Please Hang in There With Me!

Please Hang in There With Me!

Hey there! Just thought I had better check-in with you since it's been awhile since I have posted anything here. NO I have not quit Stampin' Up! YES I am excited about the new catalog coming in May!

So what is going on?

We made the decision in February to have my youngest daughter and her family (hubby and 6 littles, ages 8 months to 9) move in with us while they renovate a home they have purchased. This has been and continues to be a BIG undertaking. I am still working on going through my 20+year crafting stash (Stampin' Up! plus sewing and other craft endeavors), as well as figuring out the best place for everything I am keeping and deciding what to let go. Throw in the day-to-day of cooking, cleaning-up, laundry, etc., for a household which has grown from 3 to 11,  and you can probably imagine how busy my days are.

That said, I do have a few things made that I will be posting occasionally over the next few weeks. The Last Chance List from the 2022/23 Annual Catalog has posted, along with the Last Chance List for the January/April Mini Catalog. I will post links for those below.

You can contact me with any questions about the lists (or anything else stampy) by phone or text:

618-237-6281 or email me at: carol@carolpaynestamps.com

I hope to have this life-change under control by the time the new catalog goes live on May 2, 2023, so please keep checking in on me.

(Yep, I've seen the demonstrator-only PDF of the catalog and it is WONDERFUL!)

For now, here's the links download the Last Chance Lists:

Annual Catalog:

Download 2022-2023 AC LG PRINT PDF_Page Last Chance-3

January/April Mini Catalog:

Download Jan-Apr 2023 LARGE PRINT PDF_Page Last Chance-1

Everything on these lists is while supplies last. To place your orders soon, go directly to my online store:

www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Use this Host Code when your place your orders:

Hostess_Code04

Using this code will help me greatly. If you forget to use the host code, I have to call Stampin' Up! and have them add it for me. I can only add ten codes per month, so if I need to add more than that, I can't.

All of my monthly specials continue to apply to qualifying orders. I know I am currently behind with commitments, but once I get this crazy straightened out it will happen.

That's all for now! Have a Stampin' Rox! day!

Stampin’Up! Evergreen Silver Silent Night!

Stampin’Up! Evergreen Silver Silent Night!

Hey there! I guess you could say I'm on a "tree kick" right now. First I played with Serene Silhouettes and Lovely as a Tree, and today I played with a carryover list set, Evergreen!

Stampin_up_evergreen_1

I paired Midnight Muse cardstock with a Basic Gray mat layer (bet you thought it was Brushed Silver, didn't ya?) and Silver Encore Metallic ink from the Holiday Catalog.

Evergreen is so gorgeous! I stamped the solid trees on each side first, then breathed on the stamp again without re-inking to get the second and third stampings of the trees to give the illusion of depth and distance between the trees. The silver ink worked perfect with this simple technique!

The fine detail of the "Silent Night" tree stamp is just incredible:

Stampin_up_evergreen_2

Sometimes silver ink can be a bit gloppy, which I was afraid of with the tiny script of this stamp, but NO PROBLEM!!!

Stampin_up_evergreen_3

Inside I used the remaining two stamps in the set (this card is stamped ENTIRELY with the Evergreen stamp set) with Midnight Muse ink on the Whisper White layer, breathing on the stamp again to get several stampings from one inking.

That's all for now! It's "Friends & Family Day" at church this Sunday, which means I need to throw a lasagna in the oven to take for the "dinner-on-the-grounds"!

Here's your shopping list for this super-simple card:

Evergreen #127970 Wood-mount $25.95, #127973 Clear-mount $18.95

Midnight Muse 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock #126843 $6.95

Basic Gray 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock #121044 $6.95

Whisper White 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock #101650 $8.50

Silver Encore Mettalic inkpad #132142 $9.95

Midnight Muse Classic inkpad #126860 $5.95

You can purchase these supplies (and more!) in my Online Store:

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Last Butterfly Post for Awhile!

Stampin’ Up! Last Butterfly Post for Awhile!

Good morning! Today is a busy day! I am prepping for the Honduras Fundraiser tomorrow night. One of my dear friends and my downline, Jan Lacey, is trying to help her daughters raise the funds needed to participate in the "One Day, One Nation" mission trip to Honduras this summer. They have about half of what they need so far, so if you live near Mt Vernon, IL and would like to come make some nice cards, see some fun stamping demonstrations, and enjoy the fellowship of some of the nicest stampers I know, all for the $25 donation fee, come see us at the Wesley United Methodist Church on North Salem Road at 6:30 p.m tomorrow night, April 19! There will be doorprizes, snacks, and a Grand Prize drawing for one of these:

ToteSm_Can-300x258
Note: the free Craft Tote offer was a Stampin'Up! Demonstrator recruiting bonus that expired in 2010.This is just the best picture we have to show you what the Grand Prize looks like!

If you need any more info, please call me or text: 618-237-6281 TODAY!

Meanwhile, I wanted to show you a few more cute butterfly cards from the St Louis Regional:

Note: all products used are ©Stampin'Up!™1990-2013 unless otherwise stated.

Beautiful butterfly swallowtail

Beautiful butterfly swallowtail blue

Beautiful butterfly swallow tail pool party

All three of these samples were made with the gorgeous Swallowtail single stamp in the Occasions Catalog! When I first saw this stamp back in December 2012, I didn't think I needed it, but I was sure my downline, Linda, would be owning it. Little did I know that I would soon be seeing SO MANY STINKIN' CUTE samples made with it that I would have to order one of my own!

Whether stamped in a single color, heat embossed, marker-thumped, baby-wiped, or glittered, I haven't seen a way to use it that I didn't like! I sure hope it makes the New Annual Catalog beginning on June 1st!

See you tomorrow for another Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Best of Flowers #1!

Stampin’ Up! Best of Flowers #1!

Good morning! Today is an exciting day for me! I get to go shopping ALL DAY with ALL of my daughters and my oldest granddaughter! I can't wait!

In addition to shopping, my youngest daughter, Alisa, (who is expecting my 6th grandchild, a boy! in July) will be starting her baby registry! I love it!

Since I have a few minutes before we leave, thought I would show you another of the cards we will be making tomorrow and Saturday at my "Best Of" Class!

I received a card with this general layout from Kathy Alt at last Saturday's Stampin' Up! St. Louis Regional, so I changed out the colors and designer paper, changed the greeting, added a technique and a Rhinestone, to make it my own!

Using the Best of Flowers stamp set, of course, I inked the miniature "Upsy Daisies" (Did you know that the re-issued stamps from the past are minatures of the originals? They are, which makes them perfect as an addition to the originals!) first in Wisteria Wonder ink, and then sponged on some Rich Razzleberry before stamping all together on the Whisper White!

I did the same inking technique on the "Oh Hello" stamp from the Oh Hello Stamp set. What do you think? After using this technique on the Tea Shoppe card HERE, I am having fun coming up with new ink color combos. Some colors don't look well together, and some, such as Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant, really look almost the same when used together, so some experimentation is fun!

It probably doesn't look like it in this photo, but the chevron oval is actually stamped in Basic Gray!

Here's my Wisteria Wonder-inked stamp being sponged with Rich Razzleberry ink!

Same inking technique for the inside word from Amazing Family!

Upsy daisy 2

Here's a quick tutorial to make the Oval Punch Faux Bow:

Fold each punched oval gently and attach ends together with Glue Dots.

Attach both folded ovals
to DSP strip with Glue Dots.

Oval punch faux bow 10

To finish off center of bow, add a small strip of designer paper, a button, or a punched out shape with a Glue Dot.

That's all I have time for today! See you tomorrow for another Stampingrox! day!
