Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Dreams Flip Flap Bee!

Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Dreams Flip Flap Bee!

Hey there stamping friends! Today I have another Dragonfly Dreams card to share with you. I used the Flip Flap Fold with the Hexagon Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to create this fun bumblebee card:

Stampin_up_hexagon_dragonfly_dreams_carolpaynestamps1

I stamped the greeting from Jar of Love with Eaink before inking up the raised side of the Hexagon folder and embossing the layer.

Stampin_up_hexagon_dragonfly_dreams_carolpaynestamps2

The bumblebee die coordinates with the stamp from Dragonfly Dreams. I stamped the bee with So Saffron and cut out the bee from Gold Foil.

Inside I used a phrase from the retiring set, Friendly Wishes.

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day!

Hey there! I am scheduling this post on Saturday night so I don't have to think about it in the morning. I'm trying to make my Sundays be more of a day of rest, so from now on, if I don't have my blog post done on Saturday night, it's not happening.

Short & sweet, here are the swaps I want to share with you today!

First, a card by Martha Swift with the Grateful Bunch set:

Stampin_up_grateful_bunch_martha_swift1

The inside is a pretty as the front!

Stampin_up_grateful_bunch_martha_swift4

Next, Tina Biby combined Flower Shop and Friendly Wishes with the embossed resist/brayer techniques!

Stampin_up_flowe_shop_tina_biby1

Inside she used another bloom from Flower Shop and another sentiment from Friendly Wishes!

Stampin_up_flower_shop_tina_biby3

This swap with In the Meadow and the Corner Fold technique arrived nameless, which is too bad, because it is beautifully done!

Stampin_up_in_the_meadow1

The deer, trees, and grass are all stamped in black on watercolor paper, then expertly water colored. The fawns spots and the ears and tails are highlighted with the retiring white gel pen.

Stampin_up_in_the_meadw3

Raedean Shibata used retiring-but-still-gorgeous Timeless Elegance Designer Paper with Rose Wonder stamps and Rose Garden framelits to create a special wedding card:

Stampin_up_rose_wonder_raedean_shibata1

The custom-envelope is part of the card!

Stampin_up_rose_wonder_raedean_shibata2

Finally, Cindy Ewertz combined Botanical Garden Designer Paper, Mint Macaron, Whisper White, and a strip of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper with a greeting from Watercolor Words for her creation:

Stampin’ Up! Farmer’s Market Flower Shop!

Stampin’ Up! Farmer’s Market Flower Shop!

Hey there! Today I have a swap I created for OnStage Live in Salt Lake City. Some of the products are sold out from the Retired List, but I still wanted to share:

Stampin_up_flower_shop_carolpaynestamps1

I had been hoarding this Farmers Market Designer Series Paper for months, waiting for the right inspiration. Stampin Up! told us before OnStage  the Flower Shop stamp set would be carrying over into the new catalog, so I used a bloom from it to fill the teacup cut from Kraft card stock.

Stampin_up_flower_shop_carolpaynestamps2

The "Hi!" was stamped with the  retiring Alphabet Rotary Stamp on the Very Vanilla spoon. The Tea Lace Doily, also retiring, will be replaced by a new Delicate White Doily when the new catalog begins on June 1st.

Stampin_up_friendly_wishes_carolpaynestamps_1

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day!

Hey there! It's Sunday, time for more swaps! yay!

First, Karen Kurz used the Brick Wall Textured Impressions folder to create the background for this card using the Pretty Thankful set. After embossing the Cajun Craze card stock with the folder, Karen used her White Gel Pen to accent the lines of the bricks and to add little dots to give them more texture. She created an arched window behind the cut out tag by adding a simple punched circle. Flowers punched with the Petite Petals and Itty Bitty Accents punches finish off her creation.

Stampin_up_pretty_thankful

Next, Kelly Acheson used one of my personal faves, Definitely Dahila. She added a strip of Everyday Chic Designer Paper to the Delightful Dijon card base, then stamped a sentiment from Lovely Amazing You.

Stampin_up_definitely_dahlia

Amy Combs combined the Friendly Wishes set with Bohemian Designer Paper, adding the coordinating Bohemian Designer Washi tape to the end of her tag.

Stampin_up_friendly_wishes_1

Finally, Luann (no last name given) used Friendly Wishes, Timeless Elegance Designer Paper, and the Fancy Fold Corner Technique:

Stampin_up_friendly_wishes_ 2

The inside of the card front shows the flap even better:

Stampin_up_friendly_wishes_4

Stampin’ Up! Friendly Wishes for Zach!

Stampin’ Up! Friendly Wishes for Zach!

Hey there! The blog hop yesterday was awesome! If you haven't hopped through our Christmas in July hop, go back to yesterday's post and start hoppin'! You'll be glad you did!

I made today's card for my granddaughter's boyfriend, Zach . . . . . . . . . .

You heard that right.

Maddie Kate has a boyfriend? How did this happen?

She's fourteen. He's now 16. They don't car date, they group date and date with either his family or hers. I started dating my husband when I was 14, so now I might be starting to feel a "little" old.

He is also an exceptionally thoughtful,  caring, God-loving, tall, handsome young man. I couldn't attend his party, but I sent this:

Stampin_up_friendly_wishes_1 - Copy

I used the Mini Treat Bag Thinlet Die again. Are you shocked?

I made a gift card holder for the insert. You can't have a self-respecting birthday card without a little money it!

Stampin_up_friendly_wishes_2 - Copy

To give the greeting a baseball look,  I used the Updated Essentials Paper-Piercing Template, Paper-Piercing Tool, and Stampin' Pierce Mat to pierce the double-curved lines, adding "stitching" with a Real Red marker.

Stampin_up_friendly_wishes_3 - Copy

For the insert "pull" I stamped a mini-birthday cake!

Stampin_up_friendly_wishes_4 - Copy

Here's the supply list so you can make a card for your "Zach". You will find everything you need to order in my online store: carolpayne.stampinup.net
