Stampin’ Up! Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop April Edition Congratulations!

Stampin’ Up! Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop April Edition Congratulations!

Hey there! It's April 15th, which means it's time for another Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop! Yay!

April's theme is Congratulations for weddings, babies, graduations; you name it, we've got you covered!

If you're already on the hop you probably just came from Stella MacKay's blog, Stellar Stamps. I am absolutely blown away by Stella's Herringbone Congratulations Heart, aren't you? I want to make one just like it SOOOOO bad!

Since next month is a month with LOTS of graduations, I decided to go with a graduation congratulations card for my hop project, combining the congrats theme with a fun fold for my monthly swap. I'm killing two birds with one stone, as they say!

Stampin_up_byop_1

I used the B.Y.O.P stamp set from the Occasions Catalog to create a gift card holder card. What does B.Y.O.P stand for? Buy Your Own  Present! This set is a perfect set to make gift card holders for just about any occasion!

Stampin_up_byop_2

When I think of graduations I always think of stars because the graduate is the star of the day, so I used the Perpetual Birthday Calendar stamp set, Stars Framelits, Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, and the Confetti Stars punch to be able to add a myriad of stars to my card!

Stampin_up_byop_3

The sentiment on the back is also from B.Y.O.P. and encourages the recipient to open the card to find:

Stampin_up_byop_4

A gift card, of course!

The directions to to creating this multi-folded card are actually very simple:

Dimensions: 5 1/2" x 11", scored at 2 1/2", 4", 7", and 8 1/2". Fold and crease sharply with a bone folder all of the scored lines, then cut with the largest Window Frames Framelit. Use bits of painter's tape to hold the framelit in place. Even though you can use the Magnetic Platform when you cut it out, the thickness of the multiple folds of the card will not allow the magnetism to grab and hold the framelit:

Stampin’ Up! Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop March Edition, Stamping Home Decor!

Stampin’ Up! Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop March Edition, Stamping Home Decor!

1797524_10152216933805070_1250170996_n

Hey there! It's the 15th, which means it's Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop Day! March's theme is Home Decor, which is a bit of a challenge for me, but it's good to stretch out of your comfort zone, right?

If you are already on the hop, you probably just came from Stella MacKay's blog, Stellar Stamps!  I always love Stella's projects, don't you?

To start my quest for ideas for home decor, I went to Dollar Tree and Hobby Lobby. The first thing I picked up at Dollar Tree was an open-weave twine place mat. I actually picked up three of these in spring green, tangerine tango, and midnight muse. I still have ideas for the other two, but this is the result with the spring green mat:

Stampin_up_all_abloom_bow_builder_punch_wreath_1 - Copy

Wreath forms can be pricey sometimes, so finding these place mats for a dollar was a deal I just couldn't pass up. I think it looks pretty wreath-ish, yes?

Stampin_up_all_abloom_bow_builder_punch_wreath_3 - Copy

I cut the "hello spring" letters with my Little Letters Thinlets Dies from Strawberry Slush Backgrounds Designer Paper. They are layered on a hand-cut Whisper White banner, layered on two strips of 1 1/4" Burlap ribbon that I banner cut the ends too.

I didn't even have to worry about a hanger on the wreath because my wreath hook fits through the open-weave of the place mat perfectly!

But here's the BEST part of this wreath: the flowers were made with the Bow Builder Punch and the All Abloom Designer Series Paper Stack that is on sale in the Weekly Deals through tomorrow!

Here's the supply list for this project. You can find all the supplies in my online store: http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/carolpayne/

I know the price shown below for the All Abloom Designer Paper Stack says $6.95, but trust me, it's on sale for $5.21 through 11:50 p.m. MT Monday night!

Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop November Edition Happy Holidays!

If you are already on the hop you probably just came from Stella MacKays' blog, Stellar Stamps!  I just loved Stella's gift box decorations, didn't you?  So cute and festive!

I combined the Ornamental Pine set with Bird Builder punch art:

Stampin_up_ornamental_pine_cardinals_4 - Copy

I heat-embossed the Ornamental Pine branch with white on Baked Brown Sugar cardstock, then "built" my cardinal using the Bird Builder Punch. I sponged the Cherry Cobbler pieces with Cherry Cobbler ink for depth of color, then nestled the birdie on a couple of Always Artichoke leaf sprays punched with the same Bird Builder punch.

The Petite Pairs "merry christmas" greeting and Frosted Sequin snowflake add just the right touch for a warm and cozy card!

I used my Rotary Trimmer Attachment on my Stampin' Trimmer with the Small Scallops blade on the to of the bag and the lower edge of the card front.

Inside the card I used the Beauty of the Season set:

Stampin’ Up! No Sunday Swap Day, yet!

Stampin’ Up! No Sunday Swap Day, yet!

Hey there. No Sunday Swap Day, "yet". I say "yet" because the wayward discs have been found! yay! After I turned my house upside down throughout the day yesterday, my sweet husband came home and found them after only about 30 minutes! It's not that he knew where to look, he just sifted through some shelves that I hadn't look through enough.

Another bright side to this: some areas of my house that have need serious organization have been paid attention to! yay!

Troy will be bringing the laptop back to me this afternoon, and if all goes well, should have me up and running by this evening! yay!

Just in time too, as tomorrow is the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! I have my project ready, I will just have to re-load the pictures onto my new hard drive, edit, and post!

Also, a friend is coming over this afternoon to help me work on my Founder's Circle swaps, all 113 of them! My daughter, Kimberly, is going to help too, so it should go much faster than just me by myself! yikes!

So hoping to get a few quick swaps on here later today. If not, I will post them on Tuesday after the blog hop is over.

Be sure to check back at least tomorrow for the hop! Our theme this month is "Spook-tacular", so I bet you can guess what that means! lol! Come take the hop tomorrow, starting with my blog (I hope!), then "hopping" through 12 other of my Stampin' Up! demonstrator sister's blogs to see their fun projects!

If something goes wrong with the laptop re-start, I will post the listed links for the hop so you can take it even if I can't post my project.

That's all for now, time to get ready for church!

Until tomorrow, or later today, have a Stampingrox! day!
