Stampin’ Up! Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop May Edition, Masculine May!

Hey there! It's time for the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop! Our theme is "Masculine May"!

For my manly creation I used the Hardwood Background, Traveler, Timeless Textures, Friendly Wishes, and Happy Happenings. ALL are carrying over to the new catalog! yay!

I used three of the 6 vintage images from Traveler, and used a color palette of Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, and Very Vanilla.

I used the new Annual Catalog Layering Squares Framelits to cut all of the layers around the train, globe, and steamship. These framelits, along with new Circles, Ovals, and Hearts, are going to be must-haves when the new catalog premieres on June 1st!

I stamped "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" from Happy Happenings with Early Espresso, then stamped over with stamped-off Crumb Cake using the cross-hatch stamp in Timeless Textures. I cut the banner around it with the banner die from the Gift Card Envelope & Trims Thinlets.

I used the cross-hatch background for all of the vintage images.

Inside I went a little crazy with cross-hatch stamping, but it made a great background for the sentiment from Friendly Wishes!

Stampin’ Up! Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop April Edition, Forever Friends!

Hey there! I'm in Salt Lake City, Utah, this week for the Stampin' Up! OnStage Live Convention! We get first look at the new Annual Catalog debuting on June 1st while we are here! whoo hoo!

Today's post for the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop is all about friends. I chose the "Helping Me Grow" set from the Occasions Catalog for my creation:

I used So Saffron, Whisper White, and Basic Black for my color palette.

I punched a half-hole in the fold of the card front to thread through Basic Black 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon and tie in a bow. I punched the black-heat-embossed greeting with the Word Window PUnch, then stamped the daisy behind the greeting with So Saffron ink.

I colored White Perfect Accents with my black Sharpie for some pop in the center of the flowers that I black-heat-embossed then sponged on So Saffron with a Sponge Dauber for more control.

Inside I black-heat-embossed the sentiment, then stamped the entire daisy image over it with So Saffron ink. The envelope is lined with So Saffron Designer Paper from the Subtles Color Collection Paper Stack.

Stampin’ Up! Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop March Edition, Color Challenge!

Hey there! It's time for the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop! Thirteen blogs with thirteen awesome ideas from top Stampin' Up! Demonstrators! yay!

March's Hop theme is a color challenge!

This color challenge was REALLY a challenge for me! If you follow my blog you know I usually don't use this many colors on one card. Three at the most, and one is usually a neutral, like Whisper White or Very Vanilla!

So I just played with these colors until I came up with this:

I cut a stencil to sponge Lost Lagoon, Blackberry Bliss, and Calypso Coral butterflies on a Whisper White background, then stamped and punched Petite Petals flowers to match!

I managed to use the Old Olive and Hello Honey colors by punching the leaves from Old Olive card stock and punching the flower centers from Hello Honey-stamped blooms with the tiny flower in the Tree Builder Punch!

Although the ribbon is Watermelon Wonder 1" Striped Satin, it coordinates perfectly with Calypso Coral, don't you think?

Inside I sponged more butterflies and stamped a greeting from the Perfect Pairings Sale-a-bration set. REMEMBER! Sale-a-bration will END on Thursday, March 31st, so be sure to place your order of $50 or more so you can get a freebie from the Sale-a-bration brochure!

Stampin’ Up! Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop February Edition, Etch-a-Sketch!

Hey there! It's time for the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop! yay!

Here's the card sketch we're using this month for our Etch-a-Sketch theme:

I used "Helping Me Grow" from page 20 of the Occasions catalog, and used FREE (with a $50 order) Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper from the Sale-a-bration brochure:

I heat-embossed the daisies with black powder on Calypso Coral, then sponged on Calypso Coral ink for added "pop"! I colored a White Perfect Accent with a black Sharpie marker for the center of the daisy, and cut it out with a Floral Frames Collection Die.

After black heat-embossing the greeting, I punched with the Washi Label punch, then added a Basic Black-punched washi label that I cut in half and added to each end. A half-scallop circle punched from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper adds a little festive sparkle.

I kept the inside simple with just black heat-embossing.

Stampin’ Up! Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop June Edition Bold & Bright

Hey there! It's time for the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop again! This month's theme is "Bold & Bright" and my "partners-in-crime", AKA fellow-stamper's-dozen-blog-hop creators, have hit it out of the ballpark this month! If you're already on the hop, you've just come from Stella MacKay's Stellar Stamps! Didn't you just LOVE Stella's Definitely Dahila card?

With stamping time in short supply, I decided to pull out the "All Boxed Up Kit" from the new catalog. Paired with the "All Boxed Up" stamp set, these came together in a snap!

The kit includes pre-cut, pre-scored, AND pre-adhesived boxes, circle tags, printed banners, gold foil stickers, baker's twine, pompom trim, and clothespins to make TEN boxes, all for only $14. Quite a deal!

I stamped on the circle tags with phrases from the All Boxed Up stamp set using Bermuda Bay and Watermelon Wonder Stampin' Write Markers.

There are LOADS of gold foil stickers included in the kit!

I can see LOTS of uses for the phrases in this set for more than just treat boxes. (You know I'm a card-making girl at heart!)

I stamped on the circle tags with phrases from the All Boxed Up stamp set using Bermuda Bay and Watermelon Wonder Stampin' Write Markers.

There are LOADS of gold foil stickers included in the kit!

Stampin’ Up! Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop Manly May!

Hey there! It's not May 15th yet, but we decided to have the hop early this month because several of the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop members will be in Hawaii for the Stampin' Up! Incentive Trip on the 15th. Today we we have a manly theme to help you get ready for Father's Day and all of those guy birthdays coming up! When you are finished hopping through all 13 blogs, you will have LOADS of ideas!

I found inspiration from Stampin' Success, a magazine just for Stampin' Up! Demonstrators. I used the Guy Greetings stamp set and the Adventure Bound Designer Series Paper Stack with Kraft, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, and Basic Gray card stock. All ink is with the Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad.

The magazine suggested using a Take Out Box for the shirt box, but I didn't have one on hand so I made my own box with the Envelope Punch Board. The Bow Builder Punch made the perfect bow tie to go with the shirt and "vest"!
