Stampin’ Up! Year in Review Continues!

Hey there! I'm plowing through my blog to find retiring favorites again today! I wanted to share these with you while you still have time to order them before they're gone after tomorrow!

I used the retiring Sassy Salutations and Age Awareness for this fun birthday balloon card:

Stampin’ Up! Happy Birthday!

Stampin’ Up! Happy Birthday!

Hey there! I'm working on some projects right now that aren't quite ready to publish, so today I'm sharing with you a couple of cute birthday swaps I received at Dallas OnStage. After an event I always go through my swaps and make a collection of the ones that I'm most impressed with and want to use for a future event. Today's swaps I will be CASEing for my "Stampin' in the New Year" class on January 1st & 2nd!

Kristin Wiggins created this simple party hat card with the Happy Birthday, Everyone set, Cherry on Top Designer Paper, Real Red Pom-Pom Trim, and Silver cording. Her design is so simple but SO CUTE!

Stampin_up_happy_birthday_everyone_1

Jessica Samuels also used Cherry on Top paper for her swap. She used a greeting from Boys Will Be Boys, then used one of the paper-piercing templates from the Eclectic Paper-Piercing templates for the background. A simple star cut with the smallest Stars Framelits, finished off with a single rhinestone gives this card perfection!

Stampin_up_boys_will_be_boys

I can see this layout and paper-piercing technique used for many different occasions, can't you?

All the products used in today's swaps can be purchased in my online store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Four things to remember while you are placing your order in my online store:
1. All orders of any amount (except for Online Class Orders) will receive a Thank You Project Packet in the mail.

Stampin’ Up! Blended Bloom!

Stampin’ Up! Blended Bloom!

Hey there! Just a quick post this morning before I run out the door to Liam & Darcy's house for the day! yay!

Today's card I created as a possibility for my Birthday Card Buffet this weekend using the Blended Bloom set and a Z-fold:

Stampin_up_blended_bloom_1 - Copy

These Z-fold cards are similar in construction to the Watercolor Wings card I shared with you a few days ago HERE.

Both cards have the Blended Bloom stamped with Versamark and then heat-embossed with Black Stampin' Emboss Powder. The card on the left has a blossom base of Blushing Bride and the one on the right is Watermelon Wonder. I used my sponge daubers to add Blushing Bride and Watermelon Wonder, then fussy-cut with my Paper Snips.

Stampin_up_blended_bloom_5 - Copy

I have a hard time deciding which bloom I like best, the Blushing Bride or the Watermelon Wonder, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new Iced Rhinestones in the centers!

Stampin_up_blended_bloom_3 - Copy

  Decisions, Decisions, Decisions!Stampin_up_blended_bloom_4 - Copy

Inside I used the same Blended Bloom stamp along with the sentiment from the Happy Birthday Everyone Hostess set. A great way to reuse the focal point stamp for more than just the card front!

Stampin_up_blended_bloom_2 - Copy

Here's the supply list for today. You can order everything, (except for the Iced Rhinestones, which will be available on September 1st) in my online store:

www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Stampin’ Up! Watermelon Watercolor Wings!

Stampin’ Up! Watermelon Watercolor Wings!

Hey there! I'm going to be sending out my newsletter later today, but I wanted to share with you another of the Birthday Card Buffet cards for next week.

I've not played much with the new In Color, Watermelon Wonder, so I decided to use it for my main color on this card using the Watercolor Wings and Happy Birthday Everyone sets:

Stampin_up_watercolor_wings_1 - Copy

I used Blushing Bride for the lighter color, and my new Archival Basic Black inkpad (available to order September 1st!)

I cut the "for you" with a Mini Treat Bag Framelit Die,  and embossed the front Blushing Bride layer with the Fluttering folder.

This Iced Rhinestone is also new and you can order them on September 1st too!

Stampin’ Up! Tap, Tap, Tap!

Stampin’ Up! Tap, Tap, Tap!

Hey there! It's the last day of June! Wow! This summer is flying by so fast! I hate to say it but fall will be here before we know it. boo.

I've always loved the Tap, Tap, Tap stamp set. When I started working on the cards for my Birthday Card Buffet I knew I wanted to use it:

Stampin_up_tap_tap_tap_1 - Copy

This set combines perfectly with the Typeset Specialty Paper!

Stampin_up_tap_tap_tap_2 - Copy

The typewriter is heat-embossed with white powder on Basic Black card stock, then fussy-cut with Paper Snips. I stamped the top of the typewriter again on Very Vanilla with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, stamped the "tap, tap, tap", then cut out just the sheet of "typing paper" and adhered it.

The mini sheet of "notebook" paper is also a stamp from the set. I cut it out with one of the Squares Collection Framelits and punched the binder holes with a 1/8" Handheld Punch.

Stampin_up_tap_tap_tap_3 - Copy

Inside I stamped "happy Birthday" from my new favorite hostess set, Happy Birthday Everyone. This set has a lovely assortment of phrases to go with the main greeting, including "to a good friend", "to an amazing woman", "to a wonderful man" and more!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day Shoebox Swap With the Mam’s!

Hey there! Yesterday was my monthly Inspiration Meeting with my downline, the Yes, Mam! Stampers. We had a yummy potluck lunch and a shoebox swap!

First, Linda Reaney created this beauty with Best Thoughts hostess, and a greeting from Butterfly Basics:

Stampin_up_best_thoughts_1

Angela Henson used Friendly Wishes, Cherry on Top designer paper and Watermelon Wonder 1" Dotted Lace Trim:

Stampin_up_friendly_wishes_1

We inked the Friendly Wishes phrase with Watermelon Wonder and Tip Top Taupe Stampin' Write markers!

Stampin_up_friendly_wishes_2

Angie Lisk's creation used Cherry on Top paper, Boho Chic folder, Happy Birthday Everyone, and Striped Scalloped Thinlets Die.Itty Bitty Accents punched flowers and rhinestones added perfect final touches!

Stampin_up_happy_birthday_everyone_1

Inside a simple 1/2" strip of Cherry on Top paper, Happy Birthday Everyone phrase, and another Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack flower are all you need!

Stampin_up_happy_birthday_everyone_2

Joanne Cantrell used the Banner punch and a phrase from Build a Birthday with Cherry on Top paper and coordinating washi tape for pops of color.

Stampin_up_build_a_birthday_1

Joanne's second card used the "happy Birthday" from Happy Birthday Everyone. We chose between all five new In Colors for our ink and lace. I chose Cucumber Crush!

Stampin_up_happy_birthday_everyone_1

Martha Swift used Butterfly Basics with Watermelon Wonder, Tip Top Taupe, and Mint Macaron inks. This set is bundled with the Butterflies Thinlet Dies for 15% savings!

Martha also made this card with the Sprinkles of Life set for each of us! She used  Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits to cut the card base and used the Envelope Punch Board to make the custom envelope with new In Color Envelope Paper.

Stampin_up_sprinkles_of_life_1

Finally, Tina Biby used Sheltering Tree. After stamping the foliage, we turned the  stamp over and stamped again to create the solid color background around the leaves. TWO stamps in one!
