Stampin’ Up! Girls Night Out Projects!

Stampin’ Up! Girls Night Out Projects!

Hey there! I had a really nice time at my friends house last night. It's just an informal get-together. We each bring a snack and a project we have prepped for everyone else to make. The project I brought I shared with you yesterday HERE.

Today I'm sharing the projects my three friends created for us!

First, Cindy Lisk prepared an explosion box card for us. She cut up a vintage atlas for the panels decorating the side and the box flaps!

Next, Tudy Hoffman created a circle side-step card using retired Stampin' Up! Gumball Green card stock and dies. It's a bright and cheery, watermelon/picnic card!

Last but not least, Angie Lisk, who is also a demonstrator on my team of Yes, Mam! Stampers, created two projects, one for us to make and one finished for us to take home!

First, she made us this Ray of Sunshine medallion with a magnet on the back so we can hang it on our fridge. She used the Floral Frames Framelits for the "sunshine" effect with retired designer paper.

Angie also prepared this adorable watermelon treat bag using the In Color Envelope Paper and the Mini Treat Bag Thinlet Die:

Her easy-peasy tip to punch Basic Black card stock with the heart punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, then cut them in half and shape them just a bit for the watermelon seeds was a hit!

Stampin’ Up! Stampers Dozen Blog Hop July Edition Hot Hot Hot!

Stampin’ Up! Stampers Dozen Blog Hop July Edition Hot Hot Hot!

Hey there! It's the 15th of the month, which means it's time for:

July's theme is "Hot, Hot, Hot!" and if you just arrived from Stella MacKay's blog, Stellar Stamps you saw her fabulous creations with the Ray of Sunshine stamp set! I love Stella's use of the diagonal "rays" of color for her background, very retro 60's/70's-ish!

My first project today also uses the Ray of Sunshine set:

I used one of the Starburst Framelit Dies to cut the center of the sun, then added 9 banner-punched "rays". I sponged all the Daffodil Delight cardstock with Tangerine Tango ink.

A new Project Life Journaling Pen worked perfect to hand-draw the sunny little face, and I used the White Chalk marker to faux-stitch around the Kraft cardstock base.

I rounded the corners with the corner rounder on the Envelope Punch Board, and created the white copy-paper envelope with the punch board too!

The greeting and the inside sentimet, both from Ray of Sunshine, were stamped with the new Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and the tiny little heart from the Project LIfe Point & Click set was stamped with Melon Mambo ink.

What would Hot, Hot, Hot, be without a riot of yellow and orange blossoms? We made the Ray of Sunshine card and this one with the Flower Patch and Mixed Bunch sets at my Punch & Technique Class this month:

"Your in My Thoughts" from A Dozen Thoughts was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink BEFORE we embossed the Daffodil Delight layer with the Stylish Stripes folder.

The Flower Patch stamps are a breeze to stamp with the Stampin' Pierce Mat under the cardstock, and the Mixed Bunch blossom really added the Tangerine Tango "punch" needed to make this card really bright & happy!

We used the darkest Pumpkin Pie Blendability alcohol marker to color the Rhinestones before adding them to the flower centers.

Inside we stamped my FAVORITE phrase from Perfect Pennants with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
