Stampin’ Up! Best of Flowers #4!

Stampin’ Up! Best of Flowers #4!

Good morning! Hope you are having a good day! I am, or at least will once I get a little bit more awake! Spending time here on my blog with you all helps get me going!

Here's the final card I created for my "Best Of . . " class this weekend. I loved this little hydrangea stamp when it was a big stamp in the Hostess set a couple of years ago, and I love it even more now as a miniature of the original!

I did the "Stained Glass" technique for this card. Heat embossed the flower with White Embossing Powder on White Vellum cardstock, then flipped it over and colored the back side of the vellum with Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery Stampin' Write Markers. When you flip the vellum back over to the white embossed side the color shows through the frosty paper, giving it a soft and pretty look! I attached the vellum layer to the white layer underneath with 3 Glue Dots behind the colored areas of the flower so they don't show through.

Everything is cut out with the Floral Frames Framelits and the Big Shot. I dug out my long-neglected pack of Twitterpated Designer Paper for the color scheme of Certainly Celery, Marina Mist, & Whisper White! The greeting is from Friendly Phrases.

Inside I used Beautiful Birthday again, just like I did for this card HERE. I love the font and size of this stamp, it's perfect for a soft, feminine card like this one.

Well, now that I am awake, I need to get busy! Today's class starts at 1 p.m.!

See you tomorrow for another Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Best of Love “Read My Lips”!

Stampin’ Up! Best of Love “Read My Lips”!

Good morning! Can I just say, while I am always a little sad when Sale-a-bration is over for the year, if SAB this year went on much longer I'd be worn down to a nub? Seems like everyone decided to cram their final SAB workshop into this week! (pay no attention to the whining, I'm actually having a blast!)

One of my workshop hostesses last night, Rhonda, is a Mary Kay Consultant, so I customized a Fancy Favor Box for her using the "read my lips" stamp from the February 25th Anniversary stamp set, Best of Love!

I quite delighted with it, so much so that I need to  make another one for myself!

Supplies used: Pink Pirouette & Basic Black cardstock, Fancy Favor Box BigzXL Die with the Big Shot, Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Folder, Paper Daisies, Vintage Faceted Buttons, 1/8" Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon, Basic Black & Melon Mambo ink, Hearts A Flutter Framelits, Stamping Sponges, and Crystal Effects!

That's all for now! I have 22 swap fronts waiting for me to finish them before I head to Nashville, IL tonight for my final SAB workshop, then tomorrow morning it's off to St. Louis Stampin' Up! Regional!

Until tomorrow (if I survive), have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’Up! Greetings of the Season and More Merry Messages!

Stampin’Up! Greetings of the Season and More Merry Messages!

Just a quick post today, my blog is finally back up and running! Although the projects I had posted prior to November 10th were still here, ALL the posts I had tried to posts since then were repeatedly lost! Everytime I tried to post, my blog platform (I don't totally understand it either) was throwing me out, back to my login, and the post would be gone! SO FRUSTRATING! I finally gave up for awhile, then emailed the blog people who told me I probably had a CORRUPT COOKIE???? WHAT are THOSE? Well, I had to wait for my son, Logan, to come home from college for Thanksgiving to show me how to FIND this cookie so we could delete it. Once we did that, voila! I am back to blogging!

Fun stuff going on with Stampin'Up! right now too, so I was really anxious about not being able to post! Check my side bars, my facebook page for all the details:

and my Stampin' Up! Online Store:

Here's a card from my Holiday Card Bonanza earlier this week using the Greetings of the Season stamp set and the Snow Flurry Bigz Die. The new Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Folder was used on the card base.

Greetings of the season 1

We used designer paper from the Snow Festival Designer Series Paper on the front and a verse from "More Merry Messages" (a stamp set from the Annual Catalog which is on sale right now for 25% off!)

The Mitten Punch finished off the inside. Demonstrators just received our Occasions Catalog beginning January 3, 2013 and it includes a list of Holiday Catalog products that are being carried over, which means you will still be able to order them after the Holiday catalog is over and the Mitten Punch IS NOT ON THE CARRY OVER LIST! So if you were waiting to order this punch, don't, it could be gone before the Holiday Catalog is over, you never know!

That's all for today. Hopefully I will be back tomorrow with another post (as long as my cookies don't get corrupted again! lol!)

Have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon Cards!

Stampin’ Up! 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon Cards!

Still finding un-published projects! These cards I made back in September when Stampin' Up! was featuring our 3/8' Stitched Satin Ribbon "Back to Spool" special!

