Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day!

Hey there! It's a beautiful Sunday morning! I get to go to church today! yay! I will be missing church for the next two Sundays because I will be on (and coming home from) the Stampin' Up! cruise, so I'm especially glad for today!

I hope to be able to schedule posts for while I'm gone, so keep checking back! We leave on Friday!

Today I have  three fun swaps to share! The first one is perfect for Mother's Day, which will be coming up in just TWO Sundays, can you belive it?

Mary waring 1

Mary Waring created her card with Gingham Garden Designer Paper for the flower pot base, Gingham Garden Designer Washi Tape to seal the sides of the pot, and Delicate Details Lace tape for the flower pot rim embellishment. (ALL three of these products are on the Retiring Accessories List but ARE still available) You can access the lists by clicking on the links:

Deb McCahan used a tutuorial she found on Splitcoaststampers to help her create this unusual pop-out card with Happy Watercolor, Secret Garden(retiring and now only available in Clear Mount), and Mixed Bunch:

Opening . . . then open just a liiiiitle more . .

Deb McCahan 2

Pop! Deb used the "pedestal pop up" tutorial in case you want to go look for it!

Deb McCahan 3

Finally for today, an adorable punched puppy card by Nancy Hall!

Nancy hall 1

Nancy used the Heart Framelit Dies for the puppy's face and ears, then used the Full Heart Punch (retiring), Small Heart Punch (retiring), and circle punches for his face and tongue.

Nancy hall 2

Inside she stamped the numbers image from Bring on the Cake, (also retiring and already SOLD OUT), highlighting the age number with a Real Red Stampin' Write Marker!

Stampin’ Up! Punch Kite Tutorial and Two More Kite Cards!

Stampin’ Up! Punch Kite Tutorial and Two More Kite Cards!

Hey there! Yesterday was a CRAZY day! My son just bought his first home; he closed on Thursday! We are so happy for him AND it is next door to Alisa & Cody, so they are over the moon excited too! Since Troy and Cody had yesterday off for Good Friday they decided to try to get AS MUCH DONE AS POSSIBLE this weekend so he can get moved in soon!

I'm helping with the cleaning, painting, and renovations (I'm a consultant for the renovations, but an ACTIVE participant in the cleaning and painting!), so my whole day yesterday was spent at Troy's. I tried to get on here to post my kite tutorial before I left yesterday morning, but something was wrong with Typepad and I couldn't even get in to my blog, so I had to give up and move on.

I'm headed to Troy's again today, but I have a few minutes here to show you how I made the kite from my Stampers Dozen Blog Hop post on Tuesday HERE, and I have two more kite cards to share!

I started by punching a triangle with the Triagle Punch from Whisper White. This triangle is just my base I am going to use to attach the visible kite pieces to:

Kite 1

I adhered a Basic Black triangle over the base trangle, leaving just a bit of the widest part of the triangle visible:

Kite 2

I adhered the straight-sided Petite Pennant punched piece to the remaining strip of the base Triangle. I snipped off the tips of the base triangle that stick out on the edges.

Kite 3I cut really thin strips of cardstock for the "struts" of the kite. I adhered them on the kite, then trimmed the ends with my Paper Snips. (sorry for changing kite colors, but apparently as I made three different kites I didn't remember to take pics of every step with the same one! lol! Sometimes I get so caught up in the creative process I forget!)

Kite 5

Here's another card featuring the kite and the Word Bubble clouds I created an embossing plate for. I showed you how I made my plate HERE.

Stampin_up_express_yourself_1 - Copy

Inside I simply stamped a phrase from Really Good Greetings:

Stampin_up_really_good_greetings_1 - Copy

My final kite card I used the Fresh Prints Designer Paper Stack for the kite. I punched the frosting from the Cupcake Builder punch from Whisper White scraps, then sponged Whisper White Craft ink through the negative space for my clouds:

Stampin_up_fresh_prints_1 - Copy

Inside I stamped phrases from Remembering Your Birthday:

Stampin_up_remembering_your_birthday_1 - Copy

That's all for now! Tomorrow is Sunday Swap Day, so I'll be back then with some fun swaps to share!

Oh, in case you haven't heard, Monday, April 21st Stampin' Up! will be releasing the Retiring Stamps and Accessories Lists! This year BOTH lists will be while-supplies-last, so get your order in quick!

AND >>>>>>>> April 21st through 25th ONLY!

You will probably want to order a lot of things next week, so until then, (and tomorrow!) have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day for the Babies!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day for the Babies!

Hey there! It's Sunday again, which means it's the day I share more of my swaps! yay!

Today I have three adorable baby cards for you! Let's get started!

Stampin_up_label_love_1

First up is a card that has no name on it, but it sure is cute! The creator cut her "bib" with the Ovals Collection Framelits from Whisper White cardstock and Blushing Bride Patterns Designer Paper.

Stampin_up_label_love_2

A close up shows the detail of the punched greeting from Label Love using the Artisan Label Punch, 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch, and the banner cut with one of the Butty Banner Framelits.

A side view shows this is a completely bib-shaped card:

Stampin_up_label_love_3

Our next creation is by Kathy Johnson. Kathy used the Circle Framelits to create her "teddy bear"!

Stampin_up_teeny_tiny_wishes_1

Up close you can see that she used the Fringe Scissors to cut this girly teddy's eyelashes:

Stampin_up_teeny_tiny_wishes_2

Another fully-shaped card using lots of scallop circle and circle punches, small heart punch, Crumb Cake 1/2" Seam Binding, Word Window Punch, Boho Blossoms Punch, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Silver Baker's Twine, and a Pearl Basic Jewel.

