Stampin’ Up! Christmas Catch Up!Recap!

Hey there! Messy weather here today. My class had to be cancelled due to the yucky weather. Such a bummer. Of course, that also means I have a bunch of projects that don't get to be made by anyone. (insert sad face)

Since I have so many pretty project packets left over, I am offering them to you, completed, of course. Call, text, or email me your order, or click HERE to go to my online store and place an order of at least $25, and I will mail you four completed projects! You choose the ones you want! Orders must be placed by Midnight, December 17th, which is the last day to order for delivery before Christmas.

Here's a quick over-view of the projects to choose from:

Stampin’Up! Envelope Punch Board Gift Card Holders!

Stampin’Up! Envelope Punch Board Gift Card Holders!

Hey there! I have a couple more Gift Card Holders to share with you today. These are for the Ina Craft Fair Saturday, so I used some of my stash of  retired cardstock and designer paper.

Stampin_up_snow_day_gift_card_holder_1

This little cute guy is punched with the 2 1/2", 1 3/4", and 1 1/4" Circle Punches. His face and arms are stamped with Snow Day stamp set stamps. I created the belly band from and stamped the "warm wishes" on retired designer paper, and the gift card base with retired Confetti White cardstock.

Stampin_up_snow_day_gift_card_holder_2

On the back flap I stamped and punched out an image from the Very Merry Tags stamp set with the 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch. I haven't stamped directly on designer paper very much, but I really like the look!

Stampin_up_snow_day_gift_card_holder_3

Inside the flap I stamped the "to: from:", also from Very Merry Tags. The entire gift card holder was embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder.

Stampin_up_naughty_nice_gift_card_holder_1

I also created this simple Santa gift card holder with the Envelope Punch Board. I used Real Red 12"x12" Core'dinations cardstock because it is a great deal right now on the Clearance Rack. I accented the Basic Black bellyband with a Silver Glimmer faux "buckle" created by punching with the Petite Curly Label Punch first, then punching the Curly Label Punch around the negative space left from the first punch. The "HO HO HO" is from the Naughty & Nice This & That Rotary Stamp in the Holiday Catalog, punched with the Word Window punch.

Stampin_up_naughty_nice_gift_card_holder_2

Inside the flap I used the same "to: from:" from the Very Merry Tags set, stamped in Jet Black StazOn.

The dimensions for these giftcard holders are 6" x 6". To get the elongated shape, I started by putting a corner of the square at 3"on the Envelope Punch Board, punching, then scoring with the scoring tool included with the board. I turned the square a quarter turn, then put the new corner at 2 5/8", punching, then scoring. I turned the square a quarter turn again, then put the third corner at 3" again, punching, and then scoring. I turned the square a quarter turn one last time, put the fourth corner at 2 5/8" again, punched, and scored. I then snipped out the excess slivers of cardstock from along the sides of the flaps (once you have punched & scored with the Envelope Punch Board you will know what I am referring to)

The pocket for the gift card is secured with Glue Dots on the 3 closed flaps, leaving one flap un-glue-dotted to serve as the opening flap.

The dimensions for the bellyband is 1" x 8 1/2". I wrapped the strip of paper around the pocket, then secured it to itself with Glue Dots.

The snowman & the belt buckle are adhered to the bellybands with Stampin' Dimensionals.

While I am at it, let me give you the dimensions for cutting and scoring the Envelope Punch Board Treat Pocket I showed you HERE

Winter Frost Designer Paper is 4" x 4' square, scored and punched with all four corners at 1 3/4".

That's all for now! You can order all of the supplies to make today's projects (with the exception of the retired cardstock and designer paper) from my Online Store:

Stampin’ Up! Silver Snow Day!

Stampin’ Up! Silver Snow Day!

Hey there! Stampin' Up! has an awesome sale starting today, running until December 2nd. I will post the info for this sale in a minute, but first I need to show you this card I just created:

Stampin_up_snow_day_silver_1

THIS is ONE of the many reasons I am a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator!

I got positively giddy while creating this card! One of my stampers tonight at the Stamp-a-Stack I was doing asked me what colors besides the blue we were using to stamp the Snow Day snowman could you stamp him with. I listed Whisper White Craft ink and then it hit my brain that he would look awesome and snow-y in Silver Encore Metallic! So as soon as I arrived home I pulled out Basic Black and Smoky Slate cardstock and sat down to make it!

Stampin_up_snow_day_silver_2

I used the snowflake stamp from the Snow Day set around the snowman, and then used the finest splatter stamp from Gorgeous Grunge, inked in Silver Encore Metallic and then stamped off, to add fine snow around and over the whole thing.

See his eyes? I stamped the snowman face first with Silver Encore Metallic, but it didn't show up very well with silver stamped on silver, so I stamped over it with Jet Black StazOn ink and ended up with an almost ghosted-look for this smile and his eyes look like he is looking up!

