the front, but flipped it over for the back! All of the prints in the Penguin Place Designer Series Paper are so cute! I used a piece of gold Elegant Trim for the ornament hanger.

Stampin’ Up! Holiday Happenings!

Stampin’ Up! Holiday Happenings!

Hey there and welcome to the December edition of the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop!

1723402_10152213035905070_85588169_n

Our December theme is "Holiday Happenings". Today I want to share with you some custom ornaments I created with my daughter to give to her kid's teachers with the Gnome for the Holidays and Way to Goat stamp sets!

First the Gnomes! I actually stamped and colored these little guys (and the goats) while creating the Merry Christmas banners I shared with you a while back. I stamped with Tuxedo Black ink and then colored with Stampin' Blends.

I adhered each one to a window sheet circle cut with a Layering Circles Die using glue dots. I added a matching Whisper White circle that I had printed "Christmas 2020" and the recipient's name. After punching a hole at the top I tied some white sewing thread to it so I could hold on to it while rolling it into a tube to fit through the top of the ornament. It popped back open easily!

IMG_1265

I tied the thread to the ornament wire, then tied some Real Red Sheer Ribbon for the hanger.

IMG_1266

Now for the goats! First the dad:

Then the mom:

Stampin’ Up! Glimmer, Shimmer, & Shine!

Stampin’ Up! Glimmer, Shimmer, & Shine!

Hey there! Whenever I think  of  "glimmer, shimmer & shine", Christmas ornaments come to mind!

1797524_10152216933805070_1250170996_n

For my take on the "glimmer, shimmer, & shine" theme, I created ornaments with the Snow Globe Scenes dies.

Stampin_up_still_scenes_ornament_carolpaynestamps1

After cutting the Mossy Meadow trees with a Snow Globe Scenes die, I stamped with a Tiny Keepsakes image (retiring) and Mossy Meadow ink. After cutting the deer (also a Snow Globe Scenes die) from Gold Glimmer, I adhered both to the Mercury Glass Acetate circle with LOTS of  Mini Glue Dots.

I rolled the acetate into a scroll, inserted through the opening, and it popped back into shape as soon as it was inside! I punched a hole in the top of the acetate to add a gold string before I inserted into the ornament. so I could keep the circle floating inside. I sprinkled in some sparkly "snow" and added a few punched sprigs of Mossy Meadow and Gold Foil to finish it off.

Stampin_up_still_scenes_ornament_carolpaynestamps2

I computer generated the greeting, punched with Spring Mini sneak peek Label Me Lovely punch, then sponged with Mossy Meadow ink.

Stampin_up_still_scenes_ornament_carolpaynestamps3

My second creation is all card stock, so it was too stiff to roll up, but I love it too!

Stampin_up_still_scenes_ornament_carolpaynestamps5

I stamped the Very Vanilla circle with the Buffalo Check background using Cherry Cobbler ink before adhering the scene with liquid glue. Crumb Cake sponging gives it a vintage look.

Stampin_up_still_scenes_ornament_carolpaynestamps6

I added Jingle Bells!

Stampin_up_still_scenes_ornament_carolpaynestamps7

I punched the greeting with another Spring Mini sneak peek, the Label Me Fancy punch!

Stampin’ Up! Toile Christmas Wreath Ornament!

Stampin’ Up! Toile Christmas Wreath Ornament!

Hey there! Today I have another Toile Christmas/All Around Wreath ornament to share with you today. It is very similar to my Christmas Cardinal wreath I posted a few days ago HERE.

For this wreath ornament I wanted to use this sweet banner greeting. I stamped it with Real Red ink on white card stock, then cut it with the coordinating Christmas Cardinal die. I sponged the edges with Crumb Cake ink for a vintage look. I also sponged the edges of the Garden Green wreath, which I cut with the All-Around Wreath die.

Stampin_up_toile_christmas_carolpaynestamps1

I put the Champagne Foil wreath together with the Garden Green wreath with snippets of stampin' dimensionals, then added Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels with a Take Your Pick Tool.

Stampin’ Up! Toile Christmas Cardinal!

Stampin’ Up! Toile Christmas Cardinal!

Hey there! Yesterday was a very productive day, stamping-wise, as well as a fun day with my granddaughter, Darcy! She painted with water, stamped with a fun retired set I had saved for her, played with stickers, and ended the day with a 4-wheeler ride in the dark with her PaPa and I! We stay strictly on farm ground, no roads whatsoever, on well-worn paths mostly, so very safe! It was chilly, so we put on coats and wedged her between us so she stayed warm! Sweet memories!

Today I want to share with you an ornament I created with the Toile Tidings Suite on pages 6-9 of the Holiday Catalog:

Stampin_up_toile_christmas_carolpaynestamps1

I have to say this turned out exactly the way I imagined it in my head!

I sponged the edges of the white heat-embossed cardinal and the Garden Green wreath with Crumb Cake ink for a vintage look.

Stampin_up_toile_christmas_carolpaynestamps2

I added Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels for pops of color.
