Stampin’ Up! Bluey for Fiona!
Hey there! Today's card could be classified as "punch art", except I didn't use any punches! I created a special "Bluey" card for my 2 year-old granddaughter, Fiona, who loves to watch the Australian hit cartoon show, "Bluey". If you aren't familiar with it then you probably don't have any littles in your family right now, but once you see it you will be hooked! It's a skillfully crafted show for young and old alike! I love to watch the love and nonsense, as well as life lessons, this show presents!
Instead of punches I used a set of dies from the January/June Mini Catalog called Beautiful Shapes!
With the addition of the ears this card will not fit in our regular medium envelopes, but if you shortened the base of the card to take the length of the ears into account you could make it fit.
Basically, I used the shapes of the dies to create the parts of the Bluey face. I had to do a little bit of snipping to create the nose and mouth, but that is all. I used a White Stampin' Chalk Marker to add the light to her eyes. I cut the letters for Fiona's name from Night of Navy card stock using Playful Alphabet dies. I added Adhesive Sheet to the back of the card stock before cutting so it would be easy to adhere to the card.
Inside I used a sentiment from the Happiest of Birthdays stamp set with Night of Navy ink, then added hearts from the From All of Us stamp set ( I will show you the cards I made with that set tomorrow!) using Daffodil Delight ink.
I had fun making this "punch art" (actually "die art") for Fiona! I've been told she has been carrying it around the house this week kissing it and saying "blue"!
