Stampin’ Up! Sweetie Pies & Flower Shop!

Stampin’ Up! Sweetie Pies & Flower Shop!

Hey there! Busy day today around here! LIam is here for awhile until his daddy picks him up after he is done at school today, so things are really hopping! I'm working diligently on my packing and prepping everything I need for the Stampin' Up! Western Caribbean Cruise. We leave for Ft Lauderdale Friday afternoon. Yikes!

I love the card I have to share with you today, but I'm also a bit sad because the photopolymer set I used for the focal point, Sweetie Pies, is out-of-stock already! ugh! The new Annual Catalog has new photopolymer sets in it that will not sell out because Stampin' Up! will be manufacturing their own photopolymers from now on! yay!

Here's the card:

Stampin_up_sweetie_pies_1 - Copy

I've been using a lot of my retiring designer paper, getting ready for all the beautiful new patterns that are in the New Annual Catalog, so this card uses three of the designs from the Gingham Garden Designer Series paper. I also used the retiring Square Lattice Textured Impressions Folder on the Basic Black strip across the center of the card. The flowers are stamped with the Flower Shop stamp set and punched with the Pansey Punch, which are NOT retiring, but the Bundle that saves you 15% off the combination of the stamp set and punch IS retiring. I will include the images for those in my supply list below so you can go right to my Online Store to order before the bundle sells out! The Wish Big greeting is from Delightful Dozen, which is also carrying over to the new catalog.

Stampin_up_sweetie_pies_2 - Copy

Inside and on the envelope I continued the Flower Shop theme, stamping with Melon Mambo, Island Indigo, and Daffodil Delight to match the Gingham Garden paper. The inside sentiment is from Really Good Greetings with is NOT retiring.

That's all for now. If you have been thinking about ordering any of the retiring stamp sets I would advise you GET THEM NOW before they are gone. Go to my webstore HERE or click on any of the pictures in the supply list below to start your order.

BTW! Stampin' Up! also just re-stocked the Clearance Rack with new discounted items from the last Holiday Catalog, so there's lots new there too!

AND all orders of $25 or more receive Bluesox Tokens from me, good toward free stuff from any Stampin' Up! catalog!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’Up! Yes, Mam’s Downline Meeting Swaps!

Stampin’Up! Yes, Mam’s Downline Meeting Swaps!

Hey there! I had a fun but busy Sunday! First, I helped in the nursery at church during the morning service. I do this once a month, partnering with my daughter, Jessica. It's always fun, but right now there's a bunch of little guys in there, including two of my grandsons, Jaxon and Liam, that make it even better!

After Sunday dinner at my house with 4 of my kids in attendance, I went back to my church to set up for the quarterly meeting of my Yes, Mam! Stampers!

I set up my display of my Leadership Board and more samples:

DSC_0095

Our main activity was a Shoebox Swap:

Stampin_up_downline_meeting_1

Stampin_up_downline_meeting_2

Everyone is concentrating (and enjoying!) making each other's cards!

Here's a few of our creations of the day:

Stampin_up_by_the_seashore_michelle_daschka_1

Michelle Daschka's "By the Seashore" creation, complete with a real sea shell!

Stampin_up_owl_builder_punch_michelle_daschka_1

Michelle also brought these little treat cup favors for everyone! She found the cups in the grocery store, then used her Owl Builder Punch to create coordinating little tags for a festive look!

Stampin_up_chalk_talk_angie_lisk_1

Angie Lisk used the Chalk Talk stamp set and Framelits Bundle, Decorative Dots Textured Impressions Folder, and the colors of Crumb Cake, Real Red, Coastal Cabana, and Whisper White!

Stampin_up_chalk_talk_angie_lisk_2

Inside she used the Envelope Liner Framelit Die to create a gift card holder with more stamps from the Chalk Talk set.

Stampin_up_regarding_dahlias_martha_swift_1

Martha Swift created a card with two options using the Regarding Dahlias stamp set, Decorative Dots Textured Impressions Folder, 3/16" Corner Rounder Punch, Encore Gold Metallic ink, and Gold Foil Paper. You could make this portrait version using the Starburst Framelits to cut the flower layers.

Stampin_up_regrding_dahlias_martha_swift_2

Or you could make the card landscape, hand-cutting the dahlia with Paper Snips, then punching Basic Black flower layer with the Blossom Punch, the next dahlia layer with the Pansy Punch, the next Basic Black layer with the 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch, and the final dahlia layer with the scallop circle Itty Bitty Shapes Punch.

Stampin_up_thoughts_and_prayers_collage_linda_reaney_1

Linda Reaney's creation uses a bunch of stamps with Rich Razzleberry and Always Artichoke ink: Flower Shop, Petite Petals (Occasions), En Francais background, and Thoughts and Prayers! The "happy Birthday wishes" is from Petite Pairs. All the stamping is on Naturals Ivory, then layered on Always Artichoke and finally a Rich Razzleberry card base. She added a bit of Victoria Crochet Trim for the perfect final touch!

That's all I have for you today. There are a few more swaps to share, but I'm saving them for tomorrow! Oh, and in case you are wondering, the Tangerine Tango Stampin' Up!  Inspire, Create, Share bag is from the Make & Take Session at Leadership. All attendees received one! Stampin' Up! is so good at giving little perks like these!

You can go to my Online Store to shop for the supplies to make these cards by clicking HERE.

Stampin’ Up! Flower Shop Emboss Resist!

Stampin’ Up! Flower Shop Emboss Resist!

I'm still thinking about stamp sets that would be good ones to choose as a new demonstrator starter kit, so I created this card, again with Flower Shop:

Flower shop emboss resist 1

I used the emboss resist technique, stamping the flowers with Versamark on Very Vanilla, then heat-embossing with Clear powder. I then sponged with Soft Suede, Crushed Curry, and Cherry Cobbler, rubbing the excess from the embossing with a tissue between each color. I sponged the edges with Soft Suede, then layered onto a mat of Early Espresso. For the background layer I stamped the flowers with Soft Suede on Baked Brown Sugar cardstock, then dry-embossed with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Folder and the Big Shot. I sponged the raised ridges with Soft Suede ink. I adhered a piece of 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon with Tombow Multipurpose Adhesive. I stamped "wonderful you" from Loving Thoughts in Early Espresso ink and snipped the ends into banner points. The Very Vintage Designer Button was too crisp and clean to go with all the sponging on this card, so I sponged the button with Soft Suede ink before tying a thread of Burlap Ribbon into a bow through the holes and adhering to the card with a couple of Glue Dots.

Flower shop emboss resist 2
Inside I repeated the emboss resist technique in the corners and stamped phrases from Bring on the Cake.

That's all for now. Thanks so much for stopping in to see my creation today!

If you want to take advantage of the $25 Demonstrator Starter Kit which is only available until October 21st, just go to my website and click on the "Join the Fun" button. If you don't want to purchase the Starter Kit, you can shop in my Online Store while there.

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!
