Stampin’ Up! Best of Retiring Part 3!

Stampin’ Up! Best of Retiring Part 3!

Hey there! Instead of Sunday Swap Day I'm continuing my "Best Of" Year in Review with Retiring Stamps and Accessories. I've been going through my blog archives from the past year, and I'm not only amazed at the volume of stamping I've done, I'm also amazed at what's retiring and what's not!

A couple of things to remember about the Retiring List (expiring May 31st)

STAMPS are guaranteed available up until May 22nd. After that date they will only be available while the current supply for that set lasts.

ACCESSORIES ARE ONLY AVAILABLE WHILE SUPPLIES LAST! ORDER SOON! LIKE TODAY!

You can still use the links in the supply lists to find the available items in my online store.

First, a card created with the retiring In the Meadow and Endless Thanks.

Next,  I used In the Meadow again for Troy's birthday card. The Acorn Punch is also retiring.

I used retiring Cake Crazy from the Occasions catalog to create Jaxon's 5th birthday card. To view the entire post, click HERE.

I used another retiring set, Bear Hugs, for Lando's 2nd birthday card. Click THIS LINK to see the full post!

I'm seeing a trend. I choose retiring sets to make family cards. Of course, when I choose to stamp with them I have no idea they will retire, but it's working out that way!

Finally for today, I created this easy-peasy card with the retiring Carousel Birthday and Festive Textured Impressions folder.

Stampin’ Up! In the Meadow for Troy!

Stampin’ Up! In the Meadow for Troy!

Hey there! Before I show you my card today, I just want to remind you! The Online Extravaganza starts today!

Check out the list of discounted items I am posting below, than RUN to my online store to place your order before supplies run out! http://bit.ly/shopwithCarolPayneStamps

Today's card I created for my son's birthday. He loves the outdoors, so I used In The Meadow, stamping on the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to create this:

Stampin_up_in_the_meadow_carolpaynestamps2

I embossed the Very Vanilla strip, and embossed the Early Espresso card front too!

Stampin_up_in_the_meadow_carolpaynestamps3

I love the look of stamping on the negative side of the embossing folder so you get the look of the images being behind the trees!

Stampin_up_in_the_meadow_carolpaynestamps4

Now, I know that acorns and pine cones do not grow on the same tree, and certainly  not on the birch trees in this folder, but I love the look of all of it together, don't you?

Stampin_up_in_the_meadow_carolpaynestamps5

The phrase "To someone who's great around . . " just barely fit inside the acorn builder punch!

All of the stamped images in this card are from In The Meadow.

Stampin’ Up! Hello Lovely Project Life Card Collection Wedding Card!

Stampin’ Up! Hello Lovely Project Life Card Collection Wedding Card!

Hey there!

Project Life card collections contain 100 cards in three sizes, perfect for scrapbooking or cardmaking. With two of each double-sided design you can have double the fun! The Hello Lovely card I used today was 4"x 6", so I cut 3/8" off each end to fit the 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Soft Suede card front with a 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" Soft Sky layer in between.

Stampin_up_hello_lovely_project_life_carolpaynestamps1

A Floral Phrases sentiment was stamped in the center of the flower wreath with Soft Suede.

Stampin_up_hello_lovely_project_life_carolpaynestamps2

I trimmed 5/8" Burlap Ribbon into a 3-strand length to wrap around the card front, then tied the remaining 2-strands in a bow. Tiny pearls are the only other embellishment.

Stampin_up_floral_phrases_carolpaynestamps1

Another Floral Phrases sentiment and a few flowers from In the Meadow, inked with Old Olive, Calypso Coral, and Soft Sky markers.

Stampin’ Up! In the Meadow!

Stampin’ Up! In the Meadow!

Hey there! Today's card was created with a stamp set I didn't plan to buy! In the Meadow first appeared in the spring Occasions Catalog. I didn't order it because there were other wonderful products to choose.  One of my customers accidentally ordered it twice, so I traded for her choice of product of the same value.

For my first creation with this set I stamped the deer and the trees inside the Woodland Textured Embossing Folder before inserting Sahara Sand card stock and running through the Big Shot. My card base is Soft Suede, layered with Garden Green and then the stamped/embossed/sponged Sahara Sand layer.

Stampin_up_in_the_meadow_carolpaynestamps1

I stamped the banner and "thanks" from Endless Thanks with Garden Green and Soft Suede ink, cut it out, then sponged with Soft Suede. I looped Copper Metallic Thread behind the banner, securing with dimensionals.

Stampin_up_in_the_meadow_carolpaynestamps2

Stamping the deer directly on the negative side of the Woodland folder results in the look of the deer peeking from behind the trees!

Stampin_up_in_the_meadow_carolpaynestamps3

I kept the inside simple, to match the simple sentiment from Endless Thanks.

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day!

Hey there! I am scheduling this post on Saturday night so I don't have to think about it in the morning. I'm trying to make my Sundays be more of a day of rest, so from now on, if I don't have my blog post done on Saturday night, it's not happening.

Short & sweet, here are the swaps I want to share with you today!

First, a card by Martha Swift with the Grateful Bunch set:

Stampin_up_grateful_bunch_martha_swift1

The inside is a pretty as the front!

Stampin_up_grateful_bunch_martha_swift4

Next, Tina Biby combined Flower Shop and Friendly Wishes with the embossed resist/brayer techniques!

Stampin_up_flowe_shop_tina_biby1

Inside she used another bloom from Flower Shop and another sentiment from Friendly Wishes!

Stampin_up_flower_shop_tina_biby3

This swap with In the Meadow and the Corner Fold technique arrived nameless, which is too bad, because it is beautifully done!

Stampin_up_in_the_meadow1

The deer, trees, and grass are all stamped in black on watercolor paper, then expertly water colored. The fawns spots and the ears and tails are highlighted with the retiring white gel pen.

Stampin_up_in_the_meadw3

Raedean Shibata used retiring-but-still-gorgeous Timeless Elegance Designer Paper with Rose Wonder stamps and Rose Garden framelits to create a special wedding card:

Stampin_up_rose_wonder_raedean_shibata1

The custom-envelope is part of the card!

Stampin_up_rose_wonder_raedean_shibata2

Finally, Cindy Ewertz combined Botanical Garden Designer Paper, Mint Macaron, Whisper White, and a strip of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper with a greeting from Watercolor Words for her creation:

The May Online Class will feature the MARQUEE MESSAGES  set from the upcoming New Annual Catalog!
