Stampin’ Up! Girls Night Out Projects!

Stampin’ Up! Girls Night Out Projects!

Hey there! I had a really nice time at my friends house last night. It's just an informal get-together. We each bring a snack and a project we have prepped for everyone else to make. The project I brought I shared with you yesterday HERE.

Today I'm sharing the projects my three friends created for us!

First, Cindy Lisk prepared an explosion box card for us. She cut up a vintage atlas for the panels decorating the side and the box flaps!

Stampin_up_explosion_box_1

Next, Tudy Hoffman created a circle side-step card using retired Stampin' Up! Gumball Green card stock and dies. It's a bright and cheery, watermelon/picnic card!

Last but not least, Angie Lisk, who is also a demonstrator on my team of Yes, Mam! Stampers, created two projects, one for us to make and one finished for us to take home!

First, she made us this Ray of Sunshine medallion with a magnet on the back so we can hang it on our fridge. She used the Floral Frames Framelits for the "sunshine" effect with retired designer paper.

Stampin_up_ray_of_sunshine

Angie also prepared this adorable watermelon treat bag using the In Color Envelope Paper and the Mini Treat Bag Thinlet Die:

Stampin_up_mini_treat_bag_watemelon

Her easy-peasy tip to punch Basic Black card stock with the heart punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, then cut them in half and shape them just a bit for the watermelon seeds was a hit!

Hey there! It's Sunday again, which means it's worship day and Sunday Swap Day! yay! All of these swaps I received in the monthly card swap I participate in. I send in 21 full cards to Carol Nordquist in Minnetonka, MN, and I get back 20 all different cards.

First, Nancy Hall used a fun fold with Timeless Elegance Designer Paper and the new Birthday Blossoms set:

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day!

Hey there! Here's a little bit of what we did last night for the 4th: sparklers for Oakley!

Oakley 4th of july 2015 2

I had issues with my camera on the night setting, so this pic is really blurry, but I still caught the joy on his face!

Oakley july 4th 2015 1

His mommy and Uncle Logan with him the whole time, so he always supervised.

Oakly 4th of july 2015 3

Despite those pesky mosquitoes, we had a great 4th!

Thank you for being patient. I know you really come by to see me to see some Sunday Swap Day creations:

First, Katy Simecka paired Garden in Bloom with English Garden designer paper. She added a pop of Melon Mambo ribbon, flower center, and sentiment layer!

Stampin_up_garden_in_bloom_1

She left the inside blank except for those adorable bumble bees crawling in and out. So easy and CUTE!

Stampin_up_garden_in_bloom_2

Next, Jan Rodrian used the Circle Card Thinlets Die with the I Think You're Great set. She used Mint Macaron Envelope Paper, Gold Glimmer-punched stars, and a Soft Suede-punched Fun Flower to back her greeting:

Stampin_up_I_think_youre_great_1

Of course, Circle Cards ALWAYS flip, so Jan used a sentiment from A Dozen Thoughts for the flip side!

Stampin_up_I_think_youre_great_2

The watercolor look is a big trend right now, and the new Watercolor Words set gives you lots of choices! Susie Wood chose "just for you" from this set for her creation:

Stampin_up_watercolor_words_3

Sue Berreth used "hope" with a flower and heart from Watercolor Words. This is a lovely flat card that still has a lot of depth by embossing the image layer with the Brick Wall folder:

Stampin_up_watercolor_words_4

Finally, Ruth Bingle combined Rose Red, Pink Pirouette, and Pear Pizzazz, then adding PInk Pirouette 1/2" Seam Binding  while using "you're the best" from Watercolor Words:

Stampin_up_watercolor_words_1

This card is left blank to be ready for almost any occasion!

Stampin’ Up! Big News for Nancy & John!

Stampin’ Up! Big News for Nancy & John!

Hey there! Today I have a special card for a special couple. Nancy & John are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today! The family decided to surprise them with a "card shower".Stampin_up_big_news_1 - Copy

I'm trying to make 2 of every card I create so I can show how easy it is to turn a sketch for two different looks. I mailed the "portrait" layout and kept the "landscape" for my display.

This couple's wedding fulfilled a little-girl dream; I was their flower girl.I can't find a picture right now, so imagine a skinny pixie-haired five year old, white eyelet dress, full skirt, pink sash, white gloves and lacy anklets. That's me!

Everything is heat embossed with gold powder, inside & out. After I embossed the greeting, I cut it out with one of the Ovals Framelits.

Stampin_up_big_news_3 - Copy

A tip: When embossing the Gold Foil Sheet, you MUST rub it with the Embossing Buddy FIRST!

Stampin_up_big_news_2 - Copy

Inside I cut an extra 5 1/4" x 4" layer of Very Vanilla to emboss the sentiment and the Blended Bloom flowers. Very Vanilla is a lighter-weight card stock; with three layers on the front this card would not have stood up. Adding the second layer makes it sturdier.

I lined the envelope with Gold Fancy Foil Vellum.

Another tip: A card with no bumpy embellishments does not extra postage!

Here's the supply list for this card. Go to my Online Store to order:
