Stampin’Up! Blended Bloom Scalloped Tag Topper Screen Card!

Stampin’Up! Blended Bloom Scalloped Tag Topper Screen Card!

Hey there! I've been working on the projects for my Punch & Technique Class this weekend. I received a "Screen Card" in my monthly swap from Kelly Acheson, so I adapted it for the "punch" project in my class:

Stampin_up_blended_bloom_1

I added a scallop at the top of each screen section with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. It gives it a "victorian wardrobe" look, don't you think?

Here are the sections up close:

Stampin_up_blended_bloom_2

I used the same stamps that Kelly did, but I changed the color palette, partly because I had a full pack of Old Olive 12×12 cardstock on hand, but mostly because I seem to be on a big Blackberry Bliss kick right now!

Stampin_up_blended_bloom_3

Really Good Greeting, Yippee-Skippee, and Label Love, stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, show up nicely on the Blended Bloom background.

Stampin_up_blended_bloom_4

A few touches of rhinestones here and there:

Stampin_up_blended_bloom_5

I added a 5th layer to the back of the 4th screen to have an area for signature.

Here's your supply list for your order in my Online Store:

That's all for now! Come back tomorrow to see the technique we will be doing at class this weekend! Until then, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop May Edition: I Do!

Stampin’ Up! Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop May Edition: I Do!

1797524_10152216933805070_1250170996_n

Hey there! It's Stampers Dozen Blog Hop time again! yay! This month our theme is "I Do!" and oh my goodness do we ever have some gorgeous projects for you! If you are already on the hop, you've just come from Laura Milligan's blog "I'd Rather "Bee" Stampin'!" I love her creations every month, don't you?

For my project today I actually CASED a project from page 14 of the New Annual Catalog. I can't show you the actual catalog picture until after the new catty goes live on June 2nd, but I can show you my version of their wedding favor:

Stampin_up_label_love_1

This is SO CUTE and SO EASY! I used a combo of New Catalog Sneak Peek and current-but-carrying-over products to make these.

New Catalog Sneak Peek products used:

Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack #133701 $6.95

Blackberry Bliss 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock: #133675 $6.95 (one of the 5 new In-Colors for 2014-16!)

Blackberry Bliss Classic Inkpad #133642 $5.95

Blackberry Bliss 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon: #133668 $8.95 (10 yds)

Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack #133787 $16.95 (flower punch from the pack)

Current Catalog Products(these products will also be in the New Catalog):

Label Love stamp set #130619 wood-mount $24.95 or #130622 clear-mount  $17.95

Artisan Label punch #130920 $15.95

Cellophane Bags 1" x 8" #124134 $2.50 (50 per pkg)

Whisper White 5/8" Organza Ribbon #114319 $5.95

Pearls Basic Jewels #119247 $4.95

Stampin' Dimensionals #104430 $3.95

I found the easiest way to fill the skinny little cello bags was to use a funnel inserted into the top of the bag. As the rice funneled in I squeezed the sides of the bag so the rice would fill evenly:

Blog hop 2

I used Long Grain Brown Rice for one bag  and Black Rice for the other. The Black Rice is actually kind of a purple-y color which matched the Blackberry Bliss cardstock, ink , and ribbon perfectly!

Stampin_up_label_love_3

These little bags can hold lots of fun things: M & M's, jelly beans, licorice sticks, pixie stix; anything that will slide into the 1" x 8" bag will work. One end of the bag has a little adhesive strip cover you remove, then fold down the flap to secure your goodies inside!

I had cut the points of the pennants with my Paper Snips. I cut up from the center of the end about 3/4", then cut into the top of the first cut from each corner. This is the easiest way to get perfectly even points almost every time!

I punched the hole for the ribbon with the circle punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (which is retiring), but there is a NEW hand-held 1/4" Circle Punch coming in the New Catalog that will work even better. We've had this size of a circle hand-held punch before, but this one has an even LONGER reach than before! yay!

While several of today's products are not available to order until June 2nd, you can still shop HERE for current, retiring, Clearance, and Weekly Deals products!

Before I go, I just wanted to share a picture of our Stampers Dozen Blog Hop group. 10 of the 13 of us were on the Stampin' Up! Incentive Trip last week, so we scheduled a time to meet, swap, and take a group picture:

Stampers_dozen_blog_hop_cruise_pic

Front row l to r: Lee Conrey, Jodi Reinert, Judy Garza, Patty Chenail, and me!

Back row l to r: Stella MacKay, Laura Milligan, Janet Wakeland, France Martin, and BJ Peters.

The crazy "photobomber" in the back is Pam Morgan, a VP on the Stampin' Up! Corporate Team! Pam is a fun and beautiful person, inside and out!

That's all for now. Next you will want to hop over to Judy Garza's blog, Stampingwithjudyg to see what she has created for us!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day for the Babies!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day for the Babies!

Hey there! It's Sunday again, which means it's the day I share more of my swaps! yay!

Today I have three adorable baby cards for you! Let's get started!

Stampin_up_label_love_1

First up is a card that has no name on it, but it sure is cute! The creator cut her "bib" with the Ovals Collection Framelits from Whisper White cardstock and Blushing Bride Patterns Designer Paper.

Stampin_up_label_love_2

A close up shows the detail of the punched greeting from Label Love using the Artisan Label Punch, 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch, and the banner cut with one of the Butty Banner Framelits.

A side view shows this is a completely bib-shaped card:

Stampin_up_label_love_3

Our next creation is by Kathy Johnson. Kathy used the Circle Framelits to create her "teddy bear"!

