Stampin’ Up! Envelope Punch Board Treat Pocket!

Stampin’ Up! Envelope Punch Board Treat Pocket!

Hey there! I have another fun project using the Envelope Punch Board today! It's another treat holder, this time using Winter Frost Specialty Designer Paper, the Best of Christmas Stamp set, and the Christmas Ornament Punch!

Stampin_up_winter_frost_pocket_treat_1

This project is QUICK, QUICK, QUICK! Just cut your paper to size, score and punch with the Envelope Punch Board, fold, adhere with a bit of SNAIL adhesive, and embellish! After I stamped the ornament with Island Indigo ink, I punched it out with the Christmas Ornament Punch. I tied a bit of Whisper White Organza Ribbon around the pocket, then adhered the ornament to the pocket with Stampin' Dimensionals. This little pocket fits a single piece of the "G" brand chocolates perfectly!

Stampin_up_winter_frost_pocket_treat_3

For the final touch I added a bit of bling to the ornament with my Silver Dazzling Details! It complements the Smoky Slate in the Winter Frost Specialty Designer Paper perfectly!

Stampin_up_winter_frost_pocket_treat_2

I used one of the stamps from the Christmas Collectibles stamp set on the back side because it already has a "to:" and "from" in it! This would be a perfect co-worker gift, wouldn't it?

In case you haven't seen the Envelope Punch Board in action, here's a video by Stampin' Up! showcasing the basics of operation and how to make a custom envelope with it:

Stampin’Up! Wonderful Blessing Ornament!

Stampin’Up! Wonderful Blessing Ornament!

Hey there! We had a wonderful Saturday with our house full of family, good food, fun games, a personality quiz, and lots of laughter!

Cohen & Jaxon spent the night so Johnny & Jessica & Ava could take Maddie Kate to her first Cheer Competition in Mt Vernon, and Kimmy & Liam spent the night just because! SO FUN!

My project to share with you today is another from my upcoming Christmas Catch-up Class on December 13th! If you are local to me, please let me know of your intentions to come!

We will be using the Wonderful Blessing Single Stamp to create this easy ornament. I white heat-embossed the image on Midnight Muse cardstock, then cut it out with one of the Circle Collection Framelits. I layered it on a Silver Glimmer circle, then another Midnight Muse circle. I used my hot glue gun to add the 1/8" Silver Ribbon to the back of the ornament.

Stampin_up_wonderful_blessing_1

Up super-close you can see the fine detail of the Wonderful Blessing image. I added just a touch of bling with a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the Christmas star.

Stampin_up_wonderful_blessing_3

On the back side I covered the hot-glued ribbon with a circle of Winter Frost Specialty Designer Paper, then a Whisper White circle that I stamped with one of the phrases from More Merry Messages with Midnight Muse ink.

Stampin_up_wonderful_blessing_2

This is really an easy ornament. I need to make a few more of these even before the class on the 13th!

That's all for now. Thanks so much for stopping by. You can order the supplies to make your own from my Online Store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

This will be one of the projects you can choose to make:

Stampin’ Up! Hexagon Dahlia Fold for Christmas!

Stampin’ Up! Hexagon Dahlia Fold for Christmas!

Hey there! I still have a couple of cards from my weekend class to share. Today's card features a new fancy-fold I just learned using the Hexagon Punch!

Stampin_up_winterfrost_hexagon_dahlia_fold1

I decided to use Winter Frost Designer Paper with Pool Party, Island Indigo, and Whisper White cardstock. I embossed a Pool Party layer with the Perfect Polka Dot Textured Impressions Folder. I silver heat-embossed the "merry" from Snowflake Soiree, then cut it out with an Ovals Collection Framelit and matted it on another Ovals Collection Framelit-cut Island Indigo layer.

For the Hexagon Dahlia Fold I used the Simply Scored Scoring Boad and Tool. It was actually pretty easy to score the two lines needed to fold because the Hexagons have built-in corners to know where to line up to do my scoring!

