Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day!

Hey there! It's a beautiful Sunday morning! I get to go to church today! yay! I will be missing church for the next two Sundays because I will be on (and coming home from) the Stampin' Up! cruise, so I'm especially glad for today!

I hope to be able to schedule posts for while I'm gone, so keep checking back! We leave on Friday!

Today I have  three fun swaps to share! The first one is perfect for Mother's Day, which will be coming up in just TWO Sundays, can you belive it?

Mary waring 1

Mary Waring created her card with Gingham Garden Designer Paper for the flower pot base, Gingham Garden Designer Washi Tape to seal the sides of the pot, and Delicate Details Lace tape for the flower pot rim embellishment. (ALL three of these products are on the Retiring Accessories List but ARE still available) You can access the lists by clicking on the links:

The pull-up portion has Flower Shop and Petite Petals flowers, both punched with the coordinating punches, and pearls for the centers. I love this type of card! I haven't made one in awhile!

Deb McCahan used a tutuorial she found on Splitcoaststampers to help her create this unusual pop-out card with Happy Watercolor, Secret Garden(retiring and now only available in Clear Mount), and Mixed Bunch:

Pop! Deb used the "pedestal pop up" tutorial in case you want to go look for it!

Finally for today, an adorable punched puppy card by Nancy Hall!

Nancy hall 1

Nancy used the Heart Framelit Dies for the puppy's face and ears, then used the Full Heart Punch (retiring), Small Heart Punch (retiring), and circle punches for his face and tongue.

Inside she stamped the numbers image from Bring on the Cake, (also retiring and already SOLD OUT), highlighting the age number with a Real Red Stampin' Write Marker!

That's all for now. I need to get my Sunday dinner in the oven before I'm off to church! Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Here are the products used today that are retiring but STILL AVAILABLE:

Stampin’ Up! Tea Shoppe Tea for Two!

Stampin’ Up! Tea Shoppe Tea for Two!

Good Morning! I'm off to have a "Liam Day" today, but before I go I want to show you one of the three Technique cards we will  be making Saturday at my Punch/Technique Class!

I combined last year's Occasions Catalog favorite, Tea Shoppe stamp set with this year's Tea for Two Designer Paper, then added Delicate Details Lace Tape Masking, a technique Shelli Gardner demonstrated for us at Leadership:

You can see a hint of the lace tape masking on the card front, but it's much more evident on the inside, where I also used words from Blooming with Kindness, one of my favorite birthday phrases!

Here's a quick overview of this technique:

Attach the lace tape to the cardstock "lightly", do not press it into the project so it will be easier to remove later. Sponge desired color over and around tape, filling in all the openings in the design of the tape. Crumb Cake was sponged on the Crumb Cake cardstock for this project.

Finally, gently remove the tape to expose the lovely sponged design! This tape comes in two different designs in the package, so you have more variety. The tape is a type of tacky adhesive-backed plastic, so you can't really color ON it, but you can sponge over it, remove the tape, then re-use the tape on anther project (just be sure you wipe off any excess ink that may remain on the tape).

There are TWO more Technique projects coming up the next two days, so check back tomorrow and Friday!

Until then, have a Stampingrox! day!
