Stampin’ Up! Cat Punch!

Hey there! I'm continuing my series featuring many of our punches. Today I'm sharing this card created with the Cat Punch and Heart & Home Designer Series Paper. I used the Heart & Home DSP for the background, the greeting strip, and one of the punched cats!

I punched three cats, one from Cinnamon Cider, one from Crumb Cake, and one from Heart & Home DSP. I embossed the cinnamon cider cat with the Macrame 3D embossing folder and added Early Espresso ink to the edges with a Blending Brush.

After I added Early Espresso to the Crumb Cake cat it started looking like a Siamese!

I embossed the Heart & Home DSP cat with the Tasteful Textiles folder.

I stamped the greeting from Honeybee Home with Early Espresso ink on the flip side of one Heart & Home DSP print. I sponged the edges with Early Espresso and added a tiny Brushed Brass Butterfly.

Inside I stamped an extra layer of Crumb Cake with another sentiment and an image from Honeybee Home. Early Espresso sponging acted as a divider between the layers.

Stampin’ Up! Pop-Up Whale Done!

Hey there! Today I have my final card created with the Whale Done stamp set and Whale Builder Punch! Although more time consuming to make, this one is probably my favorite!

For this one I used Pool Party for my card base, 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2". I embossed a 4" x 5 1/4" Basic White with the Seashells 3D embossing folder, then softly added Pool Party ink to the raised images with a Blending Brush.

I stamped the greeting from Happiest of Birthdays with Bermuda Bay ink, cut with a Tasteful Labels die, then stamped the seaweed to match the hand-cut Granny Apple Green seaweed I adhered to the card front with liquid glue. I added a few Coastal Cabana Artistry Blooms Adhesive-Backed Sequins for a bit of sparkle.

When you open the card two Pool Party whales pop up! I adhered them to 1/2" wide pieces of window sheet (clear acetate) that I sandwiched between two pieces of Pool Party card stock, 1" x 4", scored at 1/2". I adhered the window sheet strips with Tear & Tape adhesive, then adhered the remaining edges over the inside fold the the card with liquid glue.

I stamped the sentiment from Happiest of Birthdays with Bermuda Bay ink on a Pool Party piece of Simply Marbleous Sale-a-bration paper, then added a seahorse with Bermuda Bay ink and seaweed and fish with Granny Apple Green. The fish and seahorse are found in the Whale Done set.

With the Whale Builder Punch I was able to add a whale to both sides of the window sheet strip, and was even able to coordinate the fins!

I used my Blending Brush to add Pool Party ink around the sides of the whales to give them some depth.

I finished the remaining inside layer with another piece of Pool Party Simply Marbleous paper and Whale done images.

Stampin’ Up! Whale Done!

Hey there! I hadn't played with my Whale Builder Punch is quite awhile, so I decided to give it a play. I discovered that the Simply Marbelous Designer Paper that is a free Sale-a-bration choice with a $50 order can make beautiful "water". I used a Misty Moonlight piece from the pack that has both of these prints on each side. Which one do you think is more water-like?

The Whale Builder Punch punches the whale body, the fin, the mouth/belly, the eye, and the blow/spray.

I tried two different treatments to the blow/spray to give it more of a watery effect. This one I added Clear Wink of Stella.

This one I added Shimmery Crystal Effects.

All of the images I used on the inside are from Whale Done.

Stampin’ Up! Hello Ladybug!

Hey there! Today I want to share this fun card with you that I created for a swap I participated in last month for J&J Mini Catalog and Sale-a-bration products. My card today uses the Hello Ladybug Bundle and Flowering Fields Designer Paper from the J&J Mini!

After stamping the ladybug wings with Poppy Parade ink on Basic White, I stamped the dots with Tuxedo Black Memento and then added Clear Wink of Stella to give them some shine. You can stamp the ladybug body with black ink, but I saved time by punching the body from Basic Black card stock.

I combined two phrases from Hello Ladybug , "hello" and "my friend" on the same stamp block to create the greeting, and added a ribbon bow with my favorite Black & White 1/4" Gingham Ribbon. I added Matte Black Dots to the Poppy Parade-stamped flowers, also from Hello Ladybug. The Matte Black Dots really pop against this color palette of Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz, Basic White, and Basic Black!

Inside I stamped another Hello Ladybug sentiment, as well as more Poppy Parade blooms.

I used Black Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the wings to the ladybug body, as well as to adhere the body to the card. These dimensionals come in a combo back of both regular-size and mini dimensionals. Black dimensionals are less noticeable with you are using darker card stocks.

This card was really easy and fun to make! I didn't even get tired of making the 21 I needed for my swap!

Stampin’ Up! Amazing Silhouettes for the first day of the new Mini Catalog!

Hey there! Today is the first day that you can order from the new January/June 2022 Mini Catalog! From now on I'm going to refer to it as the "J/J Mini", so just remember that little abbreviation, ok?

To kick-off this new catalog, as well as the start of Sale-a-bration (yes, another SAB is now in effect for January and February! Isn't it cool that we now get TWO SAB's, two months each, for a total of FOUR MONTHS throughout the year?!) I am sharing this center-easel card I created with the Amazing Silhouettes Bundle from the J/J Mini and Friendly Hello Designer Paper (part of the Friendly Hello stamp set/designer paper bundle free with a $100 order during Sale-a-bration):

Amazing Silhouettes is a "distINKtive" stamp set, so it takes up ink a little differently. If you just ink it on the firm foam stamp pad it will be too juicy to stamp with the delicate details built-in to the stamp, so instead I applied ink to the stamp surface with a sponge dauber. I stamped the butterfly image first, then embossed with the Meadow Moments Embossing Folder.

Both layers of the "thank" and "you", black and designer paper, were cut with the Amazing Thanks dies from the Amazing Silhouettes Bundle. I used the "you" as the easel-stop, and added a few Matte Black Dots to pull the Basic Black, Pool Party, and Basic White look all together.

I used five mini stampin' dimensionals to make sure "you" was firmly in place to hold up the easel.

Stampin’ Up! Snowflake Wishes Wreath!

Hey there! Today I have a pretty snowflake card I CASE'd from myself! I CASE'd my Stampers Dozen Blog Hop card HERE to turn it into a Christmas card!

I used the Pearlescent Specialty paper from the Annual Catalog to stamp the snowflakes from the Snowflake Wishes stamp set with stamped-off-once Misty Moonlight ink. After stamping I then embossed with the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder. The Pearlescent paper is so much more shimmery in real life, this picture simply doesn't do it justice!

I cut the wreath with three different layers: vellum on the bottom, Silver Foil Specialty in the middle, and Misty Moonlight on the top. I adhered each with tiny dots of liquid glue.I tied a bit of 1 1/2" Metallic Mesh Ribbon, also found in the Annual Catalog, into a perky bow and added it with a glue dot.

I heat embossed the greeting from For Unto Us onto Misty Moonlight card stock, then double-punched with the Label Me Lovely Punch to get the smaller label. I also accented the card front with a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Here's how I double-punched the greeting label. I only partially punched the embossed greeting once as shown here:

Then I attached a post-it-note to the punched piece to re-insert into the punch to punch the other side.

I used a sentiment from Snowflake Wishes on the inside and added a layer of Silver Foil behind it.

Here's a paper-saving tip! Cut the Silver Foil wreath layer out of the center of the inside foil layer before adhering to the inside of the card. After you add the stamped Very Vanilla layer (which coordinates with the creaminess of the Pearlescent Specialty paper better than Basic White) over it no one will ever know!
