Stampin’ Up! Heart & Home Honeybees!

Hey there! Brrr! Yesterday while driving to my daughter's photography studio to help with Scarlett's 4-month photo shoot, I saw a line of brave daffodils blooming by the road, while it was snowing! It got really cold here last night, down into the teens, but next week it's supposed to be back up into the 60's again. Hang on, pretty little daffodils!

My card today isn't created with daffodils, but with the Heart & Home Designer Series Paper, Honeybee Home Bundle, Beautiful Shapes Dies, and Hive 3D embossing folder. I love when Stampin' Up! brings so many pretty products together in one catalog!

I cut both layers of the honeycomb with Beautiful Shapes dies, then embossed the Pale Papaya layer with the Hive 3D embossing folder. After stamping the bee an coloring with a Bumblebee Stampin' Write Marker I cut it with a Honeybee Blooms die. I added Clear Wink of Stella to the Pale Papaya honeycomb and the bee for some shimmer.

I stamped the greeting with black ink on a 5/8" wide strip of Cinnamon Cider.

Inside I stamped with more Honeybee Home images.

Stampin’ Up! Honeybee Home!

Hey there! Today’s card was inspired by a swap I posted last Sunday created by Karen Davis. My card is very similar, but I added touches to it that is called “stepping-it-up” to feature a few more products at a workshop I am doing later this week.

I used the Honeybee Home stamp set, which comes in a bundle with Honeybee Blooms dies (even though I didn’t use any of the dies on this card). I used Bumblebee card stock and Bumblebee ink to stamp the background layer. I sandwiched a layer of Basic Black between the stamped Bumblebee layer and the Bumblebee card base.

I stamped the bee with Tuxedo Black ink, then colored him with Bumblebee Stampin’ Write Marker. I stamped him on the 3″ x 3″ white focal image layer, then cut with one of the Beautiful Shapes dies. I embossed a 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″ square of So Saffron with the Hive 3D embossing folder to put behind the opening. I added a bow tied with Black & White 1/4″ Gingham Ribbon for a pop of color. It’s hard to see in the picture but I added Clear Wink of Stella to the bee’s wings.

I added a gold Bumblebee Trinket with a glue dot.

Inside I stamped the background card base with the same Bumblebee ink, then added another Honeybee Home sentiment (the one of the front is from the set too), flowers, and bee.

Stampin’ Up! Bluey for Fiona!

Hey there! Today's card could be classified as "punch art", except I didn't use any punches! I created a special "Bluey" card for my 2 year-old granddaughter, Fiona, who loves to watch the Australian hit cartoon show, "Bluey". If you aren't familiar with it then you probably don't have any littles in your family right now, but once you see it you will be hooked! It's a skillfully crafted show for young and old alike! I love to watch the love and nonsense, as well as life lessons, this show presents!

Instead of punches I used a set of dies from the January/June Mini Catalog called Beautiful Shapes!

With the addition of the ears this card will not fit in our regular medium envelopes, but if you shortened the base of the card to take the length of the ears into account you could make it fit.

Basically, I used the shapes of the dies to create the parts of the Bluey face. I had to do a little bit of snipping to create the nose and mouth, but that is all. I used a White Stampin' Chalk Marker to add the light to her eyes. I cut the letters for Fiona's name from Night of Navy card stock using Playful Alphabet dies. I added Adhesive Sheet to the back of the card stock before cutting so it would be easy to adhere to the card.

Inside I used a sentiment from the Happiest of Birthdays stamp set with Night of Navy ink, then added hearts from the From All of Us stamp set ( I will show you the cards I made with that set tomorrow!) using Daffodil Delight ink.

I had fun making this "punch art" (actually "die art") for Fiona! I've been told she has been carrying it around the house this week kissing it and saying "blue"!
