Stampin’ Up! Best of Flowers #4!

Stampin’ Up! Best of Flowers #4!

Good morning! Hope you are having a good day! I am, or at least will once I get a little bit more awake! Spending time here on my blog with you all helps get me going!

Here's the final card I created for my "Best Of . . " class this weekend. I loved this little hydrangea stamp when it was a big stamp in the Hostess set a couple of years ago, and I love it even more now as a miniature of the original!

I did the "Stained Glass" technique for this card. Heat embossed the flower with White Embossing Powder on White Vellum cardstock, then flipped it over and colored the back side of the vellum with Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery Stampin' Write Markers. When you flip the vellum back over to the white embossed side the color shows through the frosty paper, giving it a soft and pretty look! I attached the vellum layer to the white layer underneath with 3 Glue Dots behind the colored areas of the flower so they don't show through.

Everything is cut out with the Floral Frames Framelits and the Big Shot. I dug out my long-neglected pack of Twitterpated Designer Paper for the color scheme of Certainly Celery, Marina Mist, & Whisper White! The greeting is from Friendly Phrases.

Inside I used Beautiful Birthday again, just like I did for this card HERE. I love the font and size of this stamp, it's perfect for a soft, feminine card like this one.

Well, now that I am awake, I need to get busy! Today's class starts at 1 p.m.!

See you tomorrow for another Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’Up! Owl Builder Punch Overalls!

Stampin’Up! Owl Builder Punch Overalls!

Happy Tuesday Stampers! Sunday afternoon, Kimberly & I started figuring out the invitations for her baby shower in May. Her colors for the baby's room (a boy! but he doesn't have a name yet) are Basic Black, Basic Gray, Cherry Cobbler and White. Come to think of it, her whole house is almost all this color too, so she really must love it! As soon as we decided to use these colors for her shower invitation, I knew exactly what I wanted to do, adorable little overalls made from the vest of the Owl Builder Punch!

The clouds are from "Send Me Soaring" in the Occasions Mini, the clothesline is Cherry Cobbler/White Baker's Twine, and the pockets are from the 1/4" Square Punch (now retired), but you could substitute the squares that are cut out with the Candywrapper Die. The tiny heart pocket is also from the Owl Builder Punch.

The overalls are punched from Basic Black cardstock, Cherry Cobbler Patterns Designer Paper, and Twitterpated Designer Paper. I used my Paper Snips to cut the little "v" in the bottom edge of the punched vest to create the legs of the overalls.

We have made 75 of these, which will be going out in the mail next week after she gets her baby registry set up.

Until tomorrow, have a "Stampingrox!" day!
