Stampin’ Up! Petite Pennants Builder Candy Corn!

Stampin’ Up! Petite Pennants Builder Candy Corn!

Hey there! I've got something super cute to show you today! My hostess in Golconda, IL today wanted a project using the 1" x 8" Cellophane Bags, and she likes punch art, so we are making these:

Candy corn pennants 1
Aren't these little candy corn guys cute?!? I stamped the snowman face from Snow Day on one of the corns and I'm in LOVE!!!!

The other corn I stamped with "it's all about the candy" from Halloween Hello.

The candy corns themselves are 3/4" strips of Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight from the Polka Dot Parade Designer Paper package and a 3/4" strip of Very Vanilla polka-dot from the Neutrals Color Collection Designer Series Paper Stack adhered to a scrap of Very Vanilla, then punched with the Petitie Pennants Builder Punch.

The background of the tag is from the Truly Grateful, cut with the largest Chalk Talk Framelit, then matted with a piece of Early Espresso. I cut the corners of the E.E. layer with my Paper Snips to coordinate with the corners of the Chalk Talk tag.

After filling the 1" x 8" Cellophane Bag with M & M's, (I used a clean drinking straw to poke them down into the bag and get them to lay correctly) I closed the bag with the adhesive strip on the bag and then stapled it to the back of the tag. I covered the staple on the front with a bow tied from 1/8" Pumpkin Pie Taffeta Ribbon.

Here's the completed project:

Candy corn pennants 2
This was so easy and so FUN!

These would make great Halloween treats, wouldn't they? To order your cellophane bags, Petite Pennants Builder Punch, and Chalk Talk Framelits, go to my Online Store! You can order just about anything else used on this project there too, except for the M & M's and the stapler!

That's all for today! Thanks so much for stopping in to see what I've been up to! Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Megan daves 1
Meg Daves also used the Circle Card Thinlet Die and Winter Frost Designer Paper, adding a current Holiday Catalog snowflake from the Festive Flurry set which she cut out with a coordinating Festive Flurry Framelit!

Meg finished her "flip" side with a phrase from the Holiday Catalog set, Christms Messages.

Tamie ackerson 1
Tamie Ackerson combined the Christmas Collectibles stamp & punch with the tried-and-true Northern Flurry Textured Impressions Folder and the new Stylish Stripes Folder. The "hanger" for the ornament is the new 1/8" Silver ribbon.

Tamie ackerson 2
Tamie stamped the inside of her card with one of the four fun greetings in the Joy to the World set.

Karen kurz 1
Karen Kurz white heat-embossed the cute little Snow Day snowman on Coastal Cabana cardstock, then stamped the snowflakes from the same set to complement the Winter Frost Designer Specialty Paper.

Karen kurz 2
Circle Thinlet Cards are really hot right now, and a fun feature of the die is the ability to add an extra flap, which Karen did for hers. She used a phrase from Petite Pairs to finish this card off just right!

Cathy stephenson 1
Last but definitely not least, Cathy Stephenson used the "dryer sheet" technique to add the look of snow over her stamped "Lovely As a Tree" trees.

Cathy stephenson 2 p
"Merry Christmas" from More Merry Messages says it all.

That's all for now. Thanks so much for stopping by today. Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’Up! O Holy Night!

Stampin’Up! O Holy Night!

I did a bit of Pinterest searching today and found some Founder's Circle swaps posted. I was found this card swapped by Shelli Gardner, Co-Founder of Stampin' Up! and her daughter, Sara Douglas:

66cbd60df466d0b1ec0adbced132bae7
I was inspired to create this card for my Christmas Card Class this month:

Oh holy night

I used the O Holy Night stamp set, Gold Heat Embossing, Pretty Print Textured Impressions Folder, Gold Metallic Encore Pad,  and Apothecary Accents Framelits.

O holy night 2

Inside I used the new single stamp Magical Season and the star stamp from O Holy Night.

Oh holy night 3

Up close you can see I added an Antique Brad, accented by a bit of Victoria Crochet Trim and a bit of 1 1/4" Burlap Trim that I cut down and snipped into banner ends.

O holy night 4
We don't carry gold brads, but we do have silver, so I dipped my silver brad in the Gold Metallic Pad, then in the Gold Embossing Powder. I held the brad with tweezers while I heated with my Heat Tool. The bow is a single thread from the 1 1/4" Burlap Trim.

That's all for now! I will be busy all day tomorrow cutting paper and finalizing my projects for both my SWOW class and my Christmas Card Class. Let me know if you want to come stamp with me Friday from 1-9 or Saturday from 1-6!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’Up! Reinker Blowing Technique with Magnificent Maple!

Stampin’Up! Reinker Blowing Technique with Magnificent Maple!