Stampin_up_snow_day_3

Inside I combined the Snow Day snowflake with "Oh what fun!" from Christmas Messages and "a very merry Christmas to you" from More Merry Messages.

To get your own Snow Day set and Silver Encore Metallic inkpad, you can shop in my Online Store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Stampin’ Up! Merry Little Christmas Simply Created and Snow Day!

Stampin’ Up! Merry Little Christmas Simply Created and Snow Day!

Hey there! Switching gears today away from Serene Silhouettes to show you the other card we are making at my three workshops this week. The first one is the Crumb Cake Serene Silhouettes card I showed you HERE, and the second one is this:

Stampin_up_snow_day_simply_created_1

It's the ADORABLE little snowman again! I combined the Merry Little Christmas Simply Created Card Kit with my favorite Holiday Catalog set, Snow Day #131892 wood-mount $26.95 or #131895 clear-mount $18.95.

Stampin_up_snow_day_simply_created_2

We are stamping the snowman body with Pool Party ink instead of Coastal Cabana, which is the blue color in the Simply Created Kit, because I like the softer look of the Pool Party ink for snow. Another BONUS about this stamp set is this: because the snowman body is "stipple-y", you really can't stamp it badly! Even if some of the ink is missing it will still look ok! The face, arms, and buttons are very easy to place on the body too!

I LOVE this kit! It has enough pre-cut and scored card bases and supplies to make 8 cards. The only additional things you need are the stamps of your choice, ink, and adhesive!

Stampin_up_merry_little_christmas_simply_created

Inside I stamped the phrase from the Merry Little Christmas stamp set #131826 wood-mount $13.95 or #131829 clear-mount $10.95. This set was designed to bundle with the Merry Little Christmas Simply Created Card Kit: #133296 wood-mount $19.95 or #133287 clear-mount $17.95.

Stampin_up_snow_day_simply_created_3

I also stamped the snowflake from Snow Day randomly on this layer with Pool Party ink.

It's a fun card! My Thursday night workshop stampers loved it and Merry Little Christmas Simply Created Card Kits were ordered!

If you love this card too and want it to be your Christmas card, you can order all the supplies to make it (in a snap!) from my Online Store:

www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Did I mention the kit comes with envelopes and pre-cut Real Red Polka-dotted envelope liners too? LOVE!!!!!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day and My Relaxing Day in Chester, IL!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day and My Relaxing Day in Chester, IL!

Hey there! I had a fun, relaxing day with my girls and Oakley at a wedding they were shooting in Chester, IL. I'd never been to Chester before, even though I've heard of it all my life! I didn't even realize until I got there that it was right on the Mississippi River!

The first place we went to shoot pictures of the bridal party was Cohen House. This really intrigued us because of Jessica's oldest little boy, Cohen. This is a really COOL house!

Cohen house 1
Located on a bluff high above the Mississippi, this house was built in 1855. Yes, that's right, eighteen fifty-five!

Cohen house 2
The sign says it was occupied by the Cohen Family until 1983. The City of Chester bought it in 1984 and maintain it as a Civic Center. I didn't get a chance to tour the inside, but a glimpse I did get (on my way to use the restroom) was gorgeous wood and beautifully maintained original architecture!

Cohen house 3
This is the back of the house as you approach from the street. The "front" of the house I showed you in the first picture faces the Mississippi.

Cohen house 4
Beautiful delicate stained glass.

Cohen house 5
It was a perfect October day with a clear view across the river into Missouri.

Cohen house 6
Alisa shot pics of the groom and his men first, then after they left, the bride and her maids came and had their turn.

Cohen house 7
The sun was so bright that Alisa had to shade her camera after every shot so she could check them!

The town of Chester was quite picturesque too. Many old but well-maintained homes built in approximately the same area as the Cohen Home gave it an aura of a bygone age. Next door to the Cohen House is a B&B called "Stone House". I wonder if I can get my hubby to come back here for a little weekend visit?

Even though I really enjoy sharing my adventure with you, I know you want most to see some pretty card inspiration, don't you? I hope these swaps won't disappoint:

Gina cardera calm christmas
Calm Christmas by Gina Cardera featuring a Frosted Finishes Embellishment.

Amy combs snowy day
Amy Combs version of Snow Day with Winter Frost Designer Paper and Festive Flurry.

Donna festive flurry
This swap using one of the Expressions Thinlets Dies was only stamped with the name "Donna".

Catherine stephenson christmas collectibles
And finally, Catherine Stephenson's Christmas Collectibles creation with Winter Frost Designer Paper and a 1/8" Silver Ribbon bow!

That's all for now. You can shop for your favorite products for any of these cards in my Online Store HERE

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!