003

After I scored my two lines, I folded my paper along them, then creased them sharply with my Bone Folder. After adhering all 6 of my folded hexagons to a 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" Island Indigo square, I pierced a hole in the center with my Paper-Piercing Tool and inserted a Silver Glimmer Brad from the Basics pack. I then adhered to a 3" x 3" square of Silver Glimmer paper. I added a wrap and bow of 1/8" Silver Ribbon for my finishing touch!

Stampin_up_winterfrost_hexagon_dahlia_fold2

I silver heat-embossed a phrase from Christmas Messages for the inside, and added a 1/2" strip of coordinating Winter Frost paper to pull the inside & outside together.

That's all for now. Today's the last day of this Weekly Deal:

Stampin’ Up! Joyful Tidings!

Stampin’ Up! Joyful Tidings!

Hey there! I want to share this card I created for my Christmas Card Class this Friday using Christmas Messages, Pretty Print Textured Impressions Folder, Silver Glimmer Paper, Deco Label Framelits, Winter Frost Designer Specialty Paper, and White Organza Ribbon! My cardbase is a Smokey Slate Cut & Ready Card Base. I love using them when I need to get a project ready in a hurry!

Joyful tidings 1
I used my Island Indigo Stampin' Write Marker to add a little bit of color on the edges of the focal image, then added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the center of the "o" in "joyful".

Joyful tidings 2
I repeated the Deco Labels on the inside, using the Prince of Peace Single Stamp and the "merry christmas" from Teeny Tiny Wishes punched with the Word Window Punch on the side.

Well, I've got to finish everything for my classes! Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day and My Relaxing Day in Chester, IL!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day and My Relaxing Day in Chester, IL!

Hey there! I had a fun, relaxing day with my girls and Oakley at a wedding they were shooting in Chester, IL. I'd never been to Chester before, even though I've heard of it all my life! I didn't even realize until I got there that it was right on the Mississippi River!

The first place we went to shoot pictures of the bridal party was Cohen House. This really intrigued us because of Jessica's oldest little boy, Cohen. This is a really COOL house!

Cohen house 1
Located on a bluff high above the Mississippi, this house was built in 1855. Yes, that's right, eighteen fifty-five!

Cohen house 2
The sign says it was occupied by the Cohen Family until 1983. The City of Chester bought it in 1984 and maintain it as a Civic Center. I didn't get a chance to tour the inside, but a glimpse I did get (on my way to use the restroom) was gorgeous wood and beautifully maintained original architecture!

Cohen house 3
This is the back of the house as you approach from the street. The "front" of the house I showed you in the first picture faces the Mississippi.

Cohen house 4
Beautiful delicate stained glass.

Cohen house 5
It was a perfect October day with a clear view across the river into Missouri.

Cohen house 6
Alisa shot pics of the groom and his men first, then after they left, the bride and her maids came and had their turn.

Cohen house 7
The sun was so bright that Alisa had to shade her camera after every shot so she could check them!

The town of Chester was quite picturesque too. Many old but well-maintained homes built in approximately the same area as the Cohen Home gave it an aura of a bygone age. Next door to the Cohen House is a B&B called "Stone House". I wonder if I can get my hubby to come back here for a little weekend visit?

Even though I really enjoy sharing my adventure with you, I know you want most to see some pretty card inspiration, don't you? I hope these swaps won't disappoint:

Gina cardera calm christmas
Calm Christmas by Gina Cardera featuring a Frosted Finishes Embellishment.

Amy combs snowy day
Amy Combs version of Snow Day with Winter Frost Designer Paper and Festive Flurry.

Donna festive flurry
This swap using one of the Expressions Thinlets Dies was only stamped with the name "Donna".

Catherine stephenson christmas collectibles
And finally, Catherine Stephenson's Christmas Collectibles creation with Winter Frost Designer Paper and a 1/8" Silver Ribbon bow!

That's all for now. You can shop for your favorite products for any of these cards in my Online Store HERE

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!