Stampin_up_teeny_tiny_wishes_3

Finally, Tamie Ackerson created an adorable "onesie" card from a template you can find online. She embossed the Whisper White with the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder, and edged it with Strawberry Slush 3/8" Ruffled Stretch Trim. She chose to stamp the lion from Zoo Babies with Strawberry Slush for her circle-punched medallion.

Stampin_up_zoo_babies_1

Inside she simply stamped a phrase from Cuddles & Kisses!

Stampin_up_zoo_babies_2

Babies DO make your heart happy, don't they?

That's all for now. Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Here's the supply list for today's projects. You can choose the products you wish to order from the list and then go HERE to make your purchase:

Stampin’ Up! Grunge Butterflies!

Stampin’ Up! Grunge Butterflies!

Hey there! Rain, rain, rain! All it has done at my house today is rain! It has alternately thundered and rained, lightened up, then thundered and rained again ALL DAY, and it is raining now as I write this! At least it's not snow!

While it's been raining, I've been stamping! Bet you could have guessed that anyway, huh? Today I have a fun little butterfly card made with the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and both the Elegant and Bitty Butterfly punches:

Stampin_up_gorgeous_grunge_butterflies_1 - Copy

I CASED this card from Michelle Last of the U.K., and you can view her card HERE. Michelle is a very talented stamper, but even she CASES cards now and then! Michelle CASED her card from one her downline, Tracey May! You can view Tracey's card HERE.

As you can see, even a CASED card morphs into something a little bit different every time as the CASE-er changes the card just a little bit to suit their fancy!

In case you are wondering what CASE means, it stands for Copy And Share Everything, which is a friendly standard Stampin' Up! Demonstrators live by world-wide!

Stampin_up_gorgeous_grunge_butterflies_1 - Copy (2)

I punched the butterflies with both the Elegant and Bitty Butterfly punches from Soft Sky cadstock, Fresh Prints Designer Paper, and Vellum cardstock. They are layered on each other with Glue Dots, as well as adhered over the Pool Party-stamped Gorgeous Grunge splatters with the same.

Inside I stamped a sentiment from Happy Watercolor. I really liked adding the "scratch" stamp to the sides of the layers. It gives a nice contrast of images with the splatters.

Stampin_up_gorgeous_grunge_butterflies_2 - Copy

That's all for now. I'm going to head to bed and hope the rain stops before morning, athough it IS soothing to sleep with a gentle rain falling!

Here's the supply list for everthing you need to CASE your own version of this card. You can purchase your supplies from my online store HERE.

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Hippity Hoppity Hip Notes!

Stampin’ Up! Hippity Hoppity Hip Notes!

Hey there! Hope you've had a good day. I had a short visit from Jessica and her little boys (Cohen & Jaxon) for a few hours this evening, so add in some stamping earlier today and it's been practically perfect!

My card for you tonight is an original Carol Payne from start to finish! No CASEing, just a new punch treatment for an cute little bunny, and the greeting from Hip Notes makes it perfect for a spring birthday!

Stampin_up_hip_notes_1 - Copy

I used lots of oval punches for this little fellow. I sponged the Baked Brown Sugar cardstock with Whisper White craft ink, and the lining of his ears and his nose are Blushing Bride Designer Paper and cardstock.

Inside the card I continued the oval theme to layer the greeting from Really Good Greetings.

Stampin’Up! Scalloped Tag Topper Bunny Box!

Stampin’Up! Scalloped Tag Topper Bunny Box!

Hey there! I've had a fun day today, creating and CASEing some new projects! The first one I want to show you is another project you can choose to make at my Happiest Day Class this Friday. I was inspired by Michelle Last of the UK to make these bunny boxes:

Stampin_up_scalloped_tag_topper_box_1

I made a few minor changes, but the basic construction is all Michelle's. You can view her video and instructions HERE. I hope after you view her instructions you will be inspired to come back and purchase your Stampin' Up! supplies from me in my online store. (USA residents cannot purchase from UK demos and vice-versa)

Stampin_up_scalloped_tag_topper_box_2 - Copy

I added little "bunny tails" to mine with hearts punched from Blushing Bride Patterns Designer Paper and the Small Heart Punch.

Stampin_up_scalloped_tag_topper_box_6 - Copy

The box opens and can hold several pieces of chocolate! (is there any other kind of candy?)

Stampin_up_scalloped_tag_topper_box_3 - Copy

I added an easter-egg basket to the Early Espresso bunny with the Large and Extra-Large Oval punches, the circle punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack for the "eggs", and the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Folder for the baskets' "weave".

Stampin_up_scalloped_tag_topper_box_4 - Copy

When you watch Michelle's video, she will give you some tips for cutting the flower stems with the Fringe Scissors! You tie the twine around the stems before you make the final cut from the cardstock, an ingenius way to keep the stems together as you tie the bow!

Stampin_up_scalloped_tag_topper_box_5 - Copy

I stamped and cut out this bunny's egg with the Backyard Basics Bundle of stamp set and Big Shot framelits.

That's all for now. I hope you are now inspired (and instructed) by Michelle's video to make your own bunny boxes! If you have any questions, you can just leave me a comment or email me: carol@carolpaynestamps.com

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Here's the supply list to make the bunny boxes:
