Carol Payne Stamps Very Vintage Host Set!

Carol Payne Stamps Very Vintage Host Set!

Hey there! Did you know Stampin' Up! has special stamps in the catalog for party hosts only?

Two ways to host! First,  invite friends to a party! I'll teach simple (or advanced, your choice!) stamping techniques while you create a couple of cards (aka Make n' Takes) for free. Or, skip the party, collect orders from friends and family totaling at least $150.  Contact me  or go directly to my online store to order. YOUR order counts too! Look over the Host Sets as you choose your Stampin' Rewards.

I created two slightly differing versions using Cajun Craze, Sahara Sand, Very Vanilla, and Crumb Cake:

I stamped-off Crumb Cake for the Burlap background, as well as the greeting frame, with Crumb Cake. The rest is stamped with Cajun Craze.

I created a three-loop bow, adding with glue dots. I punched the greeting and the mat with the Darling Label Punch.

All of the sentiments are included in Very Vintage!

In my second version I used more Crumb Cake:

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day September 10!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day September 10!

Hey there! Today is my 40th wedding anniversary! We've taken two trips, one to Chesapeake, VA to visit Mark's sister, and to Branson, MO, last week. Today we'll have a quiet day; church, dinner at home with the family, and church again.

On the stamping front, it's definitely fall around here. The nights are cooler, and the air is dry and  "dusty". To celebrate the beginning of fall, I'm sharing fall themed swaps using new Holiday Catalog products:

First,  Wendy Lee created with the Painted Harvest Bundle, using my fav, Burlap Background, on the Crumb Cake front, then stamping the sunflower with Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, and Early Espresso. The leaves are stamped with Old Olive and punched with the Leaf Punch.

Wendy  used the Classic Label Punch to create the slot for the Scalloped Tag Topper-punched slider.

Next, Kathy Johnson used the Painted Harvest Bundle, stamping her blooms with Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry.

Stampin_up_painted_harvest_carolpaynestamps3

She "fancy-cut" one bloom and a separate center to pop up on dimensionals. The leaves are Pear Pizzazz for the solid layer and Wild Wasabi for the leaf veins, punched with the Leaf Punch.

Ruth Bingle created a fun-folding card with Patterned Pumpkin Thinlets Dies and Spooky Night Designer Series Paper:

She used a Stitched Shapes Framelit for the background square:

Stampin_up_pick_a_pumpkin_carolpaynestamps2

A Paisleys & Posies sentiment coordinates with the Pick a Pumpkin images.

Finally, Cathy Miller used the Pinewood Planks Dynamic Textured Impressions Folder to emboss the Crushed Curry background, then used the Pick a Pumpkin Bundle to stamp and cut out the pumpkins and gourds. "Hello Fall!" from Merry Cafe and a bit of 5/8" Burlap Ribbon complete her creation:

Stampin’ Up! Thankful Tablescape For Our Thanksgiving!

Stampin’ Up! Thankful Tablescape For Our Thanksgiving!

Hey there! Just a quick post today! We are celebrating the day with family. I used the Stampin' Up! Thankful Tablescape Kit to make these for our table today:

Stampin_up_thankful_tablescape_1

I re-purposed some of the designer paper pieces in the kit to cut more leaves with my  Autumn Accents Bigz Die, and added some 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon around the belly-band.

I added a little bit of interest by sponging the leaves with Early Espresso ink.

I am assembling a bunch of these for our Thanksgiving Table so all of the adults and some of the kids have one. It does triple-duty as a napin/silverware holder, a place marker, and a "thankful for" list!

I used the Chalk Marker to write my SIL Debbie's name on the "blackboard".

Even though Thanksgiving will be over later today, you can still order the Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit until the end of the Holiday Catalog on January 2nd.
I'm going to order some extra so I can make more as our family grows in the coming year.

Supply List:

Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit #133463 $19.95

Thankful wood stamp #133313 $7.95

Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit & Thankful wood stamp Bundle #133341 $23.95

1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon #132140 $7.95

Autumn Accents Bigz Die #127812 $21.95

Stampin’Up! O Holy Night!

Stampin’Up! O Holy Night!

I did a bit of Pinterest searching today and found some Founder's Circle swaps posted. I was found this card swapped by Shelli Gardner, Co-Founder of Stampin' Up! and her daughter, Sara Douglas:

66cbd60df466d0b1ec0adbced132bae7
I was inspired to create this card for my Christmas Card Class this month:

Oh holy night

I used the O Holy Night stamp set, Gold Heat Embossing, Pretty Print Textured Impressions Folder, Gold Metallic Encore Pad,  and Apothecary Accents Framelits.

O holy night 2

Inside I used the new single stamp Magical Season and the star stamp from O Holy Night.

Oh holy night 3

Up close you can see I added an Antique Brad, accented by a bit of Victoria Crochet Trim and a bit of 1 1/4" Burlap Trim that I cut down and snipped into banner ends.

O holy night 4
We don't carry gold brads, but we do have silver, so I dipped my silver brad in the Gold Metallic Pad, then in the Gold Embossing Powder. I held the brad with tweezers while I heated with my Heat Tool. The bow is a single thread from the 1 1/4" Burlap Trim.

That's all for now! I will be busy all day tomorrow cutting paper and finalizing my projects for both my SWOW class and my Christmas Card Class. Let me know if you want to come stamp with me Friday from 1-9 or Saturday from 1-6!
