Stampin’ Up! Best of Retiring Year in Review Part 5!

Hey there! I'm back again today with more of my "Best of Retiring" creations from the past year. I will be back tomorrow with one more day of this series, then it's back to new creations!

Stampin’ Up! Bear Hugs for Darcy!

Hey there! I've not had a chance until now to show you a card I created for Darcy's 2nd birthday. The card I created today is the girl version of Lando's birthday card I showed you HERE.

Besides the feminine color combo of Melon Mambo, Soft Suede, and Very Vanilla, I had to add a Melon Mambo 1/8" Stitched Ribbon bow. I used the Falling Petals Textured Impressions Folder for the background.

Forr the inside of Darcy's card I used the Balloon Pop-Up Thinlet die and Balloon Adventures stamps.

The Balloon Bouquet Punch coordinates perfectly with this bundle of stamps and dies!

The confetti stamp from Balloon Adventures is the perfect complement to the phrases in the set.

I embossed the envelope with the Falling Petals folder too. I learned though, to place the part of the folder that is less filled with hearts over the envelope because when you emboss both envelope layers the paper can crack!

Stampin’ Up! Bear Hugs for Lando!

Hey there! Lando is our only January birthday, so I created a special card with Bear Hugs, Number of Years, and Large Numbers Framelits.

I love this cuddly bear!

I wanted his arms to be dimensional, so I stamped two of him with Basic Black ink on Soft Suede, cut with a Bear Hugs Framelit, and glued together!

The "2", stamped with Number of Years in Pacific Point ink on Pacific Point and cut with a Large Numbers Framelit, snuggles perfectly in his arms.

I stamped the greeting with Pacific Point on Very Vanilla before I embossed with the Woodland Folder. Sponging with Soft Suede made the birch trees pop!

I used the same stamp-before-embossing technique on the inside.

Stampin’ Up! Bear Hugs for a Baby Boy!

Hey there! I just love new babies! Today there's a baby shower at church for a girl who's having a little boy. Her nursery theme is "fishing", so I used Bear Hugs and One Big Meaning to create this:

I started with a Tip Top Taupe card base, stamping with the Hardwood Background and Tip Top Taupe ink. I punched a 1 1/2" circle, lining up the right edge of the punch with the right edge of the card and pushing the card base in as far as it would go.

I stamped the greeting from One Big Meaning with Tip Top Taupe on Very Vanilla, punching with the Classic Label Punch.

I laid the Very Vanilla inside layer inside the card to stamp the Bear Hugs fish through the circle. I used the Baby Wipe Technique to create a custom "inkpad" with Pool Party and Island Indigo ink refills. I hand-drew the bubbles with a Pool Party Stampin' Write Marker.

I added Bear Hugs sentiment inside with Tip Top Taupe. I made 40 of these clean-and-simple cards in just a few hours! Easy-peasy!