Hello! I know I'm really late posting today, but I had the first session of my SWOW/Christmas Card Class today and I'm just now getting time to post!

However, you are in for a real treat, because I had some time to play this evening while my last stamper was here (hey, Natasha!) and I made THIS:

Reinker blowing 1

I'm really excited about it! I LOVE it! I used the Reinker Blowing Technique to layer the fall colors for my leaf: Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry, Rich Razzleberry, and Old Olive.

Reinker blowing 4

To do the Reinker Blowing Technique all you need  are Classic Ink refills in your colors of choice and a common, ordinary drinking straw! I started with my Tangerine Tango reinker first. I put a couple of drops (enough to make a reinker "puddle") on the Very Vanilla cardstock in the lower third, then immediately started blowing the reinker across the cardstock with the straw. The reinker will stream across the cardstock pretty much any way it wants, but you can direct it a little with the direction and force of your blowing. (Don't blow too much for too long without taking a break or you might get light-headed. Ask me how I know this. ha!) I repeated the process with Crushed Curry, then Rich Razzleberry, and finally with Old Olive. After the I had blown all the colors across the cardstock once, I then added & blew more drops of color wherever I felt like needed more of that color. The cardstock on the above left shows approximately what the blown reinker looks like. The leaf on the right is after I cut it out with the Autumn Accents Bigz Die and then sponged Chocolate Chip ink on all the edges. I actually used the backside of the leaf instead of the front because the backside had more of the Tangerine Tango color in the center as you can see in the picture below:

Reinker blowing 5

I used the new set, Lots of Thanks, from the Annual Catalog for my greeting and inside sentiment. I stamped them in Chocolate Chip, as well as the Magnificent Maple stamp all around the edges of the Very Vanilla layer. My card base is Chocolate Chip with a Cajun Craze layer under the Very Vanilla layer. After stamping all the maple leaves around the edges I ran it through the Big Shot in the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Folder, then sponged the edges with Chocolate Chip ink.

Reinker blowing 3
I cut the banner around the "thank you" greeting with one of the new Circle Card Framelit Dies. I dirtied up the Summer Starfruit 3/8" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon with Chocolate Chip ink before tying in a bow and adding a Vintage Trinket safety pin!

Reinker blowing 2

Inside I stamped the Magnificent Maple around the edges of the Very Vanilla layer with Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, and Chocolate Chip before adding a bit more Chocolate Chip sponging all around!

Well, I'm yawning my head off, so I'd better close and head to bed!

Stampin’ Up! Joyful Christmas!

Stampin’ Up! Joyful Christmas!

Good morning! Today is a special day for me! Today is my 36th wedding anniversary! yay! My sweet hubby and I are in Branson, MO for a few days. Last night we saw the "Shepherd of the Hills" outdoor pageant. We saw it a few years ago and liked it so much we decided to see it again. It was just as good as the first time!

Today I have another card we will be making at my Christmas Card Class this coming Friday and Saturday using the Holiday Catalog set, Joyful Christmas, the Circle Thinlet Card Die, Season of Style Designer Paper, and Gold Foil Sheets:

Joyful christmas 1
I was inspired by a card made by Corinne Somerville from Canada!

Joyful christmas 6
All stamps used are from the Joyful Christmas stamp set, and the colors of Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake are taken directly from the colors in the Season of Style Designer Paper. I used the Gold Foil Sheets to punch the flower centers with the Cupcake Builder punch.

That's all for now. I'm not sure just what we are up to today, but anytime spent with my sweetheart is time well spent!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Fun Snow Day!

Stampin’ Up! Fun Snow Day!

Good morning and happy Monday! I have a fun card for you today! We are going to make this card this coming weekend at my Christmas Card Class! Want to come?

Fun snow day 1

I started with a Pool Party base, then added a layer of Winter Frost Specialty Designer Paper. Another layer of Pool Party, then a Whisper White layer that I stamped with the Snow Day snowman with Pool Party ink. I created his hat by stamping with Versamark on a Silver Foil Sheet, then heat-embossed with Silver Embossing Powder. I hand-trimmed the hat with my Paper Snips. "oh WHAT fun" from Christmas Messages was silver heat-embossed on Whisper White, then punched with the Label Bracket Punch. Another Pool Party-punched Label Bracket was cut diagonally to mat behind the first label, then I punched a Silver Foil Sheet with the Extra Large Oval Punch to mat behind it all.

Fun snow day 2

Inside is stamped with another phrase from Christmas Messages in Versamark, then silver-embossed. The snowflakes  and "warm wishes" phrase are stamped in Pool Party.

Well, that's all for now! I really excited about my class this weekend! Hope you can come!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!