Stampin_up_teeny_tiny_wishes_1

Up close you can see that she used the Fringe Scissors to cut this girly teddy's eyelashes:

Stampin_up_teeny_tiny_wishes_2

Another fully-shaped card using lots of scallop circle and circle punches, small heart punch, Crumb Cake 1/2" Seam Binding, Word Window Punch, Boho Blossoms Punch, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Silver Baker's Twine, and a Pearl Basic Jewel.

Stampin_up_teeny_tiny_wishes_3

Finally, Tamie Ackerson created an adorable "onesie" card from a template you can find online. She embossed the Whisper White with the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder, and edged it with Strawberry Slush 3/8" Ruffled Stretch Trim. She chose to stamp the lion from Zoo Babies with Strawberry Slush for her circle-punched medallion.

Stampin_up_zoo_babies_1

Inside she simply stamped a phrase from Cuddles & Kisses!

Stampin_up_zoo_babies_2

Babies DO make your heart happy, don't they?

That's all for now. Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Here's the supply list for today's projects. You can choose the products you wish to order from the list and then go HERE to make your purchase:

Stampin’Up! Scalloped Tag Topper Birthday Basics Balloon Card!

Stampin’Up! Scalloped Tag Topper Birthday Basics Balloon Card!

Good morning! My laptop had been grumbling at me for the past couple of days about updates, which I had been ignoring, but last night it refused to upload my camera photos, so I accepted the inevitable, updated, restarted, and went to bed!

This morning the cold/sinus thing is still with me. I feel better, but am debating visiting a clinic to get some meds. The left side of my face is still full of junk!

I know I am feeling better because I sat down and stamped this last night. It just made me happy!

Stampin_up_birthday_basics_label_love_1 - Copy - Copy

Next to Christmas cards, birthday cards are my favorite to make, and this one was pretty quick and easy! Cards with closures made with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch are very trendy right now. I made this one is a bit easier with a "faux closure". Here's how I did it:

I started with Gumball Green cardstock 4" x just a hair less than 2":

Stampin_up_scalloped_tag_topper_tab_1 - Copy

I punched both ends with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch:

Stampin_up_scalloped_tag_topper_tab_2 - Copy

I cut the punched strip apart, making one piece 1 1/2" long and the other 2 1/4" long. I added Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of each piece as shown:

Stampin_up_scalloped_tag_topper_tab_3 - Copy

After adhering the pieces to my card front I tied a 12" piece of Raspberry Ripple 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon through the slots of the punched ends.

Stampin_up_scalloped_tag_topper_tab_4 - Copy

Inside I used more of the Birthday Basics Designer Paper and a Very Vanilla strip punched with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. I stamped a sentiment from the Photopolymer stamp set, Bombs Away Birthday with Raspberry Ripple ink.

Stampin_up_birthday_basics_bombs_away_birthday - Copy

We are nearing the end of Sale-a-bration (ends March 31st!) AND we are also nearing the end of the current Annual Catalog. I'm awful about hoarding Designer Paper, but this year I'm trying to use more of it up before it retires. You will be seeing LOTS more Designer Paper used on my creations and inside the envelopes from now on!

If you haven't subscribed to my newsletter, please do so today. Each newsletter I send out contains an exclusive tutorial just for my newsletter subscribers. My next newsletter will contain a tutorial to make the balloons I have featured on today's card!

I'm including a supply list below that you can use to shop in my Online Store. Click on any of the product pics and you will be taken directly to my store.

Stampin’Up! Sunday Swap Day: Baby, We’ve Grown!

Stampin’Up! Sunday Swap Day: Baby, We’ve Grown!

Hey there! We had a good "Vivid Vases" class today. Several were unable to make due to various circumstances, so I'm going to offer it again on March 22nd along with my Burlap and Blooms Wreath Class.

Today I have a selection of baby card swaps I received at Leadership:

Stampin_up_baby_we've_grown_2

This baby boy card was created with  the colors of Coastal Cabana, Whisper White, and Baked Brown Sugar. Embossed with the Alphabet Press folder. Colored with a Blender Pen and Coastal Cabana ink. A bit of Baked Brown Sugar 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Ribbon for the perfect final touch!

Stampin_up_baby_we've_grown_1

This card uses the same phrase from Baby We've Grown, with Watercolor Wonder Designer Paper. One of the Designer Frames embossing folders was used around the stamped image, which has again been softly colored with Daffodil Delight ink and a blender pen. Daffodil Delight 1/2" Seam Binding adds the final touch to this one!

Stampin_up_label_love

Last but certainly not least we have the onesie card! Watercolor Wonder Designer Paper again. Scalloped Circle and Circle Punches used for the neckline and legs. A Label Love image, stamped with Calypso Coral and punched with the Artisan Label Punch and mounted on a 2 1/2" Scallop Circle complete this one!

Well, that's all for now. I'm headed off to bed. The "dreaded taxes" are still looming. It makes me tired just thinking about it. I found out this week I am a "procraftinator" – I'd rather stamp and create than cook, clean house, or do monthly bookkeeping. So I'm miserable for a few days every February trying to re-create a whole year. Sad. Every year I swear I will do better (bet you do too, don't you?) and then life gets going and before I know it here I am again with a mountain of paper to sift through.

ENOUGH of my whining.

You can always go HERE to find the supplies used for today's samples. I would really appreciate the chance to help you make something fun. Just call or email if you have any questions!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!
