Stampin’ Up! Secret Garden Masked Corners!

Good morning! I have a few pics of my grandsons I want to share to start out today! I've been blessed to get to spend quite a bit of time with them since I got home from Fiji, so here they are!

Cohen helping Mark (aka "Pa Pa") clean up the deck area where we keep the wood for the woodstove.

Our shovel is just the right size for Cohen to manage!

Jaxon on the same day hanging out with us. He's not quite into helping Pa Pa yet!

Liam and I ran errands at Walmart yesterday!

He has a "giggle game" he likes to "play" on his mommy's IPad!

Last night Cohen graduated from Tuesday school! He will start kindergarten in the fall.

Cohen wants to be the Incredible Hulk when he grows up!

Last Thursday I also got to go with Alisa while she finished her baby registrys at Babies R Us and Target! Not much longer till Oakley is here!

Today I have another card from my Punch/Technique Class this month. This one was inspired by Wendy Wexler again. I don't think she had a name for this technique, but I call it "Masked Corners":

Stampin’Up! Flower Fair Simply Scrappin’ Kit Cards Part 4!

Good morning! Today is a Liam day, so I will be out the door here in a few. Just wanted to show you the final two cards from my Flower Fair Simply Scrappin' Kit Card Class this past weekend!

With this card I used the "triple-time" technique, but instead of stamping, I used the designer paper in the Kit!

Dimensions
for Triple Time with Designer Paper:

Card
layer: 4 ¼” x 11, scored at 5 ½”

First
layer of Designer Paper: 4” x 5 ¼”

Second
layer of cardstock: 4 ¼” x 3 ½”

Third
layer of Designer Paper: 4” x 3 ¼”

Fourth
layer of cardstock: 2 ¾” x 3 ¾”

Fifth
layer of Designer Paper: 2 ½” x 3 ½”

Sixth
layer of cardstock: 2” x 2 ¾”

7^th
layer (can be cardstock, Designer Paper, or on this sample a self-adhesive die-cut): 1 ¾” x
2 ½”

Tip #2: Use Stamp-a-majig and Vellum sheet to stamp
“Oh, Hello” between the printed flowers on the self-adhesive die-cut”

Beautiful Birthday with some Bitty Butterflies, Basic Jewel Rhinestones, and a 7/8" Scallop Circle Flower the inside says it all for this card!

For my final class card I combined my favorite "happy birthday" greeting EVER from You're Amazing with the Blossom Punch and a few of the self-adhesive die-cuts in the kit. After stamping the greeting and punching with the punch I then embossed the Whisper White layer with the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder.

Stampin’ Up! Best of Flowers #4!

Good morning! Hope you are having a good day! I am, or at least will once I get a little bit more awake! Spending time here on my blog with you all helps get me going!

Here's the final card I created for my "Best Of . . " class this weekend. I loved this little hydrangea stamp when it was a big stamp in the Hostess set a couple of years ago, and I love it even more now as a miniature of the original!

I did the "Stained Glass" technique for this card. Heat embossed the flower with White Embossing Powder on White Vellum cardstock, then flipped it over and colored the back side of the vellum with Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery Stampin' Write Markers. When you flip the vellum back over to the white embossed side the color shows through the frosty paper, giving it a soft and pretty look! I attached the vellum layer to the white layer underneath with 3 Glue Dots behind the colored areas of the flower so they don't show through.

Everything is cut out with the Floral Frames Framelits and the Big Shot. I dug out my long-neglected pack of Twitterpated Designer Paper for the color scheme of Certainly Celery, Marina Mist, & Whisper White! The greeting is from Friendly Phrases.

Stampin’ Up! Patterned Occasions Latte Love!

Happy Tuesday stampers! I had an enjoyable day with Liam yesterday. Mondays are often a hard day for little guys because all of their routines are messed up by the weekend and especially Sundays. They just can't get all of their normal naps during church, which makes for a hard night on Sunday sometimes and a sleepy Monday. This was the case for Liam today, but he wasn't actually cranky, just snuggly more (which I sure didn't mind!), a little more attention-needy than normal (which I also didn't mind!) and took an extra nap today. Tonight and tomorrow he will be back to normal, but I don't go back to see him until Friday, sigh. . .

The third card we made Saturday used the cup stamp from Patterned Occasions, that fun, free Sale-a-bration set again! I've found this stamp used in alot of rich, earthy colors, but I wanted to try something a bit more feminine, and I believe I achieved just what I had in mind, what do you think?

Basic Gray card base, Fancy Fan-embossed Pool Party layer, Tea Lace Doily, Floral Frames Framelit-cut Sycamore Street Designer Paper layer, and Pool Party 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon. The cup was stamped twice, once in Basic Gray on a Whisper White Floral Frames Framelit-cut layer, then again with Pool Party ink on a Whisper White scrap. The Pool Party cup has been hand-cut with Paper Snips and mounted with a Stampin' Dimensional.

Same color/paper scheme on the inside, with the greeting, Beautiful Birthday, stamped with Pool Party ink!

Overall a very quick and easy card!

Unfortunately for me, I had to take a break from my taxes and deal with my eyes and then my monthly class this past weekend, so my taxes are still NOT done! I plan to spend most of today tackling the paperwork to get them done, with a break in the evening to go to Galatia to stamp with those lovely ladies for my second Punch/Technique Class for the month!

Wish me luck to get my taxes done quickly so I can get back to stampin'!