These first two feature Summer Starfruit & Midnight Muse:

Some quick tips for putting these together with the Jumbo Sticky Rounds in the Holiday Catalog. Cut the ornament shape with an Holiday Ornament Framelit:

Ribbon 1
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

Emboss across card front layer with one of the folder strips from the Delicate Designs Textured Impressions Pack:

Ribbon 2
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

Position ornament layer over card front base layer. Trace inside ornament opening with Simply Scored Scoring Tool onto base layer of card. Remove ornament layer after scoring.

Ribbon 4
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

Peel off white paper side of Jumbo Sticky Round.

Ribbon 5
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

Position Jumbo Sticky Round directly over the scored ornament lines on card front base. Rub Jumbo Sticky Round firmly into cardstock. "Burnish" with your finger really well.

Ribbon 6
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

Remove red plastic layer to expose the sticky side of the round.

Ribbon 7
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

Attach small scrap strips of ribbon or ribbon you cut to fit the Sticky Round, making sure the ribbon extends over the traced edges of the ornament you can see through the adhesive.

Ribbon 8
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

Last step (not shown) is to add the cut-out ornament layer with Stampin' Dimensionals under each corner and a couple close to the inside edges of the ornament opening. Finish card with additional embellishments and words as desired.

There you have it!

That's all for today! Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! Day!

Stampin’Up! NEW Annual 2012-2013 Catalog is HERE!

I really must apologize for the lack of blogging the past few days. I've been head-down getting ready for this weekend! LOTS going on around here! I had my New Catalog "Crazy Day" Open House yesterday, and WOW it WAS CRAZY! Over 40 stampers showed up to get their new sprial bound catalog from me, pick up unbound catalogs for friends who couldn't come, sign up for classes and product shares, view new catalog samples, and stamp two cute Make n' Takes!

Here's one (two actually, as their was a choice between these two samples):

Box 1
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

Aren't these CUTE!!!???!!!! They are just a simple little box with a wrap around them. I learned how to make these from Becky Roberts, and then got busy with new DSP and colors! Here's the side view:

Box 2
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

We used the new "Summer Smooches" and "Floral District" Designer Paper for these, as well as the new "Itty Bitty Banners" stamp set and "Bitty Banners" Framelits! They open like this:

Box 3
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

I will post the simple cutting and scoring directions for these tomorrow, but right now I've got to run, we are taking Logan to college in Rolla, MO, which is a 3 hour drive, so have to get the ball rolling for that!

Until tomorrow, have a "Stampingrox!" Day!

Stampin’ Up! Brides & Babies Class Samples!

Stampin’ Up! Brides & Babies Class Samples!

Good morning! It's "Brides & Babies" class day here at my house! I showed you the "Babies" part of the class yesterday, and now it's time for the "Brides"!

This first sample is a CASE of a swap I received at Leadership in January created by Tamie Ackerson. I've been waiting five MONTHS to show this to you and actually created the class just so I could make this card with my stampers! For awhile I thought I wasn't going to get the job done, as this set, "Love & Laughter" was in the now-ended Occasions Mini Catalog, but after receiving my NEW ANNUAL CATALOG early (which is one of the perks of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator!), I was very excited to see that this set will now be available for the next whole year! Yay!

Love and laughter 1
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

Next I have another CASE, this time of a beautiful card I found on the blog of Robin Merriman! I met Robin at my very first Founder's Circle Retreat in 2008, and she is just a beautiful person inside and out! The shimmer on the Very Vanill embossed surfaces is from the "Frost White Shimmer Paint" I sponge-daubered onto it! Sadly, the lovely scalloped border on the lower edge of the embossed panel is from the retiring "Lace Ribbon Border Punch", which will only be available for 12 more days!

Loving thoughts 1

I really like the inside, which is my own design:

Loving thoughts 2
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

Last but not least, this is our final "Brides & Babies" class card, the Bride & Groom! I've been dying to make a card like this for a couple of years, so the idea is obviously not new, but I just hadn't come up with an acceptable template for the dress and wasnt' sure how to go about making the "tux" until I ran across some little cheapy-looking wedding dress shower favor boxes at my local dollar store and the lightbulb came on! After using one side of the box as my template to trace out the dress form, I then realized that the "Pennant Builder Punch" would be perfect for the tux' shirt! After punching the shirt from Shimmery White cardstock to match the dress, I layered the triangle onto a scrap of Basic Black and hand-cut the lapels. I used my Versamarker (on the retired list!) along the black lapel edges, then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

Bride and groom 1
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

I put a matching petal-snipped Itty Bitty Shapes Punch scalloped flower inside to match the one on the dress sash! The pearl has been colored pink with a permanent marker. It dries quickly so it's not messy to handle when you are ready to apply to the card!

Bride & groom 2
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

Well, I'd better run! I have a few more things to get ready before my stampers start arriving at 10 a.m.!

Until tomorrow, have a "Stampingrox!" Day!
